Keith allan, your probably right. Going into the 1990s he looked a bit older and had put on more weight. In 1991 i saw him in a charity game and he looked about 14 stone. Wich is heavy for a guy at 5' 8"05 tall.

I think a combination of his name (Best), the era he played in, his image, and the fact he played in England have contributed to some saying he's the best. Tavy@ apart from georges genius as a footballer hes one of the funniest men i have seen. He was a laugh. And couldv been a good stand up comedian, in a way he did do that when he started doing the after dinner scene where he made alot of money believe me. He could command 3 to 4 thousand pound just for one dinner and he was some times doing 2 dinners a day. Well the first one between 1 and 2pm is a luncheon and between 6 and 7pm is the dinner. He would sit at the top table with maybe 300 other people most well known, then after dinner he would stand up and say a few jokes about football for only 5 minutes. But he didnt like it, becouse he was shy. So he preferd and open question and answer set up. Where some one would ask him a question like who was the best defender you played against and so on. He found that easier. And it is. If he had one to many some times he would maybe stray to far but still make them laugh. But with jokes you can only go so far then you run out of jokes. Or being funny. But he was a really funny guy.

It's kind of pathetic really at that age still thinking what drugs has done to him is funny! It's amazing that he lasted so long being on the strongest and most dangerous drug of them , the one that affects every part of your body and long with benzos can kill you when trying to stop, alcohol is by far the worst drug and every doctor will tell you the same. No other drug makes you blackout, violent, sick, physically ill the next day. Like a doctor told me a paracetamol is more dangerous then opiates legal opiates not the stuff people have to take on the street which is like moonshine that people had to take when alcohol was banned! It's like skitzophrenics saying they hear voices, can't they just not think them or are they stupid? Or depressed people how silly are they! The only solution is to never ever ever try a drink because you don't know if you can stop or not till you have a drink so coz addictive people have different brain chemistry they should test people at legal age to see if they have an addictive gene as it's proven . It's not a choice you wally! It amazes me when people think they know more then people that study it all there life's 😂 are you angry at cancer patients as well as nearly all cancers are self inflicted, or people with diabetes or people with Hart problems?? You do realise nearly every health problem is self inflicted?? Or are you that sheltered and dumb to reality!

The facts are that he became a violent wife beater when he was drunk. Pele could've run rings around him. Good old feel sorry for me george best.

The facts are you're a f/i hater. George clearly states he never once asked anyone for help or to feel sorry for him. You pathetic little f/g cretin, you then attack his football when even Pele himself said George was the most talented player he'd ever seen...It just shows the level of your indignant hatred for someone you don't even know. I pray that you never encounter any troubles yourself in your life..
