Since I see that there's a couple of other hams on here, I don't suppose you could pull this out of wherever you have this stowed and testing it for RFI? I could see getting one of these and using it to control a bank of LiFePo 20aH batterys. It was like the lightbulb switching on moment in my brain when it all finally clicked. Each brick is a solid 200watts individually (when not connected in-series) that you can use to recharge you power stations or to run any other DC powered items in your household without the need of your solar power stations at all.

@@HOBOTECH I apologize in advance for being nit-picky, but if you knew me you'd know that it's done in the most affectionate (if still annoying) way and that I honestly can't help it. 😋 It's like a compulsion. The reason I said it's still not 100% clear is because @5:10 you explicitly state that the product DOES come with the adapters: "You just use the 5521 barrel plug connector, and on the other side you can use any of the adapters INCLUDED, which are tons and tons and tons. The most ridiculous number of adapters I've ever seen COME WITH a product." Then, when you reach the end, you're talking mostly about it not coming with cables, with only a quick reference to "not every adapter". Given that you earlier said the product includes "tons and tons", one can't be sure if "not every" means it doesn't come with ANY, or that perhaps you mean it only comes with just a particular subgroup (one of the 3 sets?). Or if it was even said in error, since you had mostly been talking about cables and not coming with any adapters would directly conflict with the earlier statement @5:10. I hope you can see why I felt confused. 😊 It wasn't due to me not listening, which I know likely gets frustrating for you, with people frequently asking dumb questions because they didn't pay attention.

I clearly stated it does NOT come with adapters and you need to get them at checkout.
The most ridiculous number of adapters I've ever seen COME WITH a product."
Then, when you reach the end, you're talking mostly about it not coming with cables, with only a quick reference to "not every adapter".
If you had multiple units connected in parallel could they be charged all at the same time or would they need to be charged one at a time?
You can charge all at the same time if you had multiple input cables.
Something new lol well life can be a b##ch I was to start my life as a nomad this past Monday but I got a cold overnight then I ended up with bronchitis second time having it but this time its worst hard time breathing had a covid test done I'm good but what a great beginning for my nomad life😤😤
Mr. Hobo which backup do you recommend for a sleep apnea machine, I will only be using for only this, nothing else. Thanks for your great vids.
I know you're looking for the Professor's opinion, but I have a Bluetti AC50s. Using the 12 volt adapter for my Airsense 10 cpap machine, I can get 2-3 full nights. That's without turning off the humidifier or the heated hose. If I were to turn those off, I could easily get 5 nights (but my sinuses wouldn't like it).
@@joshua.harazin thanks for the info Josh, I'll look into this one also.
Or reverse your health problem and free yourself from your sleep apnea machine forever.
@@Robert-cd2ht Thank you, I hadn't considered shrinking my soft palate. 😐
@@joshua.harazin Actually you should consider removing the bad foods in your lifestyle and consume the nutrients required to repair the body which it will do if given the chance. soft plate or dysfunctional nervous system? Not saying that we should turn this into the hobo health channel.
Does this mean it can take a charge from any charger? May be why they didn't feel the need to include one. Seriously, can I use my 10w AC phone charger to charge this power bank? I have an electric bike that has a 750 watt/hr battery that has a 120w AC charger. Can I use that? You get the idea.
As long as it's 5v-25v it will charge.
I’m building a go box for Ham Radio. Usually powered with Lithium ion of 12ah @ 12v. I was wondering if one of the PowerBen lite would handle this or be over kill?
PowerBen can handle it.
@@HOBOTECH the radio pulls 8 amps at transmit. If you are a ham would be good to see how many hours use one might get running CW or SSB out of a 20 wall the a 100 watt radio.
Forgot I also run a Raspberry pi 4 with the software I need to run digital modes. Would you go with the lite o4 regular version? Also how do you keep the voltage from going past 13.8?
It's programmable. Did you watch the video?
give me solid state batterys ....this old tech.... still like
It costs to much for the amount of wh. Yes it's cool but you still have to buy cables for those functions. 250 wh u can justify the price.
This may have been mentioned in the video, but...does this provide power simultaneously while it's being charged? I have a use case for that.
Yes it was mentioned in the video.
@@HOBOTECH so I guess I have to wade back thru the entire video to get the answer
Sooooo... what is your recommendation to power my 45 liter ICECO VL?
Take your pick hobotech.tv/amazon/#Power-Generators
Interesting product, seems very niche though.
I am so confused. haha. It has a 5521 adapter that **stops typing** ok I think I get it.
The smart DC port has the mppt and the 5521 is just a charge port. Thats pretty confusing at first glance. Especially since I have mc4 to 5521 cables for a PPS or two I have around here.
Im only 6 minutes in but it seems that this product could probably use a bit of tweaking. **continues watching**
Both DC ports have MPPT. Both DC ports are also bi-directional.
how big is the manual? so confusing
You cannot bring powerbank that is more than 20,000mah (20ah) on a carry on bag.
At least I am sure in international flight so dont gamble if you dont have check in bag to put it and check in.
You can take power banks up to 99wh on flights. The Mini version is 86wh.
@@HOBOTECH , ive seen the airport security in bankok asked a guy to leave behind a 20ah powerbank.
They asked mine and I just made a mistake and said its only 10ah but its really 20ah as well. Luckily the label was scratched already and not easily read
In US maybe but like I said, dont try it abroad. Better put it in check in bag. The sad part is, security check came in after the checkin of the luggage so you cant put it back in the luggage anymore for checkin.

Hey I'm a RC Hobbyist looking at some battery solutions to get some recharges without using a fuel Generator Charging 6s 5000mah lipo batteries for cars planes and Heli's what could you recommend?
Your Videos are very helpful I'm just not so sure on some of the products available not trusting the documentation on a lot of devices about how small they are to wh
This would be perfect for that.
@@HOBOTECH Cheers Question How many recharges of the 22.2volt 5000mah lipo do you think I can get from the one's you showed in this video before needing to recharge the PowerBen?
@@haveric24 the lite is a 6s 4000mah pack, the standard is a 12s 4000mah pack. You'll get less than 1 full charge from a lite, and maybe 1.5 charges from the standard. I know it's 4 months later, but for packs this size, it doesn't make much sense when you can just charge them at home and use the money that would have bought a powerben to buy 3 or 4 more packs.
Hello Sir, I was wondering does this product have pass through capability?
Yes. I did mention this in the video.
Can both powerbens be charged while connected in parallel?
Yes
Placed my order in May 2021, product was suppose to ship in July 2021 still waiting. Received tracking number August 19, 2021 after making Inquiry but as of this comment FedEx still doesn't have my order. Not sure if I can trust a company that doesn't keep its word and doesn't respond to a customer.
Why do they have different accent colors? aren't they supposed to be identical?
Ask Ben.
@@HOBOTECH He has stated that there will be a choice before delivery.
So the power ports identify as either input or output?
Yes, and both support MPPT input too.
Omg I just worked 12 12 hour days with 4 hours of sleep in between. I love your reviews. This one zombified my brain.
Has anybody actually received there powerben? I backed a different product on Kickstarter and it looks like myself and everybody else who backed it never got it. !
