Thank you for the explanation under each fight, i don't watch MMA so some for me might be confusing
Update for Sean Strickland: Walks down champion kickboxer, only strikes, no takedowns - takes the belt
what a confusing timeline we live in
Alex still humiliates him
To be fair, Strickland improved so much between those fights. His footwork was straight dog shit when he fought Pereira

The “Hello Japan” one is absolute gold. I laugh every time I see it. 😂

7:30 - Chael with one of the most technical moves ever seen in ufc history. He rolled onto his back and used his face to viciously beat up the fists of his opponent.
Just pure brilliance

The most funny thing about Yans knee - it was approved by his corner. He asked "knee?" and they said "yes". Lmao. Team work.
I know, that's it too late, but, if I remember correctly, guys in his corner were shouting something like "what are you looking for", like he should do something, and then he decided to use knee by himself
That wasn't what I heard, apparently his Russian cornermen said "Knee him" while his English speaking cornermen warned him that Sterling was grounded so "Punches only". I guess he got confused and with Russian being his first language, he threw the knee first. You can actually hear his corner say "Just punch" in the video.
@@nicholascoob1350 there is another pov, where guys in corner sounds better, and russian guy was shouting like "what are you looking for?" and "hit him" there was no command to throw that knee, so it was only fighter blunder
@@nicholascoob1350 the Russian one was shouting "давай, давай его", which is roughly just "come on, come on", while the English one said "punch, just punch". Then, apparently, Yan asked "knee", and the Russian one responded something sounding like "knee", or rather "пни его", which is "kick him". This last part is barely heard, thanks to commentators' voice.

the ryan hall loss was very satisfying. his fanbase and joe rogan made him seem like the second coming jesus
Seriously lpl his fans said the top 5 were ducking him when his only ranked win at the time was like a 13th ranked Darren Elkins lmao

they definitely is some reason for it
@@ronmka8931 the reason is as dumb as the rule itself
@@ronmka8931 caving a dudes face in with a flying knee is fine but 12 to 6 just too dangerous lol
It was put into place due to people with influence in the commission, that saw karate people breaking bricks with their elbow, and thus deemed it too dangerous.
@@ronmka8931 The reasoning comes from non-fighters, and it came back when the UFC didn't have weight classes, so those elbows would be very destructive if a heavyweight did it to a much smaller opponent. They also didn't like the elbows to the back of the head. The rule should've vanished when strikes to the back of the head became illegal, and weight classes were added.
