You can see that despite the show of nonchlance and confidence he is in reality quite dead inside , and not happy. He was undoubtedly an always nice and polite person, and felt the need to behave as such, but you can see its more of an act than a genuine expression of will. You can also tell from his answers that his brain is a bit slow, and that the way each phrases he says dont link up very well together suggests his thought processes aren't very well ordered - even though he is clearly very good at attempting to hide this. Theres also that deadness too his eyes which suggests hes not quite there- a side effect of alcohol numbing your senses over time , like one hangover which builds up over time from drinking regularly. Althogh this kind of permanent lingering effect of the alcohol on the body is not severe in the short term, its definitely is distinguisuable in they way it makes you feel from having been sober for quite a while. Therefore, while he is completely sober in this interview , u can sense the long term affect of alcohol on his behaviour

Georgie Best United legend🇾🇪RIP🙏
George was tough.
I saw him once in London in the bookies and I asked for a autograph and he signed a book which he told me to buy from the shop up the road and he said I be done with my bets and he put £500 on a horse and it lost and he still signed the book and was nice it was for my dad he still got it now
The best irish player ever
Northern irish
@@nonrevnosnibormetalbeerrev6251 said himself he's an 'irishman'
@@TheJoeyOConnor aye but he is full, probably disne know where he is, he was born in the north hence northern Irish ,completely different country.
Rob 32 counties, irish only
Said twice he was an Irish man
Thanks for this
It literally was like the ball was glued to his boot when he went on 1 of his dribbly runs. . He actually scored alot of toe pokers did our George
Legend 💯
George Best : " if I had to choose between dribbling past 5 players and scoring from 40 yards at Anfield or shagging miss World, it'd be a hard choice. Thankfully, I've done both."
What a legend
His honesty for that time is very refreshing
He was the best there ever was to put a ball to his foot not just a talent a genius rest in peace Georgie best⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽
Georgie was Irish. Big love.
Honest, fair play.
He was human and honest and had his faults like the rest of us.Sadly everybody loves you when your dead.
Great player and a very nice bloke!!
sadness with a touch of
Class.
You can see hes been drincking here and trying hard to not be out of line. He knows hes in dublin and not all dubliners respect best. Its a long story. A believe he had to have a drinck to appear on the show alone. But george knows he has to be mr nice on a dublin chat show!
Your right. He is a proper drinker not many would spot it. Legend
Georgie had it all so much charisma 🎏
George may you rest in peace xxxxxxx
Hello ,how are you doing, how is the weather?
Brutally honest about his alcoholism. The statue at Old Trafford of Best, Law, and Charlton is awe inspiring in person.
I’d rather watch an interview about the good things that George best did, not listen to terry Wogan asking him if he stole out of a woman’s purse on holiday to get a drink, he handled the interview well though and spoke with honesty
the press loves the bad boys--that's why they continue
First time ive seen this, he was vary honest, i have never really liked him. But i have to hand it to him for this interview.
He self admitted he fell on thorny ground, after carefully treading through flowery meadows. : (
He was a frighteningly good attacker. Scared defenders silly. Legend.
George Best is a legend he dribbled the ball from left to right and scored so many wonderful goals a true legend of the time He just loved life fast cars parties and women and cocaine one of the goats of football Rip
Here here
You can see that despite the show of nonchlance and confidence he is in reality quite dead inside , and not happy.
I had the greatest pressure of serving George and his 1st wife at a Function in Belfast Europa Hotel on a night of SPORTS AWARDS ..HE DIDN'T TAKE A DRINK THAT NIGHT ... WISH I HAD OF A GOT A PICTURE OF YOU AND ME GEORGE.. REST IN PEACE.. BELFAST NATIVE.. X
