- Episode 8 covers our Plateau - this land is at a slightly higher level, and overlooks the Frangipani pond, the Sunken Garden and the Wifi Garden! We plant some of our seasonal crops along with perennials like cotton (kapaas) and pigeon pea (arhar) here.
#WhatsGrowing is a mini-series where we take you on a virtual tour around Aanandaa. We show you what is growing, how it is growing and what we are harvesting.
The benefit of this series is that all of you can see what is growing at Aanandaa during one specific month. The more videos we make, the more detailed our documentation will be!
If you like this video and want to see more content like this, please do drop a comment letting us know so we can plan out some more videos for everyone!
Thanks for stopping by, stay safe xx

Hello Mam, you're doing great work. I was wondering if you use any power tools in the farm ? And since yours is a no till farm how to you sow seeds for new crops?
I am struggling with these questions for quite sometime, during monsoon big weeds have grown in my farm i don't know how to deal with them without tilling
Thenew cotton plants looks like cannabis

Hello Mam, Learning a lot from your videos. could you share your Jeevamrut sechdule pl ?
Kyuki english me bahut kam log samajh pate hai par hindi jyada log aapki video ko samajh payenge aur parmaculture kar payenge.
Amazing 👏 👏 👏 👏 👌 👍
Shasemy plant is easiest to grow its just spread and water thats all , after that is marigold is easiest 👍
Ma'am one input..
In Ragi.. finger millet .
What you are made is 'neduragi' which means 'transplanted ragi'. Even u can do direct seeding also.. OK now comes my input..
Which ever method you use, when you see first seed bulb cow graze whole plot make sure that they just take one bit and move to next. only levels should be eaten.. which means drag them while eating then they will just eat top leaves.. from this you can see the raise in yield of crop. In my villege we do like this (in Karnataka)
Regards
Vinay
Thanks Vinay

Please try to plant some perennial plants like malabar spinach, suran, pineapple, spiny gourd, brinjals, etc. Also try to make a small patch / peripheral rows where you can grow herbal medicinal plants like giloy, ashwagandha, satavar, stevia
Some of your suggestions don't grow in our area. We try to grow what we eat and use.

Thanks for following our journey
Hi, I'm curious, is breadfruit ( Artocarpus altilis) grown in your region?

Happy Teacher's Day You too mam❤❤

So kind of you!

I too have 10 acres of land but its build in a 11 square shaped plot for rice field to grow.
Do this plain black soil land can be converted into a permaculture land without having any mountaineous slopes or plateaus...?
Of course
Happy teachers day...
Monkey was a doubt that got sorted in this video. Good that you have the dogs.
2nd question... the poplars on the far end from where you were standing face West. They must be creating quite a shadow 3 pm onwards. Does this really affect production?? Or is it a myth that needs debunking??
Also, would you please tell us how you have managed snakes so far?? Are dogs any good with them??
Thr winbreaks don't pose a problem.
For snakes we have left enough of a wild life zone for them. They stay in their areas and we havs minimal conflict.
How do you handle issue of snakes ?
Give them their own space
Wow. I keep waiting for new episodes to learn about new plants. And everytime I am rewarded with loads of information . Thanks and a happy teachers day to you.
Glad you enjoy our videos, don't forget to turn on the bell notiifcations so you never miss another one!
Beautiful sounds in the background 😊
nature at its best!
Background sound 😍
Just another day at Aanandaa!!
@@farmaanandaa please make a seperate video on neemastra and jeevamrit.
Hi
Great!!!
Can you also please cover the farm animals cows, chicken and tips & tricks around that in a video?
can you be a little more specific? What exactly would you like to see?
@@farmaanandaa Are the chickens(coup) moved around the farm to keep insects in check? As Aanandaa is 10 acres. How many birds are there? Also for cows is there any artificial insemination done as I saw calves in one of the videos? How many cows are enough for using cow urine for the entire farm? Also how is the cow urine based spray created.
Two varieties are kapas and narma hence the leafs r different
Which one is which? We planted the seed of the older crop itself!
Nice to see Aananda Plato, Happy Teachers Day to u
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow so wonderful.
thanks, do share
