I joined Splinterlands after untamed and just when chaos legion came out. Believe and love the project I might be well down on all my investments but it’s a good thing. In town hall they keep saying it’s a game and that’s what it should be and they are working on improving the game and getting rid of the leaches. Proper players will stay and support it and that’s why I think it will survive and maybe flourish one day. The community is brilliant tbh 👍👍
@@snowballs240 Some of the artwork is awesome and I’m excited for the new set of cards. Don’t agree with all the changes made but it’s looking exciting for the future tbh 👍👍 It amazes me that people buy skins in games and never will get a return on anything so it begs the question why loads of people complain about Splinterlands 🤷♂️
I’m definitely one of the “I’ll try it while I have extra vouchers”, but even with some more SPS per win, it looks like I’ll gain less than $.80 per season, so I’m not likely to stay long. It’s also sad that the team gave up on maintaining value of old cards. After my losses on old cards, I have no motivation to start a new losing investment in new modern cards.

@@AvoxNilhi I disagree that was one of several issues in this game, opposite to that, I think the combination mechanic and the use of levels of monsters accordingly with your leveled summoners was a differentiating mechanic that kept it different away from other TCG, the big issue has been relying upon the overexagerated print rates for some cards, e.g. chaos legion set and chaos legion reward cards, and the fast way that developers gave new abilities and sinergies was too much, they had to wait more time to add new skills or not adding too many of these with each new set. Getting rid of the bot farms was a long and tedious process. I am getting more SPS per win too in Wild. I am still of the opinion that the battle permit should become a battle pass where we are getting more goodies than the right to play in wild so that we could convert more players into purchasers of the pass. The added bonuses could be seen as a positive whereas the only right to play in Wild can be seen as a negative by many. I still believe that a portion of the battle pass cost should be revenues to Splinterlands as money is needed to run servers, staffs, game improvements.
Just showing up to support you bro. How long has it been since we were able to play as many games as we wanted? The old ECR days...they finally solved the problem, Just chase everyone off with so many barriers to play. I love the game, but the team has destroyed it. There is no coming out of this. It might take another bear market to finish it off...but this game is dead. the Team killed it.
You've got a plus one for wild here! I'm jumping back next season. One thing I learned the last few years with Splinterlands is to wait an see a bit before making desicions.
Yeah same here as far as wait and see. I'm not feeling good about the pay to play aspect and am wondering if I'll stick around still, but so far even the stuff I thought might make me quit before hasn't so we shall see. It sorta sucks I was doing well in Wild (which I went to because Modern had too many high level decks) and now have to pay or do Modern, where the rewards are a lot lower and the battles are harder.
@@brianjhoneycutt i have a few accounts from silver to gold with basic CL cards . they all going to be making more than last season. even after the wild pass cost they will be earning more than before it. used to earn 2.5 sps a win now up to 3.5 on average
This just shows lack of confidence in the game, rightfully so. Grats to everyone, we have roughly double de rewards in sps... while sps is down 70% in the last months. Why would someone join splinterlands with all this instability? Its a big fail
the team completely demolished this game. actually not completely. One more nail in the coffin and its done. They alienated the bots. they alienated the lower class. they alienated the middle class. the only ones left are the whales and people who started before untamed. they will never bring this game back. and the only reason i'm holding my assets is because I put over 4k into it and it's pretty much lost over 90% of it's value. i'd rather just burn it now then try to sell it.
This system will motivate more people to leave. Say someone pays and is in Bronze 1. They don't win enough, so they leave etc, and eventually, the current champs end up in Bronze 1 because there are not enough players to gain rating from.
@@wangmiester That another new meta to learn, and cards to buy or rent, just for.... meager profit. And that removes sunk cost as part of the motivation.

Thousands and thousands to play an auto battler? Lol
I think the same is going to happen. By September it will only be people who enjoy the game and may not even get a return.

That’s a good strategy and one I’ve adopted as well. I don’t mind buying cards to play with at bottom dollar prices.
Pumping SPS to $ 1.0 is the best thing to attract players and gain hype for the game
Who's going to do that? And how will SPS even get there? There's tons of people that will sell.
