      @ntern2162 5 місяців тому +7

      I know, that's it too late, but, if I remember correctly, guys in his corner were shouting something like "what are you looking for", like he should do something, and then he decided to use knee by himself

    • @nicholascoob1350
      @nicholascoob1350 4 місяці тому +23

      That wasn't what I heard, apparently his Russian cornermen said "Knee him" while his English speaking cornermen warned him that Sterling was grounded so "Punches only". I guess he got confused and with Russian being his first language, he threw the knee first. You can actually hear his corner say "Just punch" in the video.

      @@nicholascoob1350 there is another pov, where guys in corner sounds better, and russian guy was shouting like "what are you looking for?" and "hit him" there was no command to throw that knee, so it was only fighter blunder

      @@nicholascoob1350 the Russian one was shouting "давай, давай его", which is roughly just "come on, come on", while the English one said "punch, just punch". Then, apparently, Yan asked "knee", and the Russian one responded something sounding like "knee", or rather "пни его", which is "kick him". @@samplename8721 putting weight on a broken hand and striking with a broken hand are two different things. Both would hurt, but striking would hurt more and is more likely to further damage the injury.
      Of course he could have made it all up, I dont know what his after fight doctors visit showed.

    It's always funny to me how Joe Rogan was dickriding Ryan Hall during the whole fight without saying anything about Topuria

    Being a commentator is a super hard job and normally I don't like speaking ill about the guys who do it because I could never, but man it's the first time I've seen that Hall v Topuria fight since I saw it live and Joe is outta his mind lol

    I would say the most common low fight IQ moments that even great fighters do is giving up position for something like a guillotine. I've never seen that work in the top rankings yet it still happens from time to time.

    Special mention: a gassed Valentina Shevchenko throwing a spinning kick at boxing range while against the cage against Alexa Grasso, immediately getting taken down and submitted to end one of the most dominant title reigns in MMA history

    Joe Rogan being just wildly wrong about a fight.
    Fail Sonnen failing.
    A Diaz brother doing something stupid.
