mine doesnt work when i try and click a folder i want to use the images ive saved there arent there but when i look on the actual folder application the images are there?

Put your PC to sleep and open it, don't sign in and wait for like a minute, it'll start the slideshow. I guess impatience was our issue

Win 11 still broke. It does not let me into gpedut, nor adding a new picture folder (diashow folder: not supporting saved palce/location, although its in "Pictures")

Move the location of your folder to cdrive, it might work

I have an extra selection on the LOCK SCREEN option. 'Lock Screen Status' on the first line and when I click on the drop down box there is a choice for Xbox Console Companion, Weather, Operator messages, Mail and Calendar. Those are the ONLYL choices.

@@matio0354 Try right clicking then select DWORD 32 Bit - Hexadimciaml and then type the name and saVe it.

I’m not a computer geek! I guess the guy who made the video or know one else knows either?
My slideshow works on the background picture , but not since the first day i had my computer the lock screen! It looks like the Personal Folder will go there , but you have to have “One Drive” save your photos in order to do the slide show

My Slide show worked for one day and included all of my photos >>>So I deleted the Photo folder and tried to do a smaller folder of better photos and it says Cannot add folder due to its location ????WTF?????

Select the folder from the roof directive. I'm guessing you're probably selecting it from quick access. If so, don't do that, instead try to find the root (actual) directive of the folder, probably in Disk C;(I don't know where you put yours 🤷), but If you select it from there it'll probably solve your issue.

Why does this never save this setting ? Whenever I click slideshow for my lock screen with 1+ pics it doesnt save and after a restart/shutdown it goes back to the default picture setting. Anyone else have this issue too or a fix for it? went through all the same troubleshooting steps but still does it. (Win 11 Pro)

If it is a slideshow - maybe it just rolls out as a slideshow, if you know what i mean. If you want a specific picture to show up as default maybe you should not choose slideshow.

@@WindowsReport Yes, after I did a lot of research & troubleshooting I figured out myself that you cannot have any screensaver AND a slideshow of pics on the lock screen at the same time, its either one or the other. Thats why when I tried to set both at the same time one setting was reverting back to the way it was, you cant do both and I wish someone wouldve mentioned that somewhere when i was researching cause Microsoft didnt say anything about it 😅

I figured out (even though I DON'T HAVE "ONE DRIVE") this is the only folders it will except! Another manipulative move from microsoft
