Funny story of mine: it took me 4 days in MD (from a completely new account) to build the most expensive deck in the game f2p: HERO. Guess how long it took me to build the same deck in DL: nearly a year lol.
i kept re-downloading the game until i got 3 snoww and 2 ceruli from primal burst box . then i got 3 mahjong munia maidens from regular sr tickets for the continuous draw and discard effect and 2 goldd since its a good combo with ceruli to destroy 2 cards and special summon . then i spent most of my gems from lvling to get 3 grapha and i got 2 charge into a dark world in the proccess . with the UR dream tickets i got 2 floodgates since its the best counter vs pendulums and luna light saber . i spent a couple of gems on mini boxes to get some good lvl 4 xyz for different situations and i added a beiige to the deck to help with summoning those lvl 4 xyz . i added a couple of other cards like dark gate and dark world dealings and 2 headjudging from regular sr tickets ( in my opinion , headjudging is one of the best continuous trap cards if u dont mind the gamble ) . its not a competitive deck and if i wanted to play competitively i would go with a water xyz deck since its consistent , but its fun to get some combos popping off with dark worlds discarding effects
Good tip for those on the Rock Route: You don't really need Karma cut for Triamids, but it's a good idea to use a SR Dream Ticket to get Triamid Sphinx, the boss monster for the deck. You can skip the sanctuary box and save gems since those two cards would be why we're digging through it. Gorgonic Guardian makes BOTH magnets and Triamids WAY more consistent as an extra deck monster, also using an SR Dream Ticket. It's an XYZ monster that will also help you reach the lifetime goal of 100 XYZ summons and expand your extra deck slots.
The Photon Galaxy also a good box for Triamids since it contains rank 3 Ghostrick, which act similar to Triamid Master and put Hunter to some good uses beside of allow you to summon Master or Dancer. Also that box contains insane amount of staples (Malevolant Sin, Abyss...).
I can't lie I've considered never coming back to the game, it's an endless cycle of doing ranked and doing the same similar events, it just feels like there's no point anymore
You should probs take a break for a few months. I remember feeling the same way so I quit for a few months, tried some other games like master duel (for about a month or so), touched grass - that sort of thing. And then only about 2-3 months ago I came back on and you kinda get back into the game again. Oh also, if it’s that boring, just watch the anime. Honestly, watching the characters duel, will make you wanna duel and Idek why lol.
In my opinion, Qliphort from the new mini box is quite powerfull for first deck to build from the boxes, cause not really require any staples and good for farming deck to fight against high level AI (Vagabond),.
@@quangchau3907 yeah I started a second account and I went into the new main box for metalfoes but built deskbots in the process, using generic tickets on pulse minds. Not great but the deck functions really well for mostly n and r cards and a f2p staple
I was scammed to build Super Heavy Samurai from some other clips said that it is "F2P" deck, cost all gems and I have to grind nearly 4 months until complete Triamids. Now I'm running out of gems to upgrade SHS again because that cancerous Harpy deck counter 200% Triamids (I quit DL for several months and just returned after encounter 9 harpies in a row in KC Cup). My time is limited to grind Wong to lvl 35 to get Steam Train so I guess I have to insert staples to Triamids and run ranks again.
I went for the photon route myself, And I really liked where that landed me. So, for any of the routes mentioned, all of them will do wonders for you, there isn't a truly bad choice. I am actually starting to think that the string of new boxes as of recently might be forming a new starting route. But only time will tell.
My two cents to add to this great breakdown; KC Cup just ended so a balance patch is usually around the corner, I'd be somewhat hesitant to invest in Harpie. The deck is still seeing play, but it's been hit with nerf after nerf the last few updates. Phantom Knights appear to be doing very well, and the core of the Deck comes from a Mini Box, and Character Rewards. However, some people are predicting PK will be seeing some form of rebalance Unfortunately Yuto is an event character atm, and I don't recall if Konami said when he will be returning to unlock (Last event was Feb. 2nd 2022)

@@MrCheetoMan1917 i meant strongest decks as in the first generation of yugioh like in the anime up until the god cards . also , the only reason they kept adding stronger and stronger cards was to make more money . the stronger the cards , the less skill involved becuz of all the 1 card combos . its just a matter of who has a deck with a better search engine and who gets lucky enough to draw into hand traps . back wen it started , the cards had a simple effect with not too many sentences . so it was up to the player to create strategies with wat they had to work with . now , its the other way around , the cards decide how much skill u have . either way , i dont really care anymore . im just expressing how i currently feel about it
After 2 moths of grinding my resonators are finally good and the deck is so! The only staple I run are mst, semi limited trap hole(I forgot the name and I'm not opening this game to see one card name), solem and skull maister. The deck is build to be consistent so it doesn't brick a lot(3 mst or book of moon and 1 solem. I had this hand and this was the reason I decided to change my declist. It's not fun setting 3 BoM and pass. It feels wrong. I actually reached 3 time KoG with it. I'm on my way to my 4th KoG). This game for f2p user who don't want to spend a lot of time on this game have two options. Build 1 good deck then start searching for staple so when you want to try new deck you have good fuel for it or build a lot smaller decks without any staple or so but you can play something not that good but still playable like every day. I tried something between them and for personally didn't worked so I change my strategy. Good way I found farming gems is level up all characters you have to level 10(100 gems per character). Then when you need more gems start leveling them to level 20( more then 200 gems per character. Don't remember how much exactly you get). By this method and tour guide section I got full resonator, a lot of staples and 3,4 decks that are almost full. I'm pretty happy with the results
I love resonators. I really like splashing Tuning Gum with Red Nova to add more protection. I also think this is a pretty good strategy for gems and mindset. I grind most characters to 30 and only farther for certain rewards (Amazoness Queen, Awakening Dragon, Beta EM Warrior, ect.) its not that difficult and some of the older characters can ge yout around 1,490 gems (Newer characters, they changed the Lvl 30 reward from 300 Gems to a Unique Card, and thus its closer to 1,190 sadly)
@@MavenOathkeeper Imagine when they add link zones you could summon red rising in the extra monster zone and then special summon two tuners instead of one. And because the resonator skill will most likely not change we will be able to do really good combos.

And if we get atleast 1 more space in the extra deck we can have dark end dragon, hot red dragon, the normal dragon(because of the skill restriction), 3 rising, hot red dragon bane, red nova dragon! Also I'm big fan of fluffals and the are gonna give tiger and beat for free which means Konami is scared for losing more players and with this they want to get more players players back. If they get rid off the restriction to run red nova and the Normal red dragon archfiend and if we get the other dragon which is threaded as hot red dragon archfiend this deck is really gonna shine and maybe be tiered. But for right now they resonators are really fun combo deck

If you like the Red Dragon archfiend archetype I suggest spending your gems in the "King of Vermilion" mini box, from there you need 1 Red Nova Dragon(UR), 3× Crimson resonator(SR) and the resonator call spell(SR, I suggest running 3 but some people just use 2). You can get your one copy of "Red Dragon Archfiend" by buying the "King's resonance" structure deck for 1000 gems. This deck is great because you can get all you need from this mini box and use standard tickets to get King Wildwind and Red Rising Dragon. At that point your deck will be already very strong, you can throw in a bunch of R and N resonators you got while buying from the mini box but if you want to take it one step further you can try to get Red Resonator or Red Dragon Archfiend of Bane from their respective mini boxes, selection boxes or just use dream tickets on them. This deck needs you to unlock Jack Atlas for his action skill, but it really is not hard. Also, you can use your standard tickets to get solemn scolding, a effect/summon negate that won me many games, it works very well with the deck because red resonator gives you free LP that you can use to activate this card. Highly recommend this deck because it's fun, consistent(with the action skill) and comes mostly from tickets and a mini box so it's fairly cheap.
Skull Meister (SR, Card Trader), Tuning Gum (N, Dark Dimensions Box) Resonate Destruction (R, King of Vermillion Box) and Infernity Doom Dragon (UR, Kalin Kessler Drop) are some F2P cards that I like to splash into my Resonators.
My beginner deck tip: Amazones. Important cards can be obtained through tickets. Like the princess. The trap from a box incl. Canadia, for about 4000gems. Then you go to the new Boster and get the Fieldspell once or twice, also about 4000 gems. With this deck you can easily defeat Pve bots on lv50 and 60. In PVP it is also easy to win. If you still have gems left you can also get power of guardians which is in a structure deck.
@@addenanda i would love to play the cyber angel deck as im a new player too, but you cant get 3 times cyber angel idaten. Only one time with reaching lvl 21 alexis. But not available with Tickets atm.

my own little recommendation for a deck to build, you can go for an aromage deck, unlike other archtypes that you have to get from the boxes you can get them all from the card trader, if your card luck doesnt go well and you get rare cards you dislike, you can trade them in for some UR and SR orbs so you can get the aromage cards without spending anymore gems, its also a slept on archtype when your lifepoints raise every turn making you very hard to kill.
I like Dinomist deck ( don’t know what skill); at max it’s only 15k gems to complete the deck & you can always start off the the main 20 card deck by subituting the charge spell for the rush trap and instead of Rex use triceratops and bronciasauras then the rest are rare or normal only slinasauras is maxed out for necessity of the deck build and use a balanced amount of 3/6* basic monsters to complete it depending. you can always use the field spell and substitute it along the way as you get it.. Cheap&Cheerful! ,, $$$ it’s a mini box X3’ and I always found that the BEWD deck got me threw most of the difficult missions In most worlds …. 3;D yes have fun
I needed this video a year ago i started to playing dl. My fist deck was a deck focus on bring dark cavalry on 1st turn, i spend too much gems to get x3 goblingberg and x3 marauding captain to complete the deck. Then i build six sam, Ooparts and finally the best deck of all time; Qliphort :3 My first tickets i spend in useless cards but i have x1 tth, x3 bom & x3 mst
dL will continue to survive, with characters from each world unreleased plus links era to come soon. I've been playing masterduel since its first release until now and haven't found anything major or great with the rank and banlist system.
Even though I gave up on Duel Links, I still appreciate this video, and your channel, so I continue to watch your content. But what broke me for Duel Links, I was F2P, I was very fickle with my deck choices, and I also wanted to be competitive. I couldn't finish a deck I liked with just the gems I got, and the deck I almost finished became less interesting for me when I started taking interest in other decks.

i am agree with all your explanation, except the selection box. selection box is like gambling if you're f2p player. if you want to buy selection box, prepare to lost lot of gems for cards that you less needed
that's why I didn't buy selection box unless u dm lose gems for Uselss card in the selection box,as free to play(especially f2p new player) I wouldn't recommend it,unless they are pay to win player
I'm not a new player but I'm watching this cuz I'm thinking of making a new account to build one of my decks in the tcg which is also meta in duel links
I mainly just gravitate towards BOXer, power of the guardians and tune gear, and use whatever other cards I end up getting from the packs, which usually results with Horus the Black Flame Dragon, Hysteric Fairy, Magidog, etc.
I hesitate every time if I have to restart the game or not, I took so long to farm, to have the cards with particular artworks (like Blue Eyes White and Dark Magician)
I still prefer Duel Links progression system compared to Master Duel, sure you can craft the cards you want in Master Duel, but I find once you hit a certain amount of gems in Master Duel its almost impossible to get more until next season. In Duel Links I always get a couple hundred gems at least from events, and then on top of that each season the ranked rewards, and then on top of that theres like a gazillion characters to level up and stages to progress. In some ways I thnk duel links has a better f2p model than Master Duel because the free gem cieling you can get is higher even though the floor is higher too.
what are you talking about? Master duel gives 145 gems everyday for completing 3 daily missions which rotates everyday, and you can easily complete the 3 dailies by playing 1-2 games of rank. I don't know where u got this "impossible to get more until next season" LMAO but that is literally 1k+ gems a week with minimal effort and only from dailies, events give damn near 4k gems, rank rewards give 100 per rank increase and battlepass is COMPLETELY FREE and gives enough CP for 4 URs and SRs, all of this comes with no mind-numbing auto duel grind like in dl. Better f2p model my fucking ass. In DL, u can spend 9999 gems on building a deck and still not complete it if the deck is locked behind multiple mainboxes. U also get 10 copies of URs and SRs u have no use for and will never see the light of day, they are literal bricks stuck in your card inventory with absolutely 0 use. Also do u event know what floor and ceiling means in your sentence? Seems like u just threw those words without knowing what it means lol.

Actually DL is about leveling up your character to build decks. Konami makes it hard to give us exp50% event only one week per month. Why you making it so hard Konami, just why?
I feel people who have played yugioh before should just get the cards they like irl so they already know what they do and so on.the routes really didn't work out for me so I just stuck to ddd and malefic and when they both got support I started playing pvp.
Does anyone have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that plays duel links? Do you max performance? If so, how's the battery life? I really like the smooth visuals but I'm afraid my battery is going to drain like crazy.
My account is 4 year year old 25 KOGS maybe all characters are maxed out never spend gems on boxes so just brought the ex structure Satellarknight and will buy the next one because that's the only thing I can do I don't wanna start a new account and grind to level up characters again..I'll use some dream tickets grind some event gems and buy the new ex structure I don't know when they'll release new one this year only Satellarknight so far and it's mediocre
What is the contact between these boxes? So, after going photon of galaxy for photon deck, what will shining hope and infinite ray provide me for photon deck? Why go for the staple raigeki break instead of going for a deck first? I liked the photon route the most. Do I need to find a decklist for photon or satellarknight first?
Konomi likes to break arctypes between boxes so even if the arctype is the poster child for the box like photon chances are at least 4 or five key cards that make the deck playable, such as a boss monster, are in the other boxes. Also in the case for shining hope and infinite ray provide in particular both have very good generic xyz monsters that pair very nicely with photon as well as a lot of other decks. You want to go for raigeki not necceraly before you make a deck but defiantly very soon after because of how good it is, same with karma cut both can basically just slide into any deck that has room for them and work well. I would recommend you build your own deck first, test around with it and look at online deck list after and see what you can learn from them, I avoid them as a F2P because they often have use a playset of cards I cant reasonably get and also because following a online deck card for card is boring and (not to get to anime with you) removes that personal bond you make when building your own unique deck (even all the cards except for 5 are the same as an online deck). Hope this awnsers your questions and remember to have fun with the game and not over think it to much.
I really love using the tellcavaliere (it's the Italian name, I don't remember the English name rn) sometimes the game shafts me hard by giving me cards that I can't use cuz of requirements but it doesn't happen that often so it's fine
and the gems are in short supply in the late game is not quite true. I've been playing for almost two years. have 70% of the characters on max and have many good and pointless decks including key cards. and still have gems overgrig to go through a minbox twice.
im so sad bec my first account got wiped due to data transfer I forgot how it works and accidentlly overwrote it. Now Im starting from scratch. Not even the konami support care much asking me for information or details hard to recall because Im a returning duelist. Links made me come back I dunno what deck to build
I've try a lot of time to play duel links, impossible for a casual player, the fact it's too difficult to get your cards. How in a card game so difficult to create your deck
What a fool I was got nostalgic and decided to go into the game blind. Took Kaiba bc I always pick Yugi "couldn't have that much of an effect on gameplay" walked my baby legs into a casual duel 60 cards in front of my face and 1 turn later "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH"
Is there something wrong with the system? Because every time I place a trap/spell it goes in the middle of the trap/spell field and I can activate my monster’s effect but when it’s the enemy’s turn they can put it at the right or left space of the trap/spell field. Is there something that their using or something I’m not getting? New player btw.
The Video is a bit "outdated" due to the metagame been to focus on Phantom Knights and Mekk Knights It is relevant even in 2023. But u need a plan on what to spend the gems on. If you want cards from older boxes, wait for half gem sale.
best way to start duel link in 2022 is to not play duel link because komoney decide which deck will be top deck and ban older deck to hell so they can sell the newly released meta deck of their choice

That's why Duel Links is dying. It's very grindy and unrewarding compared to the easy to make decks in master duel

I build for the first time Valkyrie deck and i can say meh...depends on starting hand you can quickly win or slowly win against standard duelist.

By this method and tour guide section I got full resonator, a lot of staples and 3,4 decks that are almost full. I'm pretty happy with the results
I love resonators. I really like splashing Tuning Gum with Red Nova to add more protection.
I also think this is a pretty good strategy for gems and mindset. I grind most characters to 30 and only farther for certain rewards (Amazoness Queen, Awakening Dragon, Beta EM Warrior, ect.) its not that difficult and some of the older characters can ge yout around 1,490 gems (Newer characters, they changed the Lvl 30 reward from 300 Gems to a Unique Card, and thus its closer to 1,190 sadly)
@@MavenOathkeeper Imagine when they add link zones you could summon red rising in the extra monster zone and then special summon two tuners instead of one. And because the resonator skill will most likely not change we will be able to do really good combos.

And if we get atleast 1 more space in the extra deck we can have dark end dragon, hot red dragon, the normal dragon(because of the skill restriction), 3 rising, hot red dragon bane, red nova dragon! Konami really needs to add 1 more space to the extra deck. If we get 2 more... We'll this is Konami they are gonna wait 2 more years let's wait. Also I'm big fan of fluffals and the are gonna give tiger and beat for free which means Konami is scared for losing more players and with this they want to get more players players back. If they get rid off the restriction to run red nova and the Normal red dragon archfiend and if we get the other dragon which is threaded as hot red dragon archfiend this deck is really gonna shine and maybe be tiered. But for right now they resonators are really fun combo deck

If you like the Red Dragon archfiend archetype I suggest spending your gems in the "King of Vermilion" mini box, from there you need 1 Red Nova Dragon(UR), 3× Crimson resonator(SR) and the resonator call spell(SR, I suggest running 3 but some people just use 2). You can get your one copy of "Red Dragon Archfiend" by buying the "King's resonance" structure deck for 1000 gems. This deck is great because you can get all you need from this mini box and use standard tickets to get King Wildwind and Red Rising Dragon. At that point your deck will be already very strong, you can throw in a bunch of R and N resonators you got while buying from the mini box but if you want to take it one step further you can try to get Red Resonator or Red Dragon Archfiend of Bane from their respective mini boxes, selection boxes or just use dream tickets on them. This deck needs you to unlock Jack Atlas for his action skill, but it really is not hard. Also, you can use your standard tickets to get solemn scolding, a effect/summon negate that won me many games, it works very well with the deck because red resonator gives you free LP that you can use to activate this card. Highly recommend this deck because it's fun, consistent(with the action skill) and comes mostly from tickets and a mini box so it's fairly cheap.
Skull Meister (SR, Card Trader), Tuning Gum (N, Dark Dimensions Box) Resonate Destruction (R, King of Vermillion Box) and Infernity Doom Dragon (UR, Kalin Kessler Drop) are some F2P cards that I like to splash into my Resonators.

My beginner deck tip: Amazones. Important cards can be obtained through tickets. Like the princess. The trap from a box incl. Canadia, for about 4000gems. Then you go to the new Boster and get the Fieldspell once or twice, also about 4000 gems. With this deck you can easily defeat Pve bots on lv50 and 60. In PVP it is also easy to win. If you still have gems left you can also get power of guardians which is in a structure deck.
Good advice, but dont forget, that you have to grind miss valentine to get the queen at lvl 45
The best and competitive might be cyber angel. Completely f2p.

my own little recommendation for a deck to build, you can go for an aromage deck, unlike other archtypes that you have to get from the boxes you can get them all from the card trader, if your card luck doesnt go well and you get rare cards you dislike, you can trade them in for some UR and SR orbs so you can get the aromage cards without spending anymore gems, its also a slept on archtype when your lifepoints raise every turn making you very hard to kill.
I like Dinomist deck ( don’t know what skill); at max it’s only 15k gems to complete the deck & you can always start off the the main 20 card deck by subituting the charge spell for the rush trap and instead of Rex use triceratops and bronciasauras then the rest are rare or normal only slinasauras is maxed out for necessity of the deck build and use a balanced amount of 3/6* basic monsters to complete it depending. you can always use the field spell and substitute it along the way as you get it.. Cheap&Cheerful! ,, $$$ it’s a mini box X3’ and I always found that the BEWD deck got me threw most of the difficult missions In most worlds …. 3;D yes have fun

But what broke me for Duel Links, I was F2P, I was very fickle with my deck choices, and I also wanted to be competitive. I couldn't finish a deck I liked with just the gems I got, and the deck I almost finished became less interesting for me when I started taking interest in other decks.

i am agree with all your explanation, except the selection box. selection box is like gambling if you're f2p player. if you want to buy selection box, prepare to lost lot of gems for cards that you less needed

Not a begginer anymore but this is a great video, I went the gaia structure deck route and it worked well for me.
Duel links pacing on progression is too slow but atleast budget decks and some tech cards get to have some fun in the ladder unlike in master duel.

I mainly just gravitate towards BOXer, power of the guardians and tune gear, and use whatever other cards I end up getting from the packs, which usually results with Horus the Black Flame Dragon, Hysteric Fairy, Magidog, etc.

I still prefer Duel Links progression system compared to Master Duel, sure you can craft the cards you want in Master Duel, but I find once you hit a certain amount of gems in Master Duel its almost impossible to get more until next season. In Duel Links I always get a couple hundred gems at least from events, and then on top of that each season the ranked rewards, and then on top of that theres like a gazillion characters to level up and stages to progress. In some ways I thnk duel links has a better f2p model than Master Duel because the free gem cieling you can get is higher even though the floor is higher too.
what are you talking about? Master duel gives 145 gems everyday for completing 3 daily missions which rotates everyday, and you can easily complete the 3 dailies by playing 1-2 games of rank. I don't know where u got this "impossible to get more until next season" LMAO but that is literally 1k+ gems a week with minimal effort and only from dailies, events give damn near 4k gems, rank rewards give 100 per rank increase and battlepass is COMPLETELY FREE and gives enough CP for 4 URs and SRs, all of this comes with no mind-numbing auto duel grind like in dl. Better f2p model my fucking ass. In DL, u can spend 9999 gems on building a deck and still not complete it if the deck is locked behind multiple mainboxes. U also get 10 copies of URs and SRs u have no use for and will never see the light of day, they are literal bricks stuck in your card inventory with absolutely 0 use. Also do u event know what floor and ceiling means in your sentence? Seems like u just threw those words without knowing what it means lol.

What is the contact between these boxes? So, after going photon of galaxy for photon deck, what will shining hope and infinite ray provide me for photon deck? Why go for the staple raigeki break instead of going for a deck first? I liked the photon route the most. Do I need to find a decklist for photon or satellarknight first?
Konomi likes to break arctypes between boxes so even if the arctype is the poster child for the box like photon chances are at least 4 or five key cards that make the deck playable, such as a boss monster, are in the other boxes. Also in the case for shining hope and infinite ray provide in particular both have very good generic xyz monsters that pair very nicely with photon as well as a lot of other decks. You want to go for raigeki not necceraly before you make a deck but defiantly very soon after because of how good it is, same with karma cut both can basically just slide into any deck that has room for them and work well. I would recommend you build your own deck first, test around with it and look at online deck list after and see what you can learn from them, I avoid them as a F2P because they often have use a playset of cards I cant reasonably get and also because following a online deck card for card is boring and (not to get to anime with you) removes that personal bond you make when building your own unique deck (even all the cards except for 5 are the same as an online deck). Hope this awnsers your questions and remember to have fun with the game and not over think it to much.

Because every time I place a trap/spell it goes in the middle of the trap/spell field and I can activate my monster’s effect but when it’s the enemy’s turn they can put it at the right or left space of the trap/spell field.
