I unlocked my camera the first time I played league by mistake and never used locked cam. Tried using it like some of my other friends and it felt sooooooo weird.
I just wish Riot allowed us to put the minimap on the top corners, especially when you play on botlane on red side. It covers a lot of the screen. Also since I've been an FPS player for so long I prefer to have it on the top left screen.

It's a skill you can improve, and I've been using this default method for 8+ years, so you can say my biggest advantage is my experience, I'm just so used to the default settings that I became really precise with my AA, even without the attack move keybind. I've tried the attack move keybind several times but it just doesn't work for me.
Just yesterday I was complaining to a friend why the target champsions only isn't a toggle and that I can't really use it because of that. The 10-15 min. I invest in watching these videos is really paying off^^. No more hitting minions instead of vitals on fiora yay.
When i started playing league back in season 4 my roomate almost forced me to play on unlocked cam and quickcast. It was rough at the start, but it wascrucial to developing my gameplay. But this is not the biggest setting adjustment i've done. Back when Bjerg streamed a lot i noticed something weird. Usually he would quickcast, but sometimes the normal cast indicator showed up outta nowhere and that allowed him to get precise skillshots. When i asked, he explained he had every ability on Quick Cast, and he bound every ability's normal cast to Shift + key (Shift + Q for normal cast Q, SHift + W for W and so on). I tried it and i never went back. This gives you the speed benefit of Quick Cast, but if you wanna get an accurate Equalizer or a max range barrel chain you simply hold Shift and aim precisely. Why choose when you can literally have both? Also, sidenote, i'm so used to play with unlocked camera that i need to learn to use Locked camera in cases when, for example, i wanna go ham on Katarina or Irelia or something like that.
@@kickflipz I mean, somethimes in frentic fights locked camera help a lot. It gets pretty dizzy, but you never miss your target or your character when dashing around like a madman.
QOTD: Ok this is gonna be a bit of a longer post but bear with me, it might really help someone out there. Must have a gaming keyboard that allows rebinding keys, (different profiles are a bonus) One of the best things I did that helped me was rebinding some keys. I changed my Tab key to A because I absolutely love a-clicking in all situations and seeing my attack range but the a key was awkward to press not sure if this is better than attack move, but its more comfortable for me personally, it helps me kite, make sure i'm targeting the right minion, helps me avoid hitting turret when diving etc.. I changed Tab to the tilde key just because i still need to see the scoreboard and the tilde isn't out of the way. I changed my Caps Lock key to left control, so I just move my pinky one key down and I can use ctrl qwer to level up my abilities (also reduces your ability to all caps flame as a bonus) an alternative to this is changing the binding to shift or any programmable button on your mouse as shift, and using that as the level up (i have a logitech g502 and i changed that 'precision aim' button to shift) so i just hold that down with my thumb and qwer to level up, and ctrl became the button i hold if i need to self cast like a lissandra ult for example I hope this helps someone out there, let me know what you think. it might seem a bit complicated at first, but if you have a customizable gaming keyboard and mouse then this guide might help you get more out of that overpriced gear. and maybe come up with your own creative bindings that suit your own preferences better.

QOTD: semi-locked screen. When I started league I got used to the locked screen and using the semi locked was useful to transition to unlocked. It was better than locked and brought me to the realization that even it had limitations and it was easy to switch to unlocked screen after that.

For champs like nidalee or lulu when u want to heal or shield yourself without having to click on your champion. And Its annoying if u have to change your keybindings every game when you don’t play jgl or sup. (I play mid most of the time)
TIP #1: Just a quick edit to this... You don't have to press the ability twice to cast it. PG explains this as (Rumble) R -> Change direction-> R Where you can do it as easy as: Hold down R -> Chose direction -> Release R This way is faster and more reliable since you only need to press the key once and aim wherever you want it.

Attack move on left click was the biggest and most important change I have ever made to League. It took me about 20 games to really start getting the hang of, but 6 years later I literally cannot play the game without it. last hitting with any role feels infinitely easier because I can snap my mouse and left click on the minion.
To add to unlocked camera, If you press the middle mouse button and move your mouse in any direction it will move your camera, useful for small movements where you don't want to click on the minimap or move mouse to edge of screen
Attack Champions Only is the main setting I took a shine too. I bound it to A to make it a bit easier to access in high demand. I play Renekton and messing up W is the best way to lose a fight. Dashing and stunning can be kinda tricky in a clump if minions so this helps a ton. Also consider how it helps against champions like Master Yi and Akali who can go un-targetable. This helps you not click a minion while you can’t click them. Just remember to turn it off cause I sometimes forget it’s on and wonder why I can’t hit minions for a couple seconds. I think they need to make the curser better display when it’s on because that little red gem isn’t enough when you’re busy thinking about other things.

• Bind enemy vision with your mouse scroll click. That will reduce the time of pressing+clicking. • If you play with a mouse with extra mappable keys (page back-page forward), bind ward/vision key to one of those keys on the mouse, instead of pressing key 4 and then clicking. • Play in very low graphic settings for 2 or 3 weeks to practice and memorize the ratio of AOE abilities as well as melee. Go back to your regular graphics after you practiced. • Toggle on “Gold earned” to memorize/visualize the average gold per cs, kill, monster, turret, ward trinket. So you know how much gold or cs you need to buy something later. • Change your cursor/mouse pointer speed inside the client settings to cover more space when moving the cursor and not having to move your whole arm across the mouse pad/desk.
4. Binding spell level up to alt is a bad idea since alt is used for self casting. 10. I personally bind Enemy has vision to V (V for vision) I have C binded to Show Advanced Player Stats, it lets you switch between runes and stats. Some other nice binds are T for Trinket, and Y for mastery emote. Binding Y to mastery emote will also prevent you from ever missclicking camera lock :)
In league smart cast was the biggest setting. But in Team Fortress turning on damage sounds and numbers was the greatest improvement I’ve ever had in a game
Wait I think you and I are talking about something different. You click on the game it sends you there. You click on the minimap normally it sends you to where you clicked on the minimap. With movement on minimap disabled, you move to the spot under your minimap in the game world?
For number 1, as a player that has been playing for 10 years, I will give you an alternative that will sound ineffective but works for me, I use normal cast and have been using it for 8 of those 10 years, the reason behind that is, that if I want to quick cast, I use the shift button and it will autocast, and for self cast I use alt + the ability, for me this is great
but in crazy fights this does have a drawback, if you need to keep relying on shift your reaction time is worse due to your hand having to stretch weirdly, regardless of how much you got used to it or not. wouldnt it actually feel better to reverse it, like normal cast on shift since if you want to use normal cast it means that task doesnt require you to be uber fast, and you have cleaner access to quick cast that way, making it so much faster

Most important setting: binding to target champions only. This is not only for your auto attack as mentioned in the video but also to move your champion to a specific position where minions or monsters are close which you otherwise would click instead. I use it all the time in the jungle, for example. Toggle is a bad idea btw, it's not dynamic enough. Bind it to V where your thumb basically rests.
a helpful tip with the quick cast on Rumble R, Viktor E and Tahlyah W just draw a line the direction you want the ability to go when pressing it and itll work fine
one thing im not sure they mention making sure your trinket doesnt hinder your item positioning, i use my trinket on my tilde key as my keyboard is small, also with rumble ults and viktor E, there's a setting in the menu called quick with indicator, this is the best way to make sure you minimize cast time while still keeping the ability to aim, i use this setting for cassio's miasma
quick cast with max range shown is so underrated, casts untill you release the key and while its pressed you see the max range of it even while moving, press right click to cancel, useful af
A really cool trick i use is having the hability you usually have on the Q on the A. Basically it gives you a more fast response and a more natural position of the hand because of course the finger you use for the Q is shorter, then you can use the Q for something like wards.
The one thing that I always have done (especially so I don't click my r/flash on accident) is move my fingers to the left so that my pinky is on tab and the others accordingly. This has freed up my pinky to hit the ctrl button as well when I need to level up and spam the boards while I'm farming.

QOTD: Mapped attack move to R and moved ult to T (T is also on my mouse). Saw this idea in a video somewhere. Couldn't use attack move for soooo long because there's no way I hit A. Also recently started LOCKING my camera, well setting it to toggle with the spacebar. I noticed I have a little trouble kitting backwards on traditional adc's (a role I never really played) and toggling my screen to lock is easier than holding space.
There a some keybinds I personally use that have helped me a lot too. Having C to use the fall back ping and also enable smart ping is one. You hold and click for yellow ping, or hold and move your mouse for smart ping. That frees up a key so you can bind it to whatever you want. I don't recommend binding Alt to level up abilities because holding Alt + whatever hability you want to use is the shortcut for self cast. This is useful too if you want to shield yourself with an ability. That way you don't have to hover the mouse over your character to cast an ability on yourself.

On spell level up shortcut you recommend changing from ctrl to alt, but alt is default for self target in league and also in many games, which hinders playing some enchanters or healers mainly.
My favourite setting was binding Attack Move On Click to my right click. So i can always attackmove with left click and can always see my attack range. This was really helpful, i think.
I've had the "Area is warded" ping bound to C since it was added and for me one of the biggest helps is playing with color blind mode on despite not being color blind at all as it gives your character a different color health bar and overall better visual clarity in my opinion.
QOTD: Changing the hotkeys for my items. (I use alt+Q/W/E/A/S/D and then I use alt+R for my trinket) this allows me to not have to move my fingers to the numbers and instead all I have to do is press alt to use something like a brk or a rhanduin's omen
Unlocking camera is tough, I already have enough trouble not being terrible with a locked camera already. When I unlock it, either I have a good 10s of nothing happening, or the camera goes wherever it pleases and I'm lost. And I wish we could rebind the ping wheel. I find it much easier to use Alt+click over specific buttons, but it doesn't let you ping vision etc.
QOTD: Binding attack move click to R and ultimate to T, it makes attack move clicking mindless and I hardly ever AA with right click anymore, it makes tower diving, kiting, and farming all much easier and consistent (even if I only ever play melee champions). The only problem I have with it is that "target champions only" toggle does not work with attack move click, you will still attack a minion or tower if it is closer to your cursor when you attack move click, I wish to see this changed.
I have my camera locked because i never was able to play around unlocked camera successfully but i do have a keybinding on my mouse where i need to press one button and the camera unlocks or locks again so i can easily quickly change the camera to scout out and lock again Also by having the camera locked my map awareness has really improved since i learned how to perfectly play with the minimap
QOTD : As ADC main, it probably was binding Attack Move on LMB. Felt so much more natural and intuitive for me to use. Otherwise I'd say changing from quick cast with indicator to quick cast without indicator was a big one for me
Colorblind mode helps highlight some spells and lets you check your health a bit easier. Singed’s poison trail goes from a dark green to a bright, noticeable blue
The attack move really helps my farming, and centering on champions helps by killing someone between mobs with basics. Maining Ashe, it also gives me a huge CC, so I tend to play it as a support rather than as an ADC (and CDR given by a domination rune and a correct build is really helpful). Need to learn tanking builds and make my tank runepage, sitting on 4800 BE and waiting for 6300. Never had a lot of macro though. Centering my camera on my E/R lets me direct it, always did it without camera focusing its trajectory. Especially when I'm bot, throw the E, then I can check both dragon and baron on a straight line, but i could also move that to check blue/red (depending on the origin point).
I feel like chat time stamps are also important so that if you or a teammate pings something like a flash, ignite, or ulti. Then you know let’s say as a jungler, you know that your enemy top laner burned flash at 7:30 and it is currently 10:30 then you know you can gank them without them having the ability to flash and same thing with ulti let’s say kled just used ulti and he has like 1-2 cdr items and it’s 10:00 then you know you have a good two minutes for his ulti to be back up so you can just push in the wave and back without him being able to get that cs. Reckon this is probably more useful for summoner spells and ults that aren’t kled but I think it is just convenient to have.
Tbh i play with locked camera and when i go gank, i jist click 1of the F keys to check up on my laner or more simply clicking on the map to check the lane. To me unlocked camera has always been Alien to me
My biggest change is a personal one. I key bound auto atk move to my number one button on the mouse. I cant use the 1 key on keyboard for activated items anymore. However it really helped me kite a million times better.
U can use to alt+Q(or) WER to use in yourself some skills. Like oriana skills. If u press Q far u can press alt+E and ball come to u. Some champs like lissandra in the middle of fight press alt+R and do R himself. I thing is more educational people like low elo learn more about that. Continue am good job in your yt channel. Just wondering, why is "Semi-Locked" not the training wheels for unlocking your camera? I've never heard it mentioned but you can get greater vision by panning your mouse around, but at the same time it also makes sure you can keep track of your character as it never leaves your screen

I think the most important mechanical setting is to diable minimap movement. Nothing is worse than shooting an ultimate skillshot and it goes backwards because for a couple frames you were hovered over the minimap.
Best setting change for me was the cost of abilities in the ability slot. It helps calculate if i have enough to use certain combos or how soon i can surprise with abilities by baiting
So like every other video you guys post I loved this one but my God I needed this and I didn't know it, specially the f1 to f5 tip, cuz everytime I would look at other lines I would have to look at the minimap and basically aim to the position which is not really that hard but it's definitely a fair amount of time wasted specially when you are trying to look at how your teammates are doing consistently!
Did you know, if you have quick cast enabled you can press and hold the button (Q for example) and it will wait until you let go before casting allowing you to aim still

PG explains this as (Rumble) R -> Change direction-> R
Where you can do it as easy as: Hold down R -> Chose direction -> Release R
This way is faster and more reliable since you only need to press the key once and aim wherever you want it.
QOTD: I recently started using "A" on adc and learn it so now I use it on every role. Much more less missed minions, easier kitting, and stuff like that
Been playing league for 6 years and i didn’t know there was an option to target champions only...this is actually gonna be game changing for me honesty. The number of times I've misclicked on a minion or tower is infinite. Thanks for the info!

Attack move on left click was the biggest and most important change I have ever made to League. It took me about 20 games to really start getting the hang of, but 6 years later I literally cannot play the game without it. last hitting with any role feels infinitely easier because I can snap my mouse and left click on the minion.

To add to unlocked camera, If you press the middle mouse button and move your mouse in any direction it will move your camera, useful for small movements where you don't want to click on the minimap or move mouse to edge of screen

Attack Champions Only is the main setting I took a shine too. I bound it to A to make it a bit easier to access in high demand. I play Renekton and messing up W is the best way to lose a fight. Dashing and stunning can be kinda tricky in a clump if minions so this helps a ton. Also consider how it helps against champions like Master Yi and Akali who can go un-targetable. This helps you not click a minion while you can’t click them. Just remember to turn it off cause I sometimes forget it’s on and wonder why I can’t hit minions for a couple seconds. I think they need to make the curser better display when it’s on because that little red gem isn’t enough when you’re busy thinking about other things.

• Bind enemy vision with your mouse scroll click. That will reduce the time of pressing+clicking.
• If you play with a mouse with extra mappable keys (page back-page forward), bind ward/vision key to one of those keys on the mouse, instead of pressing key 4 and then clicking.
• Play in very low graphic settings for 2 or 3 weeks to practice and memorize the ratio of AOE abilities as well as melee. Go back to your regular graphics after you practiced.
• Toggle on “Gold earned” to memorize/visualize the average gold per cs, kill, monster, turret, ward trinket. So you know how much gold or cs you need to buy something later.
• Change your cursor/mouse pointer speed inside the client settings to cover more space when moving the cursor and not having to move your whole arm across the mouse pad/desk.
You can set your trinket to quick cast like any ability.

4. Binding spell level up to alt is a bad idea since alt is used for self casting.
10. I personally bind Enemy has vision to V (V for vision)
I have C binded to Show Advanced Player Stats, it lets you switch between runes and stats.
Some other nice binds are T for Trinket, and Y for mastery emote.
Binding Y to mastery emote will also prevent you from ever missclicking camera lock :)

In league smart cast was the biggest setting. But in Team Fortress turning on damage sounds and numbers was the greatest improvement I’ve ever had in a game

You click on the game it sends you there.
You click on the minimap normally it sends you to where you clicked on the minimap.

For number 1, as a player that has been playing for 10 years, I will give you an alternative that will sound ineffective but works for me, I use normal cast and have been using it for 8 of those 10 years, the reason behind that is, that if I want to quick cast, I use the shift button and it will autocast, and for self cast I use alt + the ability, for me this is great
but in crazy fights this does have a drawback, if you need to keep relying on shift your reaction time is worse due to your hand having to stretch weirdly, regardless of how much you got used to it or not. wouldnt it actually feel better to reverse it, like normal cast on shift since if you want to use normal cast it means that task doesnt require you to be uber fast, and you have cleaner access to quick cast that way, making it so much faster

Most important setting: binding to target champions only. This is not only for your auto attack as mentioned in the video but also to move your champion to a specific position where minions or monsters are close which you otherwise would click instead. I use it all the time in the jungle, for example. Toggle is a bad idea btw, it's not dynamic enough. Bind it to V where your thumb basically rests.

Attack move click set to a button on my mouse has made a huge difference. My kitting is sooo much better since I changed it.

one thing im not sure they mention making sure your trinket doesnt hinder your item positioning, i use my trinket on my tilde key as my keyboard is small, also with rumble ults and viktor E, there's a setting in the menu called quick with indicator, this is the best way to make sure you minimize cast time while still keeping the ability to aim, i use this setting for cassio's miasma
quick cast with max range shown is so underrated, casts untill you release the key and while its pressed you see the max range of it even while moving, press right click to cancel, useful af
A really cool trick i use is having the hability you usually have on the Q on the A. Basically it gives you a more fast response and a more natural position of the hand because of course the finger you use for the Q is shorter, then you can use the Q for something like wards.

The one thing that I always have done (especially so I don't click my r/flash on accident) is move my fingers to the left so that my pinky is on tab and the others accordingly. This has freed up my pinky to hit the ctrl button as well when I need to level up and spam the boards while I'm farming.

QOTD: Mapped attack move to R and moved ult to T (T is also on my mouse). Saw this idea in a video somewhere. Couldn't use attack move for soooo long because there's no way I hit A. Also recently started LOCKING my camera, well setting it to toggle with the spacebar. I noticed I have a little trouble kitting backwards on traditional adc's (a role I never really played) and toggling my screen to lock is easier than holding space.
QQTD: the binding that has helped me alot is putting one of my active item slots on the space bar. and A click of course
There a some keybinds I personally use that have helped me a lot too. Having C to use the fall back ping and also enable smart ping is one. You hold and click for yellow ping, or hold and move your mouse for smart ping. That frees up a key so you can bind it to whatever you want. I don't recommend binding Alt to level up abilities because holding Alt + whatever hability you want to use is the shortcut for self cast. This is useful too if you want to shield yourself with an ability. That way you don't have to hover the mouse over your character to cast an ability on yourself.
As a gp main the quick cast setting is the most important thing I Have ever been taught in league when I started playing
1. quickcast
2. turn off locked cam
3. set up attack move
4. set up ctrl + q or whatever to level up
5. set up target champs only
6. make ur map big
7. minimize ur hud
8. show your mana costs
9. use the f1-f5 keys to see ur teammates
10. set up the "area is warded" ping

On spell level up shortcut you recommend changing from ctrl to alt, but alt is default for self target in league and also in many games, which hinders playing some enchanters or healers mainly.

My favourite setting was binding Attack Move On Click to my right click. So i can always attackmove with left click and can always see my attack range. This was really helpful, i think.
I've had the "Area is warded" ping bound to C since it was added and for me one of the biggest helps is playing with color blind mode on despite not being color blind at all as it gives your character a different color health bar and overall better visual clarity in my opinion.
Changing from Fullscreen to windowed mode at 1600x900. I can see everything much easier, specially in a teamfight. Helped me a lot
QOTD: Changing the hotkeys for my items. (I use alt+Q/W/E/A/S/D and then I use alt+R for my trinket) this allows me to not have to move my fingers to the numbers and instead all I have to do is press alt to use something like a brk or a rhanduin's omen
Unlocking camera is tough, I already have enough trouble not being terrible with a locked camera already. When I unlock it, either I have a good 10s of nothing happening, or the camera goes wherever it pleases and I'm lost.
And I wish we could rebind the ping wheel. I find it much easier to use Alt+click over specific buttons, but it doesn't let you ping vision etc.
QOTD: Binding attack move click to R and ultimate to T, it makes attack move clicking mindless and I hardly ever AA with right click anymore, it makes tower diving, kiting, and farming all much easier and consistent (even if I only ever play melee champions). The only problem I have with it is that "target champions only" toggle does not work with attack move click, you will still attack a minion or tower if it is closer to your cursor when you attack move click, I wish to see this changed.
I think muting chat was best decision I ever made. I feel way less tilted and my winrates been going up a lot.😊
I have my camera locked because i never was able to play around unlocked camera successfully but i do have a keybinding on my mouse where i need to press one button and the camera unlocks or locks again so i can easily quickly change the camera to scout out and lock again
Also by having the camera locked my map awareness has really improved since i learned how to perfectly play with the minimap
QOTD : As ADC main, it probably was binding Attack Move on LMB. Felt so much more natural and intuitive for me to use. Otherwise I'd say changing from quick cast with indicator to quick cast without indicator was a big one for me
Colorblind mode helps highlight some spells and lets you check your health a bit easier. Singed’s poison trail goes from a dark green to a bright, noticeable blue
The attack move really helps my farming, and centering on champions helps by killing someone between mobs with basics. Maining Ashe, it also gives me a huge CC, so I tend to play it as a support rather than as an ADC (and CDR given by a domination rune and a correct build is really helpful). Need to learn tanking builds and make my tank runepage, sitting on 4800 BE and waiting for 6300. Never had a lot of macro though. Centering my camera on my E/R lets me direct it, always did it without camera focusing its trajectory. Especially when I'm bot, throw the E, then I can check both dragon and baron on a straight line, but i could also move that to check blue/red (depending on the origin point).
Self Cast (ALT + Q/W/E/R) and "Area is Warded" ping helped me out a lot.
Self-casting (alt+ability) is also a crucial mechanic related setting
I feel like chat time stamps are also important so that if you or a teammate pings something like a flash, ignite, or ulti. Then you know let’s say as a jungler, you know that your enemy top laner burned flash at 7:30 and it is currently 10:30 then you know you can gank them without them having the ability to flash and same thing with ulti let’s say kled just used ulti and he has like 1-2 cdr items and it’s 10:00 then you know you have a good two minutes for his ulti to be back up so you can just push in the wave and back without him being able to get that cs. Reckon this is probably more useful for summoner spells and ults that aren’t kled but I think it is just convenient to have.
Tbh i play with locked camera and when i go gank, i jist click 1of the F keys to check up on my laner or more simply clicking on the map to check the lane. To me unlocked camera has always been Alien to me
Quick casting abilities and mouse binding leveling up abilities helped me
My biggest change is a personal one. I key bound auto atk move to my number one button on the mouse. I cant use the 1 key on keyboard for activated items anymore. However it really helped me kite a million times better.
U can use to alt+Q(or) WER to use in yourself some skills. Like oriana skills. If u press Q far u can press alt+E and ball come to u. Some champs like lissandra in the middle of fight press alt+R and do R himself. I thing is more educational people like low elo learn more about that. Continue am good job in your yt channel. Just wondering, why is "Semi-Locked" not the training wheels for unlocking your camera? I've never heard it mentioned but you can get greater vision by panning your mouse around, but at the same time it also makes sure you can keep track of your character as it never leaves your screen
QOTD: Quick cast with range indicator and turning off auto attack so i can properly last hit minions. Honorable mentions: binding key items to my side mouse buttons, turning off in game music and legacy cursor (its honestly a blessing from the past)
I think the most important mechanical setting is to diable minimap movement. Nothing is worse than shooting an ultimate skillshot and it goes backwards because for a couple frames you were hovered over the minimap.
Alt key to target self is very useful on Orianna, Morgana etc. keep your mouse on target and just hit alt+e to shield yourself 😎
Best setting change for me was the cost of abilities in the ability slot. It helps calculate if i have enough to use certain combos or how soon i can surprise with abilities by baiting

So like every other video you guys post I loved this one but my God I needed this and I didn't know it, specially the f1 to f5 tip, cuz everytime I would look at other lines I would have to look at the minimap and basically aim to the position which is not really that hard but it's definitely a fair amount of time wasted specially when you are trying to look at how your teammates are doing consistently!
Did you know, if you have quick cast enabled you can press and hold the button (Q for example) and it will wait until you let go before casting allowing you to aim still
