He proved me and everyone in the ufc fighters and fans wrong i didn’t think he had a chance but those first 2 rounds were crazy and it made me a fan of him since that fight he’s proved he can beat anyone in that division
There's a clip of Khalil training in Thailand, with Samart and Dieselnoi (considered the two truly GOATs of Muay Thai) looking at his kick technique nodding and smiling because it was absolutely perfect. Looking forward to see his with the belt.
if u watch closely he kicks their body when they are grounded which is legal, it’s illegal to kick a grounded opponent in the face/head when he is grounded
Me and Khalil... we aren't so different. The only difference is that the squared circle was calling my name and not the Octagon. Only... my city ONLY has an MMA gym. Stage 2 is slowly starting for me. No more I can't... always I should, until I am.

Now I AM in stage 4. I’m different now. Words can’t express my gratitude. All I can say is thank you, you’ve changed my life🙏

Thanks for sharing this I’ve been wanting to get back into training I’ve been smokin weed for 30 years eating junk and being lazy it’s time to get back on the horse!
Absolute beautiful video, always cheering from a far since the start of this channel and will always emphasize this is the best psychology channel on UA-cam. Never give up this channel and continue to produce the gem 💎videos!
May the Almighty increase your knowledge and wisdom and may you always be grateful to yourself since alot of people are touched by you❤ I'll always pray for you since you are a human and you may go through alot❤
You’re so underrated man. One tip I have is to broaden your videos to other sports it will 100% blow up your channel. I know MMA connects with people but the fan base is way smaller compared to basketball. If you connect with more people throught sports with larger fan bases your channel will blow up
Thank you so much for the kind words and advice! I think you're right, but basketball might be a big jump. Haha I don't really know the first thing about basketball to be honest.. But I think expanding to boxing, jiu jitsu, and other combat sports would be a step in the right direction and then maybe it evolves into something else. Appreciate the thought!
If stage 3 is akin to mistaking yourself for the person you were in the past, stage 4 is about accepting who you are in the present but also one more thing: that you already are who you will be in the future. A big part of stage 4 is recognizing that you are already the type of person who will for sure accomplish the goals you set out to do. Just as child imagines an animal and sculpts playdoh to look like it, if you can imagine your future goal + your future self you won't get so bogged down with the limitations of the present. That's the point of visualization; to imagine the future so clearly so as to be able to will it into being. Human beings are creative; everything you see around you aside from nature was someone's imagination at some point. So imagine yourself as having everything you've ever wanted and work backwards from there.
Phenomenal content brother. well written and even better put together. great mix of b-roll and stock. editor note - not sure if you used a different mic/system for the outro shot of yourself at the end but it sounds like it was left on mono. note for next time :)
Thank you brother. Very proud of this one, and happy it was received so well. Yes, I'm trying to put myself in the videos a bit more, but I borrowed my friends podcasting studio and had a different mic. Are you in videography?

Thanks again 🙏

Awesome video! It comes at a perfect time for me because I’m going through a work transition and I keep second-guessing myself. I literally played this on the drive this morning and it’s helping me reframe my negative self-talk. Thanks for putting out the great content!

Hey can you do a psychological analysis on the alter ego of athletes like Mike Tyson to “Iron Mike”, Jon Jones to “Jon Bones Jones”, or Kobe Bryant to “Black Mamba”
Hmmm that's an interesting one, I think it's been done before though . I do think Mike Tyson is super interesting though, would you be interested in expanding to boxing?
@@PsychologyOfTheFight I’m aware it’s been done before but the explaining and editing on this channel is amazing to me in my opinion as an athlete trying to learn from more athletes based on their mentality’s and how they handle things. I believe Mike Tyson would be very interesting as he adapted to his alter ego once before he became the philosopher he is today. Although this is an MMA channel it could be interesting to expand to boxing or more simply because of the way you analyze and explain how the mind work.🔥
One of your best videos yet! JD keeps getting better - so excited for the one on Topuria I knew you’d zero in on his psychology. One question - do you think getting from level 3 to level 4 self talk and embracing your new/idolized identity is simply about speaking it into existence enough times? Like brainwashing yourself? Or is there something more to it. This reminds me of a famous broadcast by earl nightingale - the strangest secret! Wonder your thoughts JD, and again what a fantastic video really liked some of the more classical music as well.
Hey Justin, thank you for stopping by and supporting again. Appreciate you a ton! Topuria is legit so interesting, I'm making multiple videos on him, and can't wait to release em. Yes. Just as your beliefs create your thoughts, your thoughts create your beliefs. In my opinion, it's all about repetition and catching yourself when you slip into negative thought patterns. It's called "cognitive restructuring," replacing a negative thought with 3 or more positive ones that you're trying to wire in. In my own life, I found it helpful to catch myself when I would take the action I was trying to program and give myself props. It helped me solidify it with proof.
