It seems it is recorded with a cello instead of some kind of tenor viola. Would be interesting to hear how it sounds in the original instrumentation!
The sheet music says Viola-Tenore for the cello part? Good grief!
The instrument the lowest part is for is not actually cello. It's a G-D-A-E instrument an octave lower than a violin.
