    Good job mate, I made something similar using the regular 48.3mm tube but think you can even get reducing key clamps now to combine with the width you're using here. The sideways wobble did irritate me though so another idea or as well as corner supports you can tension up with either wire cable or heavy duty webbing to some form of ground anchors.

    How high is the pull up bar and do you have a list of all materials required? I'm 188cm and want something I can hang from without having my knees bent

    • @jameshowsam
      @jameshowsam  9 місяців тому +1

      Hiya, list is in the video. You can adjust the height from 205-235cm tall. I am 184cm myself and could hang with feet off floor (tip toes and scapula not engaged would touch floor) no problem, and bar was not set near maximum height

      @@JamesNeal-c2g I got these from themetalstore.co.uk, 33mm diameter bars and associated clamps. Some of the clamps are also sold on amazon (they're popular for making external hand rails and holds, eg in elderly homes) so check there too for good prices

    • @jameshowsam
      @jameshowsam  4 роки тому +5

      I didn't but that's a great idea. I guess if you swapped the acute angle at the top for a swivel joint then you could food it flat by just loosening two bolts at the crossbeams

    Wow, thank you so much! I have been looking for something like this for ages now!! Couple of questions, where did you get the scaffold from? Does the A frame get in the way of certain exercises (like the windscreen wipers)? Do you think you could paint it green so it blends in to the garden?

    • @leistus9624
      @leistus9624 2 роки тому +1

      Got the scaffolds bars from www.themetalstore.co.uk/
      Doesn't get in the way when I do wipers because I like to curl my hips up for more tension, this puts my torso at an angle. but if you hung straight down with your torso perpendicular to the ground it would yeah.
      Could pait green for sure, just do a layer of primer first since it's bare metal.

    hey do u know if i can substitue out the acute angle joints for another swivel joint

    • @jameshowsam
      @jameshowsam  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Rory, yeah probably. Main reason I like this specific one though is that you can set the angle then 'fix' it for extra rigidity. I don't think there's much lateral stress on that particular joint if the angle is strongly acute but every little helps when you're trying to get it as strong as possible.

    • @jameshowsam
