Thats true
He’s like the only fighter who knows you can kick a grounded opponent as long as you don’t hit their head.
He really is
Most are probably too scared too they don’t wanna get their finish overturned
Completely agree with this. He’s clinical with it. His brain is just wired differently.
Not afraid to pull the trigger and not sure I can remember him ever hitting an illegal blow with it.
Dumb comment
I was watching and wondering why more fighters don't do the same.
I can’t even give him shit for the Walker fight, he was ABSOLUTELY undersized for Walker.
That anders fight was brutal. He wants to inflict high damage
Khalil "Guys you can kick grounded opponents just not their heads" Rountree
Watched just enough Pride to learn the legal kicks in the UFC.
Fr that is so under utilized
Is that not a soccer kick which I thought was illegal?
@@Apple_Slices.Totally legal, just not to the head
@@artifex2.080 I'm surprised fighters don't use it more. I guess they might be worried they'll hit the head and get a NC or something.
“Bangkok ready” Khalil Rountree is the most underrated mythical fighter
Tbh It feels good to see cans🥫 get more coverage in the UFC

He has nothing but bad intentions when he fights, that's something that can't be taught.
I love that
Him, Matt Brown, Chito Vera, young Wandy and young Robbie Lawler have a talent for unadulterated violence.
@@TheMuffinManIsHappy great examples brother
Yeah, he fights with more hate in his heart than anything I've ever seen.
@@TheMuffinManIsHappy Just got me all excited for Chito this weekend, and Sandhagen is no boring fighter himself
Love it when he throws the body kick to grounded opponents
@@bird_up oh brother please go watch some Pride FC preferably the Grand Prix 2000 or 03 open weight 😮💨 they throw soccer kicks to the head of a grounded opponent
@@bird_up gsp vs sera 2 was brutal for grounded body shots.
I love the ground strike game to the body. Khalil does it as well as GSP/Yoel. Just viscous.

@@johngotti3487 ya but we’re talking about body kicks to grounded opponents. Do miss wandy stomping on dudes in pride tho
Khalil rountree is like the Michael Johnson of the light heavyweight division
this is extremely accurate
Haven’t heard a better take lmaoo
😂😂
Much better! He should go down to middleweight though! That would be interesting!
@@imheretocausetrouble2156 he’s way too big bro. That’s another 20 lbs to cut. His chin will just deteriorate and he doesn’t need to fight smaller guys lmao for what?
Dude is so peaceful and cool outside of the octagon, but the way he finished Roberson so viciously last time can't be overlooked. Literally like chum to a shark. Once he hits his stride, he's gonna be a huge problem.
I always said the dude was like an anti-Sean Strickland. Legit fights the way Strickland talks and talks the way Strickland fights.
Once he gets his grappling down he'll be a serious problem, his style remids me of OG pride fighters like Shogun
@@clearlyalunhead1109he won't tho.
Definitely the Mike Tyson of MMA who can kick like a mule
@@imheretocausetrouble2156 fuck outta here
The way he was swinging on Karl Roberson you'd think he'd murdered Khalil's entire family! I desperately want to see Khalil go on one decent title run before he calls it a career. I also love the attention and awareness he brings to mental health.
Lol the entire family
He has so much potential just needs to work on wrestling and grappling like Francis, his power reminds me of Rumble
he retired?
@@fkz4155 no?
bro will never be champ, bullies smaller weaker fighters, prolly losing his next fight, come back to this comment when he does
Whose hear after hearing he’s getting a title shot vs pereira
rountree isn’t a walkover but i think pereira will beat him.
💃
Pereira will feast on this guy's openings.
He is quite powerful bt i still see alex catching hik
You mean, who else did UA-cam recommend this to after the fight was announced.
He throws like a man who had depression for years (I know he did actually)
And when the takedown comes he is like a fish out of water
@@leoX11 who cares
@@PullThatUpJamie his chin cares
FACT bro. He's been through hell and back a few times, you can tell
He did go through depression... he was fat and got into shape through martial arts...
Honestly this guy scares me to the level of guys like Rampage and Ngannou once you've been knocked down he gonna break 15 consecutive bones in your body
That push kick to the knee was dirty even though its legal
@@TheArccoreyea I hate that move so much but it's definitely effective and create space.
he reminds me of melvin manhoef
@@wgamer85 thats a good call. tell me your and old head without telling me haha
They never failed a drug test like round tree tho
idk why more fighters dont utilize that body kick to grounded fighters like rountree does, its so devastating and catches recovering fighters off guard
yeah it's weird, people barely even knee the body on the ground
I think it’s because the margain for error is so small, if the move and you catch anything near their head you’re getting DQ’ed
@@Ad.44.. truee
also its extremely easy to hurt a regular person very bad doing this. knowing limits sometimes lets you do more damage to those who can take it

Insane how he's the only fighter in the ufc utilizing body kicks to a downed opponent. Scary effective
He’s basically the new Melvin Manhoef your best chance of winning is to just take him to the ground 😂
@julian marx it’s mma everyone gets knocked out if cracked right 😂
@@hankm16he is fighting alex pereira now ufc 307
By far one of the most vicious fighters in the UFC roster. He has insane power in his hands and legs, if he cracks you clean you’re getting seriously hurt. When he hurts you, he goes for the finish with absolute fury, just completely overwhelms his opponents with power shots. One of the few fighters to realise how possible it is to finish a fight on the feet without head-hunting. His body kicks/knees, leg kicks and stomps are brutal to watch and so effective. He’s an animal
Stop, his records blows
@@stephengrunden4830 true, that’s because his grappling isn’t good. Still, he’s a good fighter
I think he'd actually give us entertaining fight against Pereira
@@youwantmyname9208 we're getting him vs. Jamahal now, this should be entertaining

Dude has some of the most savage finishes in ufc history and is also really dope person. One of the few guys I root for no matter who he is fighting.
That fight against Anders was one of the best performances I've ever seen from any fighter. He went on a striking clinic in that fight. And Anders is a tough guy. The fact that he reached the final bell in that fight was a feat in itself.
Damn yeah that was crazy as fuck
he looked like he was throwing combos at 2x speed. Insane!
That fight should havé been stopped.
Referee are blind in thé ufc and team Never throw the towel
Always felt like body shots arent used enough. Khalil is one of those guys who really do dig in to the body.
Ngl I always felt like body shots weren’t that effective until I actually started training, holy shit man
Jack Della Maddalena's another guy with really solid body work, nothing as ruthless as Khalil's kicks but still
@@ThePlaybackRoom Still recall getting hit with a spinning backkick to the gut. Legit thought my insides fell out my asshole. Hurt so god damn bad.
@@ThePlaybackRoom I’ll never forget my first shot to the liver. I was stunned.

Imagine Rountree vs Wanderlei in Pride
He has the Wanderlei Silva tattoo on his rib
Whos here after ufc anounced Alex vs Khalil
😂Had to see what type of fighter he is frr
Have to know how much will i bet on him😂
Rountree is a great fighter but that was a real POS move caving that dudes knee in. That isn’t merely a nasty finish, he could have destroyed that man’s entire fighting career and for what?
Easily one of my favorite fighters to watch. Speed+power+well executed technical combos. Dudes a monster. Win or lose you know you can't miss a Khalil rountree fight.
He’s such a nice guy but so ruthless in the cage, it’s legitimately two different people. So underrated.
Its the same guy. Some of the nicest people are the ones who have been through some really rough shit. The octagon gives him an outlet to let the inner beast out
Opposite of Strickland
Khalil has one of the best killer instincts out there, when he hurts someone he doesn’t let them off the hook and just goes on a all out rampage.
Alex Pereira will win but Bangkok Ready Muy Thai vs Chama Kickboxing will be awesome
3:45 That's gotta be the most devastating sidekick to the knee I've seen. And ppl say Jon was mean with it...
Khalil makes a great hammer but he is a terrible nail… when he’s on he’s on but wilts when there is resistance
Anyone else came here to discover who this guy is before the Poatan fight?
Ive known tortoises better off their back
😂😂😂 Fucking disrespect
At 1:53 about he drops a world class kickboxer, K-1, Glory kickboxing, etc in Gokhan Saki, not a take down but a clean punch and hammer fists after.
Here after Pereira fight announcement
Khalil is a Scary fighter but what I noticed from his fights is when he goes up against taller opponents like Walker or elite grapplers/wrestlers he just goes windows xp. Basically any fighting style that closing in on him and prevents him from range advantage, he is cooked.
Anybody here after pereira fight announced?
😁
Love his growth from his time entrenched in Muay Thai, that Anders fight was when I really noticed how much he’d improved. He looked like an entirely different fighter on the feet
I thought he was gonna break Anders leg. I think that might have been the same night as Gastelum and Adesanya
Doesn't win the big fights.
I hope soccer kicks to body of grounded opponent is used more often, I think Rountree is only one in UFC who uses it well
Quem veio ver por causa do poatan ❤
Imagine Khalil vs Thiago Santos. That is if Thiago fights like the monster we knew and loved.
thiago kills him
@@wildberry752 Maybe. They both have the ability and skills to 'kill' their opponent.
i really wish that was thiagos last fight. hill vs santos was great but rountree would have been fireworks
Santos would just shoot takedowns and dominate. He can’t hang with rountree on the feet.
@@bigsmall2842 I was thinking about the Santos that fought Manuwa. Thiago is explosive on the feet too. That's why it would be a fun fight.
I love Khalil. Great to watch fight, relatable with his struggles, and just the pure, unrestrained ferocity with which he decimates people is a sight to behold. There's no-one else like him in the UFC and we're lucky we get to watch him do his thing.
I remember watching the Muay thai clinic he put on Eryk Anders and thinking he was forsure the next big thing at 205. I mean I guess he still can be, but he looked unbeatable on that night
3:11 I love the advice “breathe breathe breathe” while in a fully locked choke. I mean it was over the jaw but anyone who has been there knows it really doesn’t matter. 😂
When he's on, he's fucking deadly.
This dude beats you like you owe him money
0:12 He’s beating that fool like he owes him some money 🤣
😹😹😹
That’s not even a fight that’s a mugging lmao
chama.
The moment the opponent goes down he starts carefully calculating his shots and throwing them with full force. Insane
He's the black version of Josh emett 😂
I love Rountree. I'll always root for the dude because he's vicious in the octagon but seems chill as hell outside of it. Plus body kicks to a grounded opponent are other levels of brutal.
2:13 that is the NASTIEST elbow I've ever seen
It’s like it wasn’t even that scary looking, like a Muay Thai elbow or something or Jon jones spinning BUT it was so fucking flush and heavy lol def a nasty, nasty elbow.
Khalil Fights has some serious power, he Fights with a ferociousness!
dude that stomp into the side of the knee, i had to check my shit real quick. FUCK that made me cringe
I’ve seen that highlight of walker smashing that dudes head like a melon with those forearm shots a hundred times and never realized it was Roundtree. One of the more brutal KOs I’ve ever seen. It was weirdly intimate and sounded like his skull fractured.
Love that you included the losses as well and not all fluffing, great edit
Alex by 1st rd ko
So what I’m getting is he’s the successor to Michael Johnson?
I’ve commented it on every video I see it show up. That elbow from Walker is arguably the cleanest single strike I’ve ever seen. I’m no mma expert, only been watching since the 2010’s or so, but I have never heard an elbow sound like that before or after…
Bruh had roundtree doing the dead man pose on the canvas too
If he tries to exchange like that with Poatan he is gonna get slept
god damn early UFC johnny walker was scary
Khalil really ended Saki´s MMA carreer...
Only loss that wasn’t sad was against Johnny walker he the goat 🐐
I've known Khalil since high school and have been in a few fights with him. Even back before he started training mma he was still ferocious, but has always been a cool dude.
cool story bro...🤣
I don’t care how many times he lost that man is dangerous
the sound that johnny walkers elbow made😱
Dude's killer instinct is second to none. Those grounded body kicks are vicious!
I’ve actually never notice how fuckin fast his hands are holy shit.
The way he fights is so intimidating.
When this guy is on, he's scary to watch. Underrated fighter.
He'll send Hill back to the contender series
The dudes hammer fists look like something out of a movie 😂
rountree vs potan would be ridiculous
Video idea: cool moments that aren’t finishes in fights
Ex: Crazy scrambles in Tsarukyan v Gamrot. Corey’s left hook combo on Tj
that boy is Vicious but when he the one taking the damages seem to kinda quit
he’s like a mini francis
They have a lot of knockout power, but they have no affinity for ground fighting, making them easy prey.
They also seem unable to absorb blows very well.
In short: They are Power Strikers.
If this guy was competent at defensive wrestling and clinching he would be the most feared fighter along with Francis ngannou , that man is comparable with Mike Tyson for brutalness , great stuff , long may it continue , has the kill instinct of a leopard
Khalil might get slept by poatan
Win or lose he’s one of my favorite, was exciting on his tuf season
2:10. Roundtree vs Walker.
6'1" and 6'6" yet both weighed 205lb.
Leverage and perspective vs raw power.
Love those body kicks when on ground lol.
His personality is just so trash tho lool
That Saki one always breaks my heart 😭
Shut your Turkish lips
RoundTree is vicious but i predict he goes out just like Jahmal hill ...scared to engage and gets Floored round 2
He is ruthless
He beats people like they’ve owed him money for years and been avoiding his calls and not answering their front door lol
And new, rountree by ko against Alex
😂😂😂 that’s funny, this sack of burnt potato getting slept
The sound that elbow from Johnny made was disgusting
his ground body kicks are brutal af
