Love it! And thanks for always reminding me to use my supplies instead of waiting for the perfect moment. I definitely hoard my supplies and never use them because I'm afraid to mess up. But I want to start using them so I can grow and learn to become a better creator :)
My GOSH that is me!! I also started youtube to push myself to use the stuff that i love so much that i put away and save for "the right moment." That's also why i started giving away my stationery supplies bc it makes me happy to share with others!!
I felt the same way about the same washis! I notice the wider they are, the harder they are to use over time. BUT I didn't toss them, I put them in glass mason jars and use them as decoration in the office!!!!
If you warm up the glue on your Washi tape with a hairdryer, you might be able to resurrect it enough to get strips off. And you can also use it to hold down die cuts & things where you only need a little bit. That way you still get to enjoy the pretty tape 😁
I'm an LA girl too and I've been looking for California inspiration. Super cute tag! Now to go look for a state shape :) And it's is sad to have to throw washi away, I've had to do a few times and because if that, now I use my washi on everything - packaging, holding down dies etc. Thanks for the vids Amy! Jess
What an awesome idea. Amy! Absolutely a MUST DO! 💜 I loved your confession too...I need one of those shammies! I use a sponge applicator, and it does not work very well. I find that wipes dry out too fast to do a good job too. Thanks for including Jack. He's affordable!
I am a new subscriber who just stumbled onto this video and I love it! I can't wait to use my Washi stash and make some Valentine hearts. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Hiya, Enjoyed watching your video Amy with my 7 year old daughter. We are always looking for inspiration for things to do that won't cost an arm and a leg, as the weekends are daddy and daughter time. Lydia my daughter loves your hearts and fox washi tape tags fab idea . We are going to use her HOTP stencils and she wants to make birthday party invites Smilar to your heart tags using washi tapes we only have a few so we going to use different coloured inks and paint them in a straight line like you did with the washi.and we're going to stamp over the paint with a pattern stamp to make it look interesting. My daughters says Hi to you and your little cute boy Jack!Hugs from UK. xx
I'm obsessed with washi tapes so much! I've been collecting them for more than a year and I have more then a hundred of them. And I want more! I'm kinda scared to think how much money I've already spent on washi tapes
Great washi ideas Amy! Now! Seriously. Who has time to clean their stamps?!! But that shammy! I would have been sure to shimmy for a shammy too! Need one of those! And this video reminded me that I need to get my hands on a washi pen! You are a crafty enabler Amy! Xx
+Katherine Roberts I have been called names before and one that I definitely don't mind is crafty enabler ;) The shammy is seriously amazing and you will love the washi pen as well!
I’m a little late watching this one. I hope you still get this. The glue on the cheaper manufactured Washi isn’t very good, therefore it gets old and doesn’t work like it should. It even becomes hard and won’t peel off the roll. And have you tried the Ranger Make Art Station? Wendi Vecchi invented it and it’s the best for working with Washi tape. It has grids to keep the tape straight, plus the tape peels easily off the metal surface. Thanks for your video. I really enjoyed it
Agree to use the washi tapes. They have a life span. I had to throw a couple of mine away too. But I do wonder if the branded ones like mt are more lasting.
+furrymomo1 I think the ones from MT are definitely the best. Pretty sure the ones I threw out are from manufacturers that aren't making them anymore. Using them is more fun than hoarding tapes anyway ;)
Do you ever have issues with the tape rolling up/peeling up from the edges of the paper? I find that if I don't wrap the tape around the edges of the paper, after a time, it starts to pull away (which makes me cry!). Btw, that Little One of yours is pretty amazingly wonderful!!
+SmittenKitten Yes - definitely happens on occasion after a while on some tapes. Although I don't mind it so much. Sometimes the wrapping of it peels off too. I think it just depends on the tape brand. Still love using it though - it's so fun.
Amy Tangerine I completely agree. It's not only fun, but PRETTY!! I find I have a very hard time using tapes that I love (because I don't want to use them up), but you're so right when you say we should use them. Thank you so much for responding!!
hi Amy,. great ideas. I'm new to washi. but I heard for the rolls that split, put in microwave for a few seconds..that way you don't have to chunk it!!? TFS
I have heard that too, but I feel weird about doing it. I don't miss the rolls I tossed anyway and it makes me want to buy the ones I love and USE them!
Someone once told me that if you do something twenty times it becomes a habit, ha i try this when I start a diet thinking if I can last 20 days then I'm all set, maybe if you clean your stamps 20 times in a row it will become a habit. xx
+TheTexmorg HAHAHA! I have heard that whole theory on it taking 21 days to make it a habit too. I tried the whole putting Thickers back in their packaging but I know I've done it more than 21 times yet sometimes I still am TOO LAZY! So silly, I know!
it pained me to see that you were going to toss those washis. things like that are great for some projects. i use stuff like that on ATCs. i love the tips here. thank you
I think that if you put your washi tape in the microwave for a few seconds, it is supposed to make it good again. I haven't tried it but I think I heard that somewhere!
+Cathy Vongnaraj It looks like it says "The United States of America Letter Craft," but I can't seem to find anything like it when searching Google. :(
I think someone said if you kinda heat up your washi tape with a heat gun just a bit it will soften the glue on it and make it usable again, hope this helps you
+Lana Todorovic That's a tough question!! I don't know if I could choose, I love them both so much. But if I HAD to, I would choose watercolor writing.
An idea not to throw out Washi Tapes that don't work/stick anymore cos had too long. Try sticking double sided adhesive to the back of the tape. This is what I do.
I am not sure about this advice but they said you can microwave it so u can still use it not sure haven't tried this yet cause I just started the washi tape collection...
I think the washi tape issues is due to age. I had some washi tape for a while and it was starting to dry up which is why it kept sticking to itself. :(
Nice designs! However, I noticed that you seem to be throwing away a lot of scraps and usable tape. Please try not to throw away quite as much if you can, even if that simply means asking around if anyone wants your old washi tape
Worth watching until the very end for that "Not now!" OMG so cute!
Awwwww - thanks for resparking this video and that cute little voice of his!
Such a delightful idea! I can see using washi tape in a whole new way! Love the way your hearts and Cali turned out!
I tried some of these amazing ideas 😁 I don't have much washi tape so I used regular patterned tape and it looked just as good. Thanks Amy!
Love it! And thanks for always reminding me to use my supplies instead of waiting for the perfect moment. I definitely hoard my supplies and never use them because I'm afraid to mess up. But I want to start using them so I can grow and learn to become a better creator :)

+Cathy Vongnaraj So smart - I have no room for just decorative pieces at the moment, but I love your idea!
If you warm up the glue on your Washi tape with a hairdryer, you might be able to resurrect it enough to get strips off. And you can also use it to hold down die cuts & things where you only need a little bit. That way you still get to enjoy the pretty tape 😁
your ideas are awesome and your son is one of the cutest kids I've ever seen. He should be a child model for someone's kids products.
Aww thanks!

Oh Amy, how much I love you!
😱 Everything you made was SO cute!!! 😍😍😍
You have beautiful handwriting; I wouldn't be confident enough to write on things myself :)
Thank you for the kind compliment. Honestly, my handwriting is just the result of practice. Anyone can have good handwriting!
Great washi ideas Amy! Now! Seriously. Who has time to clean their stamps?!! But that shammy! I would have been sure to shimmy for a shammy too! Need one of those! And this video reminded me that I need to get my hands on a washi pen! You are a crafty enabler Amy! Xx

+Amy Tangerine 😉 I've just had an email about the mt 2016 Spring pastel shade washis. Oooooohhhh & aaaahhhhhs all round!
Love this. Great way to use washi tape. I'm thinking about doing the same with rabbit silhouettes for Easter tags. Thanks for the inspiration!

Heard somewhere if you put washi tape into the microwave for a second or two, it helps the glue to be right again.
Thanks for the tip!
Hi my sweet! Im back. Two months of Holiday is so much for started madera Scrapbooking I ❤ Whashi tape
could you do a diy planner for every day use, using scrapbook stuff
I am totally remembering this! It's looks so cute

Do the Tim Holtz tiny attacher staples fit in the gold stapler? Super cute projects!
+2278TLC I had to check for you and yes, they are the same size! YAY!

wow... thats a ton of washi tapes and they are very cute and pretty. Can you tell me where you bought these washi tapes?
I've accumulated many of them over the years from different places. Cutetape.com is a great source, as is Etsy!
Make a video of stickers with washitape using different silhouettes
I heard if you put the washi tape in the micro wave for 1 to 2 seconds it helps the glue .
Wow thats a lot I only have 10 and they are from Michaels and the $1 store. They were a good deal 2 for $1 and glittery!!
So cute🤗! I know what I'm going soon! Washy tape😉
cool I used to live around there. love your videos btw.
Great video 👍🏽

it pained me to see that you were going to toss those washis. things like that are great for some projects. i use stuff like that on ATCs. i love the tips here. thank you
I'm making my own now! How can I show u when I'm done?
My aunty gave me alot of crafty stuff, but she has had yrs,Anyhoo I went t use double sided sticky tape,Unraveled the full roll as totally dried up 😂
Haha these things happen. Maybe it's time to update your craft supplies.
I think that if you put your washi tape in the microwave for a few seconds, it is supposed to make it good again. I haven't tried it but I think I heard that somewhere!
I haven't tried it but have heard that since uploading this video. Thank you!
A trick they say to zap it in the microwave in 3-5 second increments and keep testing it.
Oh and where did you get the wooden puzzle!!! Love that idea :)
+Cathy Vongnaraj Got it from an Instagram charity auction - I can get the name of the brand to you when I am at home!
+Cathy Vongnaraj It looks like it says "The United States of America Letter Craft," but I can't seem to find anything like it when searching Google. :(

cute ideas
OMG this is so cute💟😍😍
SHAWOL FOREVER KPOP FAN SPOTTED
What Haha shawol here 😂😂😂😂
Great ideas for using more if my washi stash! What was the name of the brush pen you used to write on the washi? Thanks Amy! xx
+Kaz Hobson Hi Kaz, got it in Japan, but this is very similar and available! Also I added it to the description box, thanks! goo.gl/jJL9bv
I think someone said if you kinda heat up your washi tape with a heat gun just a bit it will soften the glue on it and make it usable again, hope this helps you
I heard about that too from a crafter but I haven't really tried it ...But I think it works also if u put it on a microwave for a few sec...
+tiana kristensen Awesome - will have to give this a try! Thanks for sharing!
Amy Tangerine no problem :)
if you have to choose would you choose washi tape or watercoloring writing?
+Lana Todorovic That's a tough question!! I don't know if I could choose, I love them both so much. But if I HAD to, I would choose watercolor writing.
great video washi tape
New subscriber. Awesome video
I was told to put them in the microwave for a few seconds and it turns like new!
cute .. Xoxo from Ecuador 😀😀😀

An idea not to throw out Washi Tapes that don't work/stick anymore cos had too long. Try sticking double sided adhesive to the back of the tape. This is what I do.

+alexine nicole tapaya Interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Microwave your "old" washi for 10 seconds to refresh them xx
I have 3 washi tapes ........i think I have the most here....do you agree
Nah, I have two. But I got them yesterday😋.

Where do you buy your Washi Tape??
what is the name of the pen you used to write on washi? I do need one
+Terri Wallace Hi Terri- got it in Japan, but this is very similar and available! Also I added it to the description box, thanks! goo.gl/jJL9bv
Can you stamp over Washi tape with Versa ink.?
Not sure! I use StazOn for photos and a more permanent look though.
cool
subbed
Nooooo u can stick it in the freezer and it starts working
Wow so much washie tape I only have 5
could you please make a vidieo how to make washi tape without double sided tape
I think the washi tape issues is due to age. I had some washi tape for a while and it was starting to dry up which is why it kept sticking to itself. :(
TFS
I purchased washi tapes before I knew what I was going to do with those since they were so pretty...yikes. thanks for the ideas
So glad you’re enjoying the washi tapes! They’re so much fun, right?
Anyone else when they heard "Martha Stewert" go straight to gloom Kartha Gewert?! Just me?!?
Give those waste roles to me!
Nice designs! However, I noticed that you seem to be throwing away a lot of scraps and usable tape. Please try not to throw away quite as much if you can, even if that simply means asking around if anyone wants your old washi tape
