You can also use this paper tape to mark notches while sewing a garment or other fabric that you don’t want to show marks because this tape is easy to remove but most of all is easy to spot and match other marks that need matching
I have been journaling for a couple of years and i didn’t know ANY of these! Thank you for your generosity in sharing these ideas! Happy to subscribe, you’ve inspired me! 😀
Thank you for these great ideas. I bought some washi tape a long time ago because it was pretty but I didn’t know what to do with it! I do now, so thank you 😊
So many wonderful ideas! I love seeing all the different patterns of washi tape, bought some, but never really knew how to use it. Can't wait to try these!
I really loved this video bc the use of the washi tape was really unique and i didnt see these tips anywhere else. Thank you so much for making this video it helped me a lot and I will use at last half of the things u did there.😍
Thank you for all those tips. Love the ruffle idea. It would be a beautiful addition to artists that love fashion. There is a young girl on UA-cam. Meeko that I love to watch, that loves to draw and paint ladies in gouache and use washi tape on her outfits on these ladies instead of painting them. And they are gorgeous. I love this idea and I hope she's watching because she would love this ruffle idea to enhance these fashions. I love it. Brilliant idea. Like the rest too. Thanks for sharing. Susan 🙏👍👏👏❤❤❤
Thanks for the kind comment Susan. Washi can be so fun in various mixed media. I'll have to take a peek at Meeko's work. I'm always fascinated by various artists.
@@CraftySoupVideo Hi thanks for replying to my comment. I love what Meeko does with Washi tape and I know you'll love it too. Keep up the good work. God bless Susan xxx❤❤❤❤🥰🎨👍🌟🙏🙏🙏
I find them at the dollar store for 1.25. I use then in my letters. I do handwrite letters even in this day and age. Great tips! I use the tape and decoupage over it with mod podge also.
Just discovered this video (a year later!) and wanted to thank you for all the great ideas. I "collect" but hardly ever use my washi - you've shared great ideas, particularly the "photo corners" and #10, layering washi then cutting shapes from it, especially the flower. Genius!
This was such a good video for me! I never know what to do with washi tape and it usually comes out alright, but this is next level. I never thought to use them in a few ways that you did, so thank you for this!
This is superb awesome you have such great ideas amazing hats off really usefull. Even I was searching for such good ideas very useful. Keep going thankyou for this video...
New subbing here thanks to MossCottage sharing your channel. I will be using your flip journal cards and pockets in my next class on mass making. Thank you for an excellent tutorial.💜🐞
Welcome Suzy. The washi tape video has been a popular one! I do have a playlist of other idea stretcher videos if that is what you enjoy. ua-cam.com/play/PLSWDZxDOJYffsqQ6-xq666C8932wSib9q.html Otherwise my channel is a mix of scrapbook kits and layout shares. I hope you take a look around and find enough you like that you stick around!
Just found your channel. I was watching Scrappy Kathy's video for your subbie celebration. She mentioned that you are a great teacher, so I thought I would check out your channel. I love that V. Boo washi set. My fave ideas were using to create a photo mat, and the photo corners. One more use for ugly washi, is to place over brads on backside, so your page will slide in and out easier (tip from Janet at RTS).
Glad you found me through Scrappy Kathy. She makes some fabulous layouts for sure! I've definitely used ugly washi to cover up the backs of brads. Creative minds think alike -- and Janet is awesome at what she does! Thanks for stopping by!
Hey Sophia, if you add a little glue to the back of your washi tape you can use it on canvas. I know it is an extra step, but if you really want it on there, you can make it work!
What outstanding techniques. I was gifted some washi tape and, despite having seen it used in some older videos I'd watched, couldn't remember anything to do with it. These are so creative. I especially like making pockets, because despite having learned a variety of folds, I don't want to do all the work for pockets!
I’m just getting back into scrapbookking and came across your video. I love all these ideas for washi tape! Thank you for sharing! I’m curious to know where you got the clear journaling stamp? Thanks in advance!😊
That journaling stamp is ancient. The company doesn't even exist anymore. If you search for "journaling stamp" at your favorite shop you'll likely find something. Or here is one option: shrsl.com/47rl5 (note that this is an affiliate link. I earn a small percentage without it affecting your cost). Good luck and hope you enjoy getting back into the hobby. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the sub! I usually do scrapbook layout process videos, but these product idea videos are in there about once a month. I hope you find enough useful stuff here to stick around!
@@CraftySoupVideo I'm binging your videos. I was searching my stash for some outdoor embellishments. But then looking slowed down when I started to reorganize the ones I have.
That is a really old product that is no longer available. This one may be a good option: shopellesstudio.com/collections/stamps/products/noted-vol-2-stamp. You can also Google "journaling stamp" if you want to explore other options. Good luck.
The larger circle punches I believe I bought from the Stampin' Up company. But you can find various sizes of circle punches at larger craft stores or even Amazon. Just search for the size of circle you want, like 3/4 inch or 1 inch. I can't quite remember the sizes I used for this video but 1 inch and 1.5 inch are likely.
Journaling cards are often 3" by 4" or 4" by 6" sized decorative papers originally used by pocket-style scrapbookers to decorate their scrapbook pages. They have often been used to write on to include journaling stories to those scrapbooks, thus the name. But these cards have merged into other paper crafting realms. Hope that helps!
This is the first video I’ve seen with a recap at the end. As a teacher I learned the importance of a recap at the end of a lesson.
Good on you!
I started teaching crafty classes with kids, so I think that explains it! Thanks so much for watching!
