With "deals" like this I am sure your dealership loved right back. With you paying mark ups, extended warranties for oil changes and torque checks. Not to mention mystery Prep (all required prep is reimbursed by HD) and a wildly expensive freight charge. HD allows their dealerships to um, "charge", their customers whatever they can get away with. Oh well, a happy customer is all it takes regardless of how overcharged you were for your lifestyle brand.
The context of the terms you are using (expensive, overcharged, etc) are all extremely subjective. Value is different from person to person, and yes, I am a very happy customer and greatly enjoy the Harley Davidson brand.
Good, informative, honest video,Ty. You did have me scratching my head with the $1850 freight cost but then i saw on the HD website that the freight and HD surcharge totaled the $1850. However, I've heard over and over again that HD reimburses the dealer for the cost of the set up (maybe it's called PDI) but your dealer charged you a considerable amount for it. Sometimes I try and negotiate that fee down but sometimes I just go with the flow with it like you seemed to have.
Hey Craig! I've heard that too a few times in the comment section today. I trust my local dealership and the staff that runs it. If I ever felt over charged I would most certainly say something. Thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate your support for the channel!
And to think Honda charges $775 for shipping of a Wing including surcharge and it's coming from the other side of the globe. No dealer prep charge to put the windshield on it either. I'd be pissed if I had to pay a prep fee equivalent of 3 or more full maintenance visits. I'm sure there was an exhorbant documentation fee as well. I paid $49.
Ty, thank you for this honest post. I wish more people would be as honest. As for the purchasing of the bike (or anything for that matter) I believe if you can afford the deal and feel comfortable with it, then it is a good deal (and this would be true in your case). I just want to touch on a few things, I just purchased a 2022 RG ST and I bought it 3 months ago, so I knew it had been on the floor for a few months giving me some negotiation power. The freight was $750 and the Surcharge was $1000. They had a $200 prep fee and $200 cal emissions fee. So was able to negotiate and eliminate the prep fee (because like mention by others I assumed they were reimburse from HD) and the $1000 Surcharge. So with that I felt comfortable with the deal. Apparently the Surcharge is something they need to show, because on my final paperwork, they showed the fee but lowered the cost of the motorcycle. And like Craig mentioned, I'm not sure why your freight fee was so high. But either way, the difference in my purchase to yours was the bike itself. I'm sure that had I purchased the 120 anniversary bike like you, I would not have been able to negotiate anything, and I would have been happy to have paid it. Great video, just my 2 cents.
Ty, I just wanted to thank you for this. I had a similar dealership back home in Iowa, Loess Hills Harley-Davidson. I figured your deal was pretty decent with your trade in of the CVO. Awesome video, highlighting a good dealership. Just passed through after our vacation out in Clarksville and stopped out Thunderhead HD( as of Friday I think) out near pigeon forge. I almost came home with a ST.
Hi Jason. Yeah all the ST models are great man and I love my Low Rider ST. It's not going anywhere and by far my favorite H-D. Take care and thank you for watching!
Ty thanks for your honesty from day one I found your channel just heard you talk and knew your a honest man thanks for taking your time to break down your price of your bike and yes there are alot of good dealership can't wait to be able to come down there and check out that dealer hope you have amazing day and thanks for always keeping it 100..
Hi Jeff. Much appreciated sir. I will always be honest with my audience. I believe that is just the right thing to do. Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!
Hi! TY; The only thing you may have not know that Harley-Davidson reimbursed all the dealerships on their prep fee. So they billed you f9r something they are reimbursed on. Cin-Cin and Salute. Have a bless day....
I traded in a 2022 Triglide ultra for the 2023 Anniversary Triglide Ultra. I'm sure the cost to me was over $50, 000 including a 5 year extended warranty. Now with that, when i park my bike "no one" passes by with out complements on my bike. An old times at VA Hospital told me it was the most beautiful bike he ever saw. Warms my heart and i call it return on unvestment. Exactly as i felt, most beautiful bike ever. Chuck
Dealer Prep - $1199 is huge, down here in Florida it is substantially less. Right around $599 - $699… Tire and Wheel Package is in line with here in Florida… Maintenance Plans… $1299 eh okay, what sort of savings versus walk-in prices? Most dealers are tacking on $5000 + for the 120th, heck my local dealer wouldn’t even come off of MSRP for a Road Glide ST, went to the Fort Myers Dealer and he was $2600 less, ended up buying my first American Bagger/Cruiser an Indian Challenger Dark Horse 2023, the power and torque and features were much better than even the 117 motor of the Harley. I might have bought the Harley if it wasn’t for that goofy Snorkel hanging off of the motor, that impeded my shins when trying to use the brake. Nice bike the 120th, never saw one in the Metal yet… Enjoy the bike, congrats.🎉
Your dealer sounds like mine Ty. This Heritage is my third from them in 4 years, and I trust them. I also bought the maintenance (VIP) program. Be well and be safe.
Personally, i wouldn't trade my 1998 95th anniversary Road Glide for it or the top of the line CVO bike. Cudos to you and I pray that you can get lots of good use out of it. My bike has been autographed by Willie G and has 150,000 miles on it. It has no computer garbage on it and I can fix anything on it myself. It gets 55 miles to the gallon and will run as good or better than anything new.
Hey there Ty! Thanks for sharing all the specifics on the purchase of your motorcycle. I’ll finally be able to get my bike at the ones of this month. I’ve settled on a Low Rider ST in White Sand Pearl. Like you, I don’t mind paying the freight and set up. The surcharge is what bugs me. But luckily my dealer is an MSRP shop. I’m definitely getting that maintenance plan.
Great looking bike, but personally i would never buy the CVO, Limited Edition, numbered or Icon models. If you end up having a simple fender bender and any type of accident where the paint is damaged, these are limited run colour schemes and when the painted parts are gone they are gone That means you will have to repaint to match or hope to gawd that your insurance company will repair it with a guy who can air brush but in most circumstances they will just repaint and your bike will be reduced in value significantly
For sure that would be a challenge. I'm hoping to work with a few vendors that might have Heirloom Red soon. Looking forward to that and thank you for watching!
Nice of you to do this but I don’t think you owe anyone a explanation for what you paid that is definitely your business and no one else’s but nice of you to share. Love the bike its beautiful and enjoy.
Thanks Anthony. I agree with you. Not really anyone's business, but so many have asked I thought it would be helpful for others. Thank you very much for watching!
I like videos like this because I had no idea what to expect when I went with my friend when he bought his bike. It's eye opening to pay almost 4k in fuel and labor, I thought that would have been rolled into the sticker
Excellent!! A little different than we do here, some of that is thrown in for us here in Canada, except for the rim and tire we have to pay if we want it! I trust our dealership been dealing with them for over 15 years now and bought many Harleys without any issues!! Good stuff here Ty
That's fantastic. It's always good to hear when someone works with a dealership that they trust. Thank you very much for watching and have a great day!
The tire & wheel package is worth its weight in gold, you only need to pickup 2 nails and you have covered the cost of your 5 year protection, I did that in 3 months, so so glad I got that coverage.
I think the exact same thing. I have it on my Low Rider ST and I have already had to use it. Worth every penny! Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!
In the UK it's done differently, the price on the bike is inclusive of taxes, dealer charges ect. But after adding accessories onto my Indian Chieftain, I haggled on the price and got mine cheaper/ good price.
Great video. I can tell you that my local dealer marks up way over MSRP for the special and limited edition. Last years CVO was 10K over MSRP. I believe you.
🛑🛑 The bike cost is what you think it is worth, regardless what others may think. 💯 I appreciate your honesty, and bringing this video to the public. Great looking bike. I’m sure when you pull into your local bike night, folks will be “jaw dropping” to how nice it really is. Enjoy yourself, and the Ride….after all isn’t that what Life is All About. 😀💯👍
I was born in Lynchburg, Va and I left there when I was less than a year old. I've never been back There. Hopefully one day I'll visit Lynchburg, Va. I recently put a deposit on a Harley Davidson 120th Anniversary Road Glide Special in Las Vegas, Nv.
@@mixedraceable Now you're speaking my language. Two things I love...motorcycles and LAS VEGAS! Love Vegas and I go every single chance I get. Congratulations!!!
@@TyFromTennessee Thanks Ty I appreciate 🙏it very much!!! I've been in Las Vegas, Nv. for 15 years now. I'm from Oahu 🏝 I took the Las Vegas Harley Davidson Riding Academy 🏍 msf course last year which I passed. I should be getting my 120 th anniversary road glide sometime in August or September. There are only a few left out of the1600 RG 120th an. ever to be made in production w🌎rldwide. In the mean ⏲️ time enjoy your bike 🏍
Great info. My dealer also does MSP and none of that freight and set up cost. The posted price on the website is what you get. Makes buying that bike so much easier.
Great Video Ty, that’s what I’m running into with 4 different dealerships here in Houston area, NOT being fair and honest, it’s scarring me away from actually buying a brand new one, (trading my RK in) they’re trying to charge me 4-7K over MSRP plus PDI, which I get & understand it cost to get the bike ready for customers, BUT, I’m in retail myself and the toys I sell can be much more expensive than these bikes but have never ever could I ask MSRP for them therefore it’s unbelievably hard for me to pay over MSRP let alone MSRP. It goes against every thing I believe in. UGH! But, thanks for sharing your thoughts and cost, Congratulations on that new bike BTW, beautiful!
Thank you very much! Yeah, I wish more dealerships were a open and honest with their customers on these type of things. Thank you very much for watching and good luck with your motorcycle shopping!!
I've owned a lot of bikes over the years but I bought only 2 at Harley dealerships. My experience was VASTLY different at each dealer. In 206 I bought a Harley at Hannum's HD in Media Pa. That was a class A experience. No issues. In 2018 I bought a Harley at Maverick HD in Carrollton TX. That experience was HORRENDOUS! High pressure and they threw in a lot of extras WITHOUT ASKING and they refused to take them off. These extras were not parts, they were extra warranties, fees, and services. I think they were trying to wear me down because they kept me there for several hours. I had to literally walk out before someone ran out to the parking lot to get me, promising to take the extras off.
Yup, it's nobody's business what you paid. It's your hard-earned money and 2...we as a society are very nosy people and we want to know. I'm glad you put out this info because I too am one of the nosy lol. great video TY
Hahahha. I totally understand. More than anything I’m hoping people will use this as an opportunity to do business with good dealerships. Thank you very much for your time!
That's a really good idea. I keep all my documentation and paperwork so that I can pass it off to the next guy. Thank you for watching sir and I hope you have a great day!
You’re the type of buyer the dealer loves. Hook line and sinker the whole way. All the extra programs and fees is what they make the most $ on. Warranty and maintenance programs are never worth the cost and most never end up using them. Setup fees are way over inflated. It literally takes the dealer less then a couple hours to setup the bike. Everything is negotiable at the dealer and if it isn’t go somewhere else.
The dealer prep fee is reimbursed by the factory. That fee is totally dealer mark up for the dealership. They are paying a mechanic to be there anyway, he doesn't cost them $1,199 a day. There is very little to do to prep the bike.
Hey Amber. I'm going to be creating a follow-up video with my dealership on some of this information that way everything can be explained in full detail. Probably will be a few weeks before I get everything coordinated..but soon! Thank you for watching!
@@TyFromTennessee I'll be interested to see if they tell the truth (I doubt it). Many dealerships are now adding "Dealership Fee". It's ridiculous and is nothing except straight money to them. The more people keep paying these add on sucker fee's the more they will continue. Most of these dealerships are now owned by mega car dealerships. They do the same thing. There are no starving mega dealers. Personally, you saying you're alright with the fees makes you appear to be a victim and worse.
@@amberbali8881 I have no reason to doubt my local dealership. I have purchased many motorcycles from them and they have always been fair and honest with me. It sounds like your mind is made up even before any arguments or evidence is presented. That makes you sound biased and bitter…or worse.
@@TyFromTennessee I know how the game is played. Not new to the Harley deal. Have been here since 1980, have worked in a dealership in the past and have seen many good, family dealerships be forced out of business by the current Globalist, sneaker salesman that is running the show. Biased, you bet. Bitter, yep, can't stand the way the Motor Company and the vast majority of dealerships (not all) won't stand behind or admit to some of the issues with the product. "Or worse.." Care to elaborate? Personally, you sounded like a sycophant in your video, sucking up to your dealership and corporate.
Hey Matt. Good point. It would be nice to know what other dealerships charge for shipping. I have zero mechanical skills so I need all the maintenance help I can get. Thank you very much for watching!
I have the same bike and paid 42,500. for mine out the door. 6k of it in upgrades. I bought mine In the northeast, and like it or not things are more expensive here. I didn't buy it as an "investment" I bought it to ride the rubber off it, and NEVER plan to sell it. So the pleasure I get from riding this beautiful machine will be more than I ever got from all the beers and broads I've ever known from my youth. 😉Soo did I pay too much? Maybe, maybe not.
Congratulations my friend and I hope you love the bike! I know I sure do! If you are comfortable with the cost that is all that really matters. To me, this bike is worth every penny. Thank you so much for watching!
Such a good video, thank you for posting! That’s an insanely cheap service plan. In MD, close to DC it is about $2800, unlimited miles BUT also for only up to 3 years.
I thought service plan is reasonable but would prefer no time expiration as everyone’s riding time can vary in different climate states and not to mention any medical situations that prevent you from riding. , such as my work injury , surgery and recovery time . I would definitely buy that service plan price for 5 yrs. Though . Thanks for sharing Ty
The freight and prep charges are BS if your buying from dealership then those shouldn't be a thing unless you ordered it from Harley and they had to deliver it.
Ty thank you for the transparency. I said no to all warranty add ONS. I do my own service on my bikes. Has not been back to the dealership since I got it in November of 21. At 16 k now no issues with my bike. I have 21 road glide limited. It cost me 32 k. I see now they want 36 for the same bike. 😮
Hey Harry! I really need to learn how to do the services on my bikes. There's lots of great how-to information out there. Thank you very much for watching!
I love the white lightning dealership in Chattanooga very good people to deal with also they were 1000 cheaper then anyone around me in Knoxville and not even that they also deliver the bike to my house and I will do more business with them in the near future
That's fantastic to read Vinny. White Lightning has always been good to me and I plan to continue business with them for a long time. I appreciate your time today!
Great video. Sorry you got some hate but I paid basically the same as you and I absolutely love my Harley! It’s my 4th one if I wouldn’t pay less for the BMW I wouldn’t own one. I’m an American an I ride American 🇺🇸 love your content Brother good stuff. I watch all your content. Keep these great videos coming I know it’s a lot of work.
Thank you so very much for the kind words. Oh yes, on this video I took a beatin' for sure. hahaha. It's all good and comes with the territory, I guess. Glad to read you love your new ride. This Road Glide is fantastic and I'm so glad I bought one. Take care and thank you so very much for watching!
Your channel is awesome! Life is too short, ya can’t take money or your Harley with ya,, so enjoying every day is crucial, looks like you are doing a great job… There are definitely a few “Sketchy” Harley dealers here in the Ma/Southern NH area,,, but there are a couple fair ones too,, everyone has to make their own deal, and be happy,,, Monadnock Harley AAA+ for sure ☘️
Hey Joe! I appreciate that compliment very much! Trying to do my best and keeping it real. I'm lucky, my local dealership is fantastic. Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!
You do have a point all dealers are not the same. some of them will try to break it off in you. friend of mine she was looking into that new Road Glide 3-wheeler. I think the MSRP on it was 32 and she is our secretary for the whole chapter do the whole lot for the dealer .they come out at 43 right off the bat needless to say she was a little upset thanks for sharing it with us great video keep the rubber side down
Thank you sir! It's too bad to hear stories like that. Many dealerships seem to be that way. Keep your business with a good one when you find it. Thank you for watching!
I won’t cover all cost involved but there’s a 5 grand markup for the anniversary RG at the dealership i use and no I don’t own one I recently bought a 2023 LRST in White Sand Pearl with no markup over MSRP
Awesome man and congratulations on your Low Rider ST. I have one in vivid black and I love that bike! Taking it out this weekend for a full day of riding! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing this information, I appreciate it. I'm always curious to know what people actually paid. It's tough to find fair prices here in CA. And before anyone says "Laidlaw's", they are over 500 miles away from me and their prices were the same as other dealers near me. They claim no markup but I've got quotes from them and they incorporate all the same fees and just call it something else, at least in my experience. I do like their UA-cam content though.
Hey there! Yeah, Laidlaw's does some really cool stuff on their channel. I enjoy watching it. Thank you very much for watching and ride safe out there! Watching you guys do lane splitting gives me great anxiety! :)
Okay, we have been friends for a long time. I have two points from this video. First, when people say you didn't get the bike for MSRP, they are correct. Every dealer puts all of those extra charges on the bike. I have never heard of WalMart prepping an orange or a banana to sell it. The freight is the cost of doing business for the dealer. I am not saying it is not worth it to some people; I am just saying it is a way to mark up the bike. I do like the tire packages, makes sense. I have never bought the service package; I like doing my own services. The main thing about the video is what you stated in the beginning. It is NO ONES DAMN BUSINESS WHAY YOU PAID! I would let everyone think you paid $100,000.00. Ride Safe
Thanks HDR for your feedback. I appreciate it very much! I don't mind disclosing how much I paid if it helps someone else hunt down a deal that is good for them. It certainly makes for interesting discussion in the comments section. Take care sir and thank you for checking out the video!
Hey Ray. You ask a great question. I trust my dealership and I'm confident they wouldn't do anything to intentionally overcharge me and others. Thank you very much for watching and I hope you have a great day!
A dealer in my neck of the woods is not an MSRP dealer. I had to get out of there because they were shoving a bike down my throat that I wasn’t interested in. He even said “you leave and I’ll make sure you never get this deal again. Texted me the next day saying he had good news for me and would offer me the deal again. No thanks. Did way better elsewhere
That sounds like a terrible place to do business with. Glad you were able to move on to some place better. Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!
So you never tell us what you paid for the bike out the door. Total of the bike, dealer fees, taxes, and insurance. Im guessing somewhere around 40 grand out the door?
Hey Jon. I really appreciate your time watching the video. It shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out close to the OTD price with the information I provided. Have a great day sir.
What about Doc fees? In the mid-atlantic, they always add big fees for dealing with the licensing issues with the state motor vehicles offices. For the hassles and long wait over the last couple years, I think I would have been better off just doing it myself.
I didn't see any type of doc fees listed on my paperwork. Maybe it's included in something else. The only fees (other than taxes) are the ones that I mentioned in the video. I hope it was helpful and thank you for watching!
@@TyFromTennessee Wow it's time to move to TN. Maybe the registration process is easier so they don't need to charge a "doc" fee. Maryland and Delaware dealers typically add them.
When I bought my 2020 TG in 2019 I bought the 5 year 20K mile ESP but after 2 years I had already put 20K on the TG, so the remaining 3 years were shot. I think next time I will try to negotiate 5 years unlimited mileage or 3 years unlimited mileage.
Thanks for sharing this, but to figure out the cost of ownership, we need one more number, namely the trade-in value. That's the only way to know how much it costs to own a new bike for a couple of years.
Hey there. If you're talking about the trade-in value of the CVO I think I am going to keep that private, but I will tell you this. My local dealership really did treat me right. I got an excellent trade in value on that motorcycle. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your time.
@@TyFromTennessee Having a dealership that gives you a good sales price and a good trade-in price will make a big difference in the overall cost of ownership
Look. Here's the deal. If you want a new motorcycle, you're going to pay for it. Some feel good when they "get a good deal" and others don't care. To each, do you. Just stop trying to tell me to be like you. Good for you, Ty, you did what you had to do and you're satisfied. That's all that matters.
@@TyFromTennessee I paid a LOT for a 23 Road Glide ST and I'm NOT quibbling over anything monetarily. Life is too short to fuss about things that aren't important. Of course others will disagree with me. BUT... can't disagree on how GREAT the RG is!!
Ty I just want to put this out there If you get tired of buying motorcycles. You can buy me one. I would hate for your dealership to suffer any loss. 😂 I'm there for you.😊
These are the reasons I'll likely never buy a "new" bike again.... In addition to the already astronomically high cost of a new HD, the tacking on of $4-5k in additional charges is too much to stomach. Then there's the necessary upgrades(the Harley tax), the wanted upgrades and customizing....
@@TyFromTennessee I ordered the 120th anniversary Street Glide Special. Here in Germany the bike costs 37695 € plus 887.25 € freight, both including taxes for a total of 38582.25 €, that is currently 42356.75 $. The price is in my opinion somewhat outrageous, but includes taxes of 6160.19 € (6762.84 $). The surcharge for the anniversary model is here in Germany 6000 € (6586.98 $) as compared to 3000 $ in the US. Well, you only live once, right?
Ty , thanks for sharing and shouldn’t freight vary from state to state as well depending on distance from HD factory ? I’m only 100 miles from Milwaukee and would think it would be much less . It would be nice if can avoid the freight and pick up directly from factory , or might have to check out Milwaukee dealerships and see . Thanks for your transparency and enjoy that beautiful bike .
I was gonna buy one at cincity hd in Cincinnati they quoted me $36k for the bike but told me I would need to finance $43k afer fees and that's not with any extra warranty or anything I told them no thanks
You can almost figure out the final price by calculating the figures I provided. Some information I have purposely kept private. I'm sure you can understand that. Thank you for watching!
I always think the prep is another money grab for the dealership. If you buy a vehicle it should come 100% ready to operate not for you to spend an additional $ to get it put together to operate it. Just doesn’t make any sense.
MSRP is rarely followed for highly appreciated HD machine, at least in UA-cam HD dealer is a target for abusing marketing gimmicks. If HD out of business due to greedy dealer’s contributions, those loyal owners will be happy for those limited numbered bike? Like CEO of HD said he is making his company Ferrari of bike, I think only when HD stopped make motorcycles this will be true.
Hi there! I'm really lucky that my local dealership is very friendly and honest. I know H-D can be expensive, but I am a huge fan of the brand. Thank you very much for watching!
It’s an ‘interesting’ topic. I paid $30k out the door for my Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE. When I tell guys this I get so much hate. It’s either not worth the money or it’s too much for a motorcycle or I could have gotten something better or any one of a hundred other criticisms. Most of the time I reply with ‘I can afford it and another three of these so thanks for your opinion but none of that really matters to me’. Guys usually don’t respond well to that which really reveals what their true issue is…the fact that THEY can’t afford it. Tell them to kick rocks Tye. Interesting vid though !
Thanks Ben and I love the Ninja! Great motorcycle! Since I have started YT I have found out that somebody is always going to be complaining and criticizing you. For the most part, I can take it. I like your response to your haters. Keep up the good work and thank you very much for watching!
I believe you got everything in your cost except two things and one’s an option on the bike. You didn’t mention anything about the RDRS so I don’t know if you have that and that’s $1100 and you also left off I believe the surcharge, which is $1000 other than that gold.
Hey Bruce. Yes my bike came with the RDRS and I didn't have to pay a $1000 surcharge. I hope that answers your questions. Thank you and have a great day!
WOW, I guarantee you would pay a lot more than that at the dealerships in this part of our state. Not to mention the crappy attitude and bad service, from all the locals that I know that have bought from them. If I ever change my mind and buy another HD, I will definitely be coming to Chattanooga area to make my purchase. Who cares what you spent on your bike anyway, it is YOUR money that you are spending, not theirs, yes? It is a beautiful bike, Ty.
Haters gonna hate. You do what's best for you and leave them be. Thanks for being honest about it!
Yup and I've been getting A LOT of it lately. Oh well, no such thing as bad press. Thanks John! Oh and "thanks for your feedback" :)

With "deals" like this I am sure your dealership loved right back. With you paying mark ups, extended warranties for oil changes and torque checks.

Hi! TY; The only thing you may have not know that Harley-Davidson reimbursed all the dealerships on their prep fee. So they billed you f9r something they are reimbursed on. Cin-Cin and Salute. Have a bless day....
Hi Robert and I appreciate the information. Ride safe and have a great day!
Chuck
That is awesome. I really do love this bike. It’s beautiful and so many people stop and take that second look. Thank you so very much for watching!!
I'm glad there are folk that can afford and enjoy these high end bike prices Never happen for me but I'm enjoying the channel
Thank you very much for watching. I appreciate your time and hope you are having a great weekend!
Thank you sir and congratulations on your Challenger. Those are great motorcycles. I appreciate your time and thank you very much for watching!
Your dealer sounds like mine Ty. This Heritage is my third from them in 4 years, and I trust them. I also bought the maintenance (VIP) program. Be well and be safe.
Thanks Bob! Appreciate your time sir. Have a great day!
That's awesome man. Glad you are happy with your bike and a Willie G autograph....that's just awesome. Thank you for watching!
@@TyFromTennessee just got my Willie G memoir book today too! IM STOKED

I can’t believe you even made this video for the reasons you mentioned. There are a few good dealerships still doing business. Thanks for the video.
Happy to help Rodney. My local dealership is fantastic and I look forward to more business with them soon. Thank you for watching!
Congratulations man! My LRST is my favorite motorcycle. What a great bike and thank you for watching!
Great looking bike, but personally i would never buy the CVO, Limited Edition, numbered or Icon models. If you end up having a simple fender bender and any type of accident where the paint is damaged, these are limited run colour schemes and when the painted parts are gone they are gone
That means you will have to repaint to match or hope to gawd that your insurance company will repair it with a guy who can air brush but in most circumstances they will just repaint and your bike will be reduced in value significantly
Thanks Chad. I appreciate your feedback very much. It's always good to do business with a dealership that you trust. Thank you for watching!
Hey Paul. That's good information to know. Thank you for that. Congratulations on your Indian Chieftain. It's a great motorcycle.
Great video. I can tell you that my local dealer marks up way over MSRP for the special and limited edition. Last years CVO was 10K over MSRP. I believe you.
Harley Davidson of Lake Charles La sells all units at Msrp, then include surcharge and freight doc fees etc. then the rest is on the customer.
Sounds like a good dealership to deal with. Thank you very much for watching!

Hey James. I cannot stand high pressure sales and I won't have anything to do with it. Take care and thank you very much for watching!
Thanks for sharing the information, I've bought a couple oh new Harley's and that's the first I heard that you could purchase a maintenance plan.
I sure hope this video was helpful to you Kerry! I appreciate your time today.
I was surprised when I bought my 98 electraglide that it came with all the documents of everything that had been done to it. And that was 3 years ago.
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ve been in White Lightning ⚡️ Harley Davidson and saw your picture on the wall.
I know you own that dealership. 😁👍
hahaha! That would seriously crack me up if they did that. Let's see...who can I talk to over there about that.....
The shipping fee sounds very high! The Maintenance seems like a good deal though!
Hey Matt.

That’s an insanely cheap service plan. In MD, close to DC it is about $2800, unlimited miles BUT also for only up to 3 years.
That's what I've been hearing in the comments. Good to know. Thank you very much for watching!
Thank you very much for watching. I appreciate your time and hope you are having a great day.

Thanks Toby! Yeah man, if you're in this area stop by. It's a terrific group of people over there!
Does everyone like the HD Dealers way of ADM? It seems they add a little here and there vs just posting the $5,000 markup?
Hey Ray. You ask a great question. I trust my dealership and I'm confident they wouldn't do anything to intentionally overcharge me and others. Thank you very much for watching and I hope you have a great day!
@@TyFromTennessee With HD's, it's not really overcharging, it seems just the way it is.

Thanks for sharing this, but to figure out the cost of ownership, we need one more number, namely the trade-in value. That's the only way to know how much it costs to own a new bike for a couple of years.

These are the reasons I'll likely never buy a "new" bike again.... In addition to the already astronomically high cost of a new HD, the tacking on of $4-5k in additional charges is too much to stomach. Then there's the necessary upgrades(the Harley tax), the wanted upgrades and customizing....

I understand that Garry. That's a big pile of money. Thank you very much for watching!
Thanks Ty. Was the wife mowing the yard?😎
hahahah! I know what you mean and you're the first one to notice. Someone is always mowing their yard in our neighborhood! Thanks Brett...
I think the negative folks are just jealous.Sweet bike, congrats.
I appreciate the encouragement. Thank you and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Hey Ty, did you keep the CVO or did you trade it on the new 120th Anniversary Road Glide?
Yeah, I traded the CVO and I'm hoping to ride with the guy who bought it in the next several weeks. He loves the bike and will take great care of it!
Had some bad experiences there . But maybe just bad days for some there. But always buy my parts there.
That's cool man. I know customer experience can be a tricky thing. Take care and ride safe!!
All that matters is your happy
Thank you sir. I believe the same thing. Have a great day!
You never said the final price for out the door price.
I appreciate your feedback. Thank you for watching!!
@@TyFromTennessee damn, you do have a great Harley Davidson dealer to deal with. The ones around me will screw you in a heartbeat.
Fairly accurate to my experience. Except it was the road glide special.
Thanks Davis. Just trying to keep things honest with my audience. I appreciate your time today!
@Ty From Tennessee it's cool man.
Thank you sir. I am certain that White Lightning would treat you well. Thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate your support for the channel!
That's a cool looking hat rack leaning against the wall.
hahahaha. You mean the punching bag or the LED sign?
@@TyFromTennessee No, the H-D exhaust at 2:30 :)
@@Jonathan-L oh yeah! That’s my old exhaust for the Low Rider ST. It’s for sale!! Hahahha.
Your dealer absolutely loves you, too. I can promise you that 😂
hahaha! No doubt there. Great group over there at White Lightning Harley Davidson. Thank you for watching!
