The moment Tkachuk did his smarmy little smirk and wink thing in Game 1: McDavid paused the series -- went into Settings -- and pushed all his sliders to the right and all of Calgary's down to zero.
Hahahaha!
He had 14 pts in 7 games rd 1 he's been on easy mode
Couldn’t have put it better. He then put it on rookie mode
And Keith wouldn't throw his hat for his own boy's hat-trick. Bad karma there.

Wish we had 2 more games of this series. Incredibly fun to watch.
Haha too much intensity for me. Game 4 I was legit so nervous I was considering stopping watching 😂
There were points where I had to stop watching cause my heart felt like it was gonna burst out of my chest haha
Blame Toronto for that. Time to clean house, NHL.

I absolutely LOVE that Steve was so shocked by the no-goal call at 8:05 that he legitimately clutched his pearls, haha.
Flames eliminated from the playoffs by a bad call. It's 2004 all over again.

As a Calgarian, a pretty bitter result . . . but I'm glad Steve is going to carry on for Round Three. I'll get into rooting for the Oilers not now but before long. They're now Canada's Team, after all.
I'm Oilers all the way and hate the flames so I know how hard it is choosing to root for your hated rivals. I'm totally shocked this series went this way somehow the Oilers got the flames to play open end to end hockey. The flames didn't play to their strengths they played to the Oilers.
I’m surprised your fellow flames fans aren’t roasting you for this comment.
That's a true Canadian right there!
Draisaitl sure was extra pissy in this series. 17 points in 5 games, absolute insanity.

@Echs Nope.
@Angry JayByrd Look at their team, it's the best team on paper still. They have all of what teams like Colorado, Florida, Toronto, etc have except on top of all that they have the best goalie in the world (especially in the playoffs) so of course, they're gonna beat everyone.

It was a shame that the Flames couldn’t extend this series. This series was more exciting than anything happening in the NBA playoffs.

Great series
This is just a suggestion. I think you should stream every Oilers game. Like Watch a Oilers Game with Steve Dangle.
He will, did the same with the habs last year
He's gonna follow the Oilers until they're knocked out
Matthew's is definitely one of the top players in the league. But let's not hear anymore of how he is better than McDavid. Case closed.
He's not even better than Draisaitl lmao. So sick of hearing about Matthews as if he's top 2 or 3 in the league. He's good, but he's nowhere near as good as leafs fans think.
Matthrew is a least 5th best player in the world I have
Mcdavid first
Draisaitl 2nd
Crosby 3rd
McKinnon 4th
Then Matthew's is 5th
@Michael Putnam if Matthews is better defensively, why doesn't he play on the PK? Draisaitl does, McDavid sometimes does. Enough parroting what the Toronto media says.
@Michael Putnam Matthew’s is a pretty good hockey player, but I’ll bet he’s a scratch golfer by now😊

2nd period had 80's vibes with all the goals.
That over turned goal was the karma from Ryan Kesler in 2017
What goes around.....
That statement makes absolutely zero sense. Kesler was on the Ducks, series was 2-2, score was 2-1 Oilers, Goal was called even with a goalie interference. How in the HELL is that karma related to the Flames??

Watch an Oilers game with Steve Dangle on sportnets UA-cam channel.
CGY got robbed on that goal. I won't try and deny it. I believe that was a good goal, no matter what the "experts" say.
They did not get robbed of the series though. You don't lose 4 straight, because of a bad call. You lose 4 straight, because your goalie puts up a 0.836 save percentage.
Also, Draisaitl had a goal disallowed earlier in the series, because McDavid obeyed the laws of physics while skating, and had to make inconsequential contact with Markstrom. The bad calls were made towards both teams.
The look on your face is priceless after 25 goals in the second. Lol
Still love your reaction! Very happy you covered the battle of alberta. Would be amazing if you where full on oilers fan!
Best 5 game series ever lol
During that replay review, the ESPN broadcast had a shot of the replay room in Toronto.
Always good to see Alberta braggin' rights staying north of Red Deer! (Former Albertian)

Yes, the oilers will always be Alberta's champions
Why is the quality like it's 480p..I'm watching this, and watched it with Dangle live at a better 1080p...sportsnet pls...
WHAT A FUN GAME TO WATCH WOW
McDavid will never be stopped
This is why I'm starting to love Steve Dangle. He SEES the game. First replay of the late goal I thought it looked "directed" by the foot (watch the heel). The announcers were oblivious and only after refs went to the review did they think, "maybe offside?" But Steve was right on it, first replay "OOooohh.. this is going to be interesting..". Excellent content. Looking forward to next round!
Exactly! That 3/4ths-angle that shows Coleman's back from above really opened & shut this case. Shame they didn't include it in this pack.
And there goes Steves ENTIRE prediction
I can't believe they called that a kick after the vegas goal on seattles opening night
Karma.....Calgary knocked Vancouver out of the playoffs with a kicked in goal by Joel Otto...
lmao
this happens so often in the NHL. they call some rule differently and it costs a team playoff games. i saw multiple kicks called goals this year and vice versa.
In the playoffs?
I agree
I always think of the season they waved any goal off for the tiniest bit of skate in the crease and then Brett Hull scored the game 7 cup winner standing in the crease
I loved listening to Kelly Rudey cry about the kicked in goal. He's such an obvious homer for Calgary and LA. I'm no Oilers fan but I dislike them less than the Flamers. Like Backlund said, they didn't lose that series because of a kicked goal. They blew several leads, one was 6-2. I was really surprised to see the Oilers up their game and match the Flamers aggression. It's ok Kelly. You'll be alright.
There’s no way that goal should’ve been called back. Especially not after the blatantly kicked-in goals that stood this season.
I wanted the oilers to win this series and that goal should never have been called back. It's a disgrace that it was. You don't have to be a homer to see that, you just need to not be an idiot.
The NHL seems to do this so often. Set a precedent during the season and then make the exact opposite call in the playoffs. During the season, everything I saw where there was a small kick was called a goal. I've looked at the videos for all the calls I could find from this year and the only difference I see is that the puck was moving in a similar direction as the skate on this one and that is not in the rule.
@@Ymirheim There's controversy every playoffs. If you're an Oilers fan just enjoy the win.
The whole Sportsnet crew sounded like Flames homers to me. Kelly was the most obvious though. But he’s been obvious for a couple of years at least. Calgary must be the Flames second favourite team.
Gotta love how the resolution keep changing throughout the video lol
As a flames fan, not really sure what Johnny was doing on that game winning goal…. He went to check his man and then just left him, giving up the easy passing lane??? Did he really think the puck was just gunna take a lovely bounce or something??
Also if markstrom had brought anything more than his C level play, this might’ve been a longer series, but he seemed to be rattled the whole series
Exactly. I'm not a fan of either team but Gaudreau on that GWG just decided to float away from Draisaitl instead of playing the man.
There's 3 flames there. The flame in the corner and 28 are right bwside connor and look to be closing in on the pass lane for mcdavid. 28 should have the passing lane covered and converge on mcdavid while Johnny switches off to cover the Dman at the blue line.
He left a bit early but 28 was floating just as much as he was and was the reason Johnny switches if there was only 2 flames there they stay man up
@@THIS---GUY Johnny was 3 feet from Drai who had the puck in sudden death overtime. Textbook positioning goes out the window when someone of that caliber has the puck. He should have checked Drai or at least got in his way to take away passing options. But this was an ongoing issue for Johnny all playoffs. When had the puck, the jets were on. But he was inconsistent with how he played when he didn't have the puck.
@@JDnumero1 when you look at Connor and see 2 guys right next to him you're gonna assume one of them stays with him. They all made mistakes and it cost them.
@@THIS---GUY correct. You just can't give someone like him any time or space. He scores from inches at times. You give him 2 or 3 feet, might as well not even be there. Oilers made their fare share of mistakes too. They just did a better job of cleaning them up, and the big boys came through when they needed to.
Flames fans: "#DangIt!"
Oilers fans: "La-la-la-la Bamba! On to the Conference Finals!"

As a hockey fan from germany, I just love that t-shirt.
Edit: Never mind. I just figured it's not an Ä but an s and a over the A. Really thought you had a german Umlaut in it. Lol.
Was hoping it would have gone 7. Go Oil!
I want Steve to do his next stream as oilers fan Steve
Glad they called that a no goal, that was an obvious kick in. His left foot started a foot behind his right and ended up a foot and a half ahead and people want to say there was no kicking motion lol. 7:06 literally shows the intentional kick.
LOL
Troll
I didn't think it was obvious but he directed it with the inside of his foot and that's what they've been calling. If it was outside foot could've been different. Glad it was called though
this series is soo much better than the Toronto series!
Keep following the oilers steveeeee😮💨
thank you Calgary , except for a fool that kick in a puck that already was going to go in , you did very well . all games were exciting , if you had one Connor McDavid on your team it would be Edmonton going golfing next week .
But there is only one Connor McDavid and he’s an Oiler. If Edmonton had Johnny Hockey, the Flames would be golfing at the end of the regular season. See how that works?
The oilers were the better team overall. This “one man beat us” rhetoric is asinine. Draisaitl, RNH, Hyman, smith all played well in this series. Not 1 man beat them. This isn’t basketball. Stop it
Calgary needed more than one guy to show up. The Oilers needed more than one guy to show up and they did.
Wish this series could have gone to 7, such good hockey. Hopefully they meet again in the post-season sometime soon. As a (secondary) Flames fan tho, that no-goal call had me FUMING last night esp since I'm a Leafs fan too and literally JUST had a goal taken back in a series deciding game that was officiated by Wes McCauley and Eric Furlat. WHAT ARE THE ODDS.
don't blame the refs, the call was made in Toronto
@@grazynazambeanie5963 ik, I'm not actually holding anything against the refs here it just felt like divine cruelty by the hockey deities lmao
How come no one talks about game 2 with Edmonton's 2 disallowed goals? They still won that game

why is this in like 480p
Smith has a .931 save percentage through the frist 2 rounds of the playoffs. That is the second highest in nhl playoffs history. People shitting on Edmonton's tending are wrong. If mike tightened it up his stats would be mental

Evander Kane
Sorry to say, I'm alberta farm boy but Darryl should have put vladar in net for game 2. Markstrom was not playoff ready mentally
The (much) better team won. And would have won anyway, regardless of the controversial call.
If that’s a kick, then the goal against Seattle in game 1 of the season was kicked in by a bionic leg.
He slashed the oilers guy, pushed through Mike without trying to stop at all, and definitely gave that puck a push with his skate while staring directly at the puck. Doesn't have to be a 90 degree redirect to make it a kick, he should have left it to go in on its own. Good call by the ref
@@ericpelletier9765 I don’t necessarily have a problem with this being called a kick. I have a problem with THIS being a kick when so many blatant kicks were called good goals.
3:38 was an amazing piece of foreshadowing if I have ever seen it
