Thanks for your hard work---people who send nasty notes have deep internal PROBLEMS within their own troubled minds and souls---and instead of playing board games to distract themselves, they need to be doing healing work on themselves. Hi, so I bought a gameboard at a yard sale , it was a fundraiser purchase from 1992. It's named after a small town in N.J. (pine hill) it's similar to monopoly, except all the squares are local town businesses that I suppose sponsored the fundraiser..some businesses still exist ,some don't. How can I get info or find out if any worth?? Thank you

awesome video , I have both DARK TOWER and FORTRESS AMERICA I got them new for Christmas or a birthday back in the 80s .
they're both complete and in good shape , in a closet with about 50 other board games from the 70s and 80s .

I've the Dark Tower. Won an Ebay auction for almost 100 bucks. The seller sold it as "non functional" but i gambled thinking a friend of mine could repair it!. It was super easy to repair!. Now it is like the Holy Grail of my board game collection!.

Great info! I want to get axis and allies. I got two obscure ones for ya. Maybe not worth much but some good old vintage fun. They are called Park and Shop and the other is called Manhunt. Park n shop was where u had a list of errands to run and the gameboard was a city. You drew cards and had to maneuver your piece around town and finish your errands before the other players. Sometimes you got dinged and had to lose a turn from a "flat tire" or had another errand added to your list. Simple but alot of fun bc you chose what route u would take. Manhunt was a detective game almost like clue but u had to actually collect evidence and process it in a crime lab. Whole lotta fun! And of course dont forget the war games that were sold in the back of comic books! I ordered and still have mine 30 yrs later! They were made by a company called Helen of Toy. They were small bookshelf games with alot of pieces like planes, ships, tanks, subs. They were so fun. Look those up on ebay! I think i paid about 7 or 8 bucks for mine. Ive seen em listed in the hundreds on ebay!🤯. Great post again. Thanks for the memories!

I had the Dark Tower board game, bought it at a yard sale in 1982 when I was 10 for $5.00....sadly I do not have it anymore but the game was phenomenal, restoration games is revamping it as Return to Dark Tower but IMO it doesn't have the same magic.

    • @LazyIRanch
      @LazyIRanch 3 роки тому +2

I love that movie too! Reminded me of my goofy group of friends in elementary school during the 60s. We were the oddballs that other kids bullied, so we banded together. I still think that we were the real "cool kids", because we didn't bully others.
I was the "fat kid", Tori was a cute girl, but "wall-eyed", Becky was a Thalidomide baby, and only had flippers for arms. She got mechanical arms in the 2nd grade, and I thought she was the coolest! Roger was from Germany, and was still learning English (he was bullied so much by our teacher!). Denton was a boy, but even in 2nd grade I knew "he" was in the wrong body and should have been a girl (as an adult, she is now). Margaret was my best friend; the smartest kid in class and the only black child. She was bullied so much (1960s Texas), her parents took her out of our school and enrolled her in private school. It was best for her, but I was sad.
I wish I knew where they all are now. Denton is the only one I still knew as adults, but haven't heard anything about her in 20 years now. I'm glad she got away from her cruel family and is living the way she wants now.

I pick up odd games for cheap usually 25 cents to $2 even if not that rare if i can easily list get $20 even for parts ill take it. Now where i really look for is stuff with crazy color scheme like bright and neon colors on the box i got one today for $2.39 again not worth alot but Knockout i can get $20 easily and wont take long to list or ship. I also look out for any clue game with at least the pad now i dont usually keep the board or box on clue unless worth it as the pieces and unused pads go for good money and fast i wont nickle and dim it thou. Any cheap Monopoly as long as the pewter token movers are there. Another good cheap fast seller is Sorry Sliders. Nothing big money in my comment but easy and fast money.

I had no idea Axis & Allies 1914 was that valuable. Thank you for sparking my interest. The Anniversary, Guadalcanal and Battle of the Bulge editions are valuable, as well. But then there's versions of Axis & Allies that are worth about as much as the shipping cost.

1st edition Space Hulk from 1989 is another good one... sells for $250-ish without expansions. The expansions are pricey, as well. Space Hulk was sort of based on the Aliens movie, so it is amusing that Leading Edge put out an Aliens game (board game, not the RPG that LE also did make) also in 1989 and that game is very pricey and collectible... in the $250-$300 range... the expansion is often even more!

When I first started flipping online it was board games. The only ones from your list that I had was the black Pokémon, hotels, and hero quest. No one that I knew of was flipping vintage board games and they were hot until 2015 then they tanked unless they were rare and obscure. Vintage wooden Risk used to fetch 50 easy. I even shipped them to aircraft carriers.

I've been a board gamer since forever. You should also bolo for Conquest of the Empire, Shogun and Broadsides( probably the hardest of those types of Milton Bradley games to find) . Original Avalon Hill and SPI games were mainly 2 player battle simulation games. I believe Mayfair games came out with upgrade reprints of some of their games. There are a lot of games that were popular in their day that did not have high print runs and are more fun than most games today.

I've never seen what the components look like, as obviously my copy isn't opened, and I've never seen images of them on the internet.

    Hi Don!
I think the most expensive game I sold was The Serial Killer Trivia Game. And another one I had which I don't recall the name was some agriculture board game that was only available to public schools. And now that I think of it I'm surprised Ebay don't pull the serial killer game off. They don't like that stuff. Lol
Thanks again for your time and knowledge!

We have all our old board games- but man do I wish I had kept Remote Control- literally a game based on the MTV game show. It was my choice to sell it. I’m the dummy in my teens who sold our Atrati game set, Pong and so many other things my mom asked if i was sure. That woman knew exactly what to keep from her generation- should listen to her. We are slowly making money on items she refused to get rid of. Go mom!!

I frequently go to a donation center called Savers to check out the various board games people have brought in (and once found a Nintendo VirtualBoy in the box). To my agony, on one of my visits, as I approached the board game rack I passed a guy walking away from it holding a Hero Quest game under his arm. I was mere minutes away from the chance of buying it for about five bucks. Still makes me sick to my stomach...

Good for you brother, tell them off! No one deserves to be called names, receive hateful messages, or just plain rude..
A little kindness goes a looooong way, we are all human. Every single person on this earth has made a mistake, an if you say you have not you are an absolute lair! I am sure we could ask your mother or grandmother what mistakes you made an let's point those out!!
So stop the HATE over a mistake anyone can make..no person deserves it over something that this person took the time to care enough to let you idiots know what 25 are top sellers...
