कैलाशवदिवू सिवन तामिळनाडू मधील कन्या कुमारी जिल्ह्यातील सराक्कलविलाई गावातल्या एका सामान्य शेतकरी कुटुंबात जन्माला आले. आज जरी ते इस्रोचं अध्यक्षपद सांभाळत असले तरी एकेकाळी त्यांना पायात घालण्यासाठी चपलाही मिळत नव्हत्या. अशा परिस्थितीवर मात करून ते आज या यशाच्या शिखरावर पोहचले आहेत.
Kailashavadivu Sivan was born in a simple farming family in the village of Sarakkalvilai in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. Even though today he holds the post of Chairman of ISRO, at one time he could not even afford shoes to wear on his feet.
