I'm here for the same reason. Surgery was suggested because I've had 5 miscarriages and have a bicornuate uterus. My eggs are also "acting older" than they are so this might not even help. But I want to have a family so much I'm willing to try.
This actually happened to me. Barren for 11 yrs. Sleeved 10/7/19. Lost 75lbs. Pregnant by 4/08/20. Gained all weight back. Your videos have given me so much motivation to get back on track! Thank you!

I want this more than anything in the entire world. I'd choose this over a million dollars. I just want a family. I have cried so much lately because I'm so sick of being heavier. I used to be 130 pounds. I was thin and active and healthier. I am 30 now and just want a family so damn bad I will do this surgery to help.

I got sleeved 12/19/2018 lost 160 pounds had a baby 9/2/2021 and now I want this weight gone!!! I gained 45 pounds during pregnancy.

I had the sleeve and long behold got pregnant 1 year after I threw up sooo much but I only gained 25 pounds with her lost 15 of it immediately. then went through depression and gained 25 pounds in a year. Coming back down now that she’s 2. This was insightful. All vitals were crazy fantastic though
How do you gain so much with 20% of a normal stomach
Also, after losing all that weight the first 6-8 months, do you really want to put it back on right away with being pregnant? I would wait even up two years, personally. (That’s just how I feel about my body.) To get as low as your body can so that’s even less you’ll have to lose after being pregnant.
Well when you're 30 gonna be 31 this year like me, you really don't want to wait that long. You can get pregnant healthily and yes it would be worth it especially for someone like me who wants a child so badly.
@@nicolekear3911 I was 34 going on 35 when I had my son. It was a completely healthy pregnancy. It has too often been ingrained in us that being in our 30s is unhealthy to be pregnant. That is not the case. My doctor even advised that from the age of 30 to your mid to later 30s your chances of issues do not go up dramatically. However, this is certainly a personal decision too.
@@BStop22 That is amazing...myself I always knew I wanted to have a child by 25, that came and went and now that I'm 30, I cry about it because I've never been pregnant minus once during fertility treatments they said it was borderline positive but it was two weeks and it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. It sucked but I overcame that quick. I have PCOS, I am so sick of the weight, but really because I am in pain, my lower back my lower legs from all the weight. I am 250 I CANNOT get past 230 for whatever reason....I just can't, I have tried so hard and I can't, my weight won't go down. I am so scared...I just want this surgery I need a change. It sucks because I love working out I love being active I always was and was 130 in my 20s up until just about two years ago. I was devastated when I was confirmed I had PCOS. I felt like my life was indeed just over, and that I never would have a family. I've tried so hard to work on my weight that I've tried keto, Mediterranean diet other fad diets and the weight won't budge. It sucks because besides the complications with weight and my hormones, I'm healthy, but I KNOW that if I get this surgery I will be 100 times healthier. I don't care if I get down to 130 again, my goal is under 200 I'd be happy with that. Nothing wrong being 5'11" and having some curves. I used to have so much energy it was ridiculous. You would have sworn I was a crackhead. Never done crack or other drugs lol. I just want to get back to that or some semblance of it. I will admit that although I'm not one of those women who are like I'll never get pregnant now after 30, I just wish it was a little earlier. Now I feel like I have to have one within the next few years.
I hear you. I had my surgery 5 months ago. Ill be 35 tomorrow . I'm trying to wait until atleast 12 months before conceiving. I have this pressure on me because I'm turning 35. Ironically, my reproductive system is healthier now after surgery, then in my 20s. I'm Hella fertile now lmao. I need to relax I'm so anxious to become a mother.
What about for men how does this boost or effect our fertility after sleeve

Is it possible to become pregnant immediately after sleeve surgery? I had surgery 12/30. Lately I have been nauseous, no menstrual cycle and some breast sensitivity. Its been 5 weeks since my surgery.

Say if I got a sleeve and I get pregnant put on weight am I likely to loose it again because off the sleeve I’ve had done previously or I would need another sleeve after baby is born ? Thanks Dr

There's no need of another sleeve, don't worry, you need to focus on exercise routines and a balanced diet, you will lose weight again

Hi Sorry doctor but being a certain weight doesn't lower or raise the risk of GD that has everything to do with how the placenta is functioning and nothing to do with the mother. I have had all my babies (so far) while being extremely overweight and never had GD yet I know a number of women who are the right weight for their height who develop GD. That's not to negate that being a more optimal weight is better for anyone and has benefits in pregnancy.
I’m so nervous ... I have pcos and currently weigh 449 smh 🤦🏻♀️ I have always struggled with my weight ... in 2017 I lost 162lbs on my own with dieting and exercise and getting the medication I needed for my high blood pressure I guess I was retaining lots of water and it was not diagnosed until I almost died in 2016 my blood pressure was 224 I was having severe migraines and couldn’t even look at light because my eyes were so swollen and red and puffy FINALLY my grandma told me to check my blood pressure and boom I then called my primary doctor who didn’t know what was wrong with me and always so busy and sending in medical students to check my vitals and they never checked my blood pressure they just looked at me and basically seen my weight and was like ok doctor will be in soon Smh 🤦🏻♀️ !!! So after I called the doctor they then checked my blood pressure and I had to go to the hospital !! Anyways long story short , I got on my blood pressure medication and then started losing so much weight with walking and getting blood pressure under control and then after losing all the weight I started gaining it all back and some after my Dad passed away I went into a VERY deep depression and it’s been downhill ever since then plus a divorce and two miscarriages and now I’m here and about to get one of the two surgeries either gastric bypass or the gastric sleeve !! I’m trying to decide between the two because I only got two months left and then I will go under smh 🤦🏻♀️ I just don’t know witch one to get since I do smoke marijuana and I know with bypass you cannot EVER smoke again because of ulcers and blood clots ... So I’m leaving more towards the gastric sleeve BUT the doctors said that the sleeve you only lose 80-100 lbs ?? I need help losing more I’m so stressed out at this point ... any advice doctor ? If you see this comment thanks in advance for your response .

That's a lie for that doctor to tell you that. There is tons of people that I know who loss more then 100 pounds.
