Thank you for the comments, It’s very strange that plate. Mainly because it hasn’t been specced with a Sat Nav. Maybe it’s a stash area 😂 Might have to get a torch in there and have a good look.
Hey, great video, I will be doing mostly all that same work soon on my 2006 R53. for the decals on the rear bumper, you can use "3M adhesive remover". I've got a container here, been using it on stickers and decals for more than 5 years and it removes everything and anything with no damage to the paint. I just brush it on, give it a few minutes then use a plastic scraper and scrape the decal off. I follow that with a wash of warm soapy water to get rid of any remaining adhesive remover solution.
@@jayjay6117 Thanks for tip, these decals are a bit weird, they have a sort of metal layer incorporated into them, which I think is what’s made it so difficult to get them off, that and they are flaking off with age. I’ll definitely bear that in mind for the future though, as that was absolutely mind destroying.
@@snakenev The R56 ones doesn’t have the additional holes for the underbody brace that the 52 has. You maybe able to look at the R57 but not sure if that uses underbody bracing as it’s been a while since I’ve worked on one. But in answer to your first question - No. The rear trailing arms will fit, so you can use them on the existing subframe if it’s in decent condition.
@@Qwerty514811 thought about it, but imagine it would melt the bumper 😂 I eventually managed to get them off, which I’ve updated in the next video in the series. Actually worked quite well all things considered.
Mini R52 content. Yes please 🙏
@@jameshalls That is next, however it’s a mixture of emotions that one. But definitely stay tuned. I’m just trying to find a bit more out about it 👀

Do you know if you can use the R56 rear subframe in an R52?
