I remember a friend recommending me some game called Mass Effect back in the day and telling me how great it is. I was sceptical at first but, man, as soon as I started this game, I loved it! And I'm still playing it. So many different ways to play this game.
This trilogy changes lives! You would be doing yourself a huge disservice if you choose to pass it up! I’m not Commander Shepard and this is the best channel on the Citadel!
I love Legendary Edition so much! Andromeda was my introduction to the series and since I didn’t knew where the franchise came from, my experience with Andromeda wasn’t as bad as it was for ME fans. I actually quite liked the game, but I love that I’m able to easily play the ME trilogy now with the Legendary Edition and it’s amazing. I just hope that the Dragon Age trilogy will get the same Legendary treatment soon
Skimmed through this video to see if you covered the mods cause I think that's a big plus for getting the Legendary Edition on PC as opposed to a console, may not have been a big focus but I'm glad you did, cause I think that's a good inclusion for Mass Effect fans who may not have gotten the remaster yet :3 Project Variety might be my most favorite mod (followed closely by AHEM & Citadel Epilogue Mod) for the entire remastered trilogy, it may not be completely lore friendly, but Scottina did an amazing job on PV
I need to show this vid to my coworkers. They have been subjected to my unending hype about how Mass Effect is such a great game series... Time to show them some hard evidence.
Awesome video MrHulten! I hope this video gets reccomended by youtube to people who didn't play Mass Effect franchise before, so that the fan base expands:) P.s. 5:47 is the most attractive male Shepard I've ever seen!
I've just created my 1st character for this 1st play through. I never played any mass effect game before. I'm starting as Kano Shepard Infiltrator. I love rpg's and I love space themes. This game is very highly praised. I hope I am not disappointed.
Hoping to reward myself later this year for finishing my degree - gonna pick up a steam deck & several comfy games to play on it, I plan on playing this then!
As a big fan of medieval games, when my friends showed me the first Mass Effect in 2009, I wasn't very excited about it. Futuristic games were not my thing back then, but I decided to give it a chance... It never crossed my mind that I would fall deeply in love with this game, but I did. And I played ME2 and 3 right after they were released... I played the originals on pc several times, on ps3 and the Legendary on ps4 and ps5... And my answer to your question will always be YES. I'm gonna play ME forever, it is my favorite game of all times and always will be. Thank you for this video, MrHulthen! As soon as I finish Inquisition, I'm back to ME🤣
I always wondered about the Mass Effect series. I always heard about it back then and people saying how amazing it was, and remember people going on about the ending to the 3rd game, which I have no idea what happens, but I didn't ever feel obligated to get into it. Now over 10 years later, I just started playing the first game, and I seriously regret never getting into it before. I haven't even started the 2nd game yet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.
I just got to the citadel and I’m honestly blown away by how detailed and engaging the world is. Combat is a little jank but everything else is very fun.
I'm in the middle of a playthrough right now, gonna do a renegade run later. Mostly because I don't know if the next ME game will have imported saves, if yes I'll have saves ready to go and if not, then I just replayed a fantastic trilogy. Nowadays I get my kicks from watching first time blind playthrous of the trilogy on youtube.
I played ME2 back when it first came out. Then I stopped in the middle, played the first and then the second again. And ME3 aged like fine wine as well; however, ME2 has a special place in my heart. I think it is the best of the trilogy, and Legendary Edition made the series.... well... LEGENDARY. If you haven't played them yet, start with the first, keep your saves and enjoy the ride. Wish I could forget anything about this trilogy and play it for the first time again and again.
I've played BOTH the originals, and the Remastered edition. THIS, is a LEGENDARY game, taking place in a MUCH WIDER UNIVERSE, than just a quick little tweak to dialogue.
I just downloaded the legendary edition and man...I know they tinkered with it a little bit, but i forgot just how good ME1 was. Absolute perfect beginning for the soon to be tour de force, ME2. Cant wait to finish it up for the first time in over a decade. The best trilogy ever.
Last year was the first time I played Kotor, and then tried to find a game similar to it. Low and behold ME, which I knew of before, but I was never too much into sci-fi stuff anyways if it was not Star Wars related. Too bad I can't play it for the first time again, BioWare was in a league of its own in those days (ME Trilogy and Dragon Age Origins especially)
Currently halfway through my most recent play through! I discovered this game as a teenager by accident when I found the disc for ME2 inside the case of another game I bought used at GameStop😂. It was the will of the gods that I discovered this franchise, and I will always be thankful for it. ❤
Awesome story. Knights of the Old Republic was my first game I actually fell into. I won an original Xbox on a radio station contest and it came with a tennis game. I went to GameStop and the employee asked me about my favorite movies. I said Star Wars and the rest is history 👍😜😂🤓
Hahahaha i love these two stories in which the saga was discovered by accident! In my case, I had gone to my local game store looking to buy I don’t know which game for PS3, but they had run out of stock. I was sad, but didn’t want to leave the store empty handed, so I started to look around the shelves. I saw ME2, grabbed it out of curiosity because the cover had some kind of Star Wars vibe. I bought it at a discount for around 25bucks. The rest is history. I bought the whole saga for PS3, PC, PS4, and now buying it again for PS5 lollllll
Playing the legendary edition was a great trip down memory lane. Though the games where a bit buggy at times (ai glitching out and managed to softlock the game a couple of times) Performance on base ps4 was pretty hourendous at times, even on performance mode. Playing on ps5 fixed that, but still. Didnt expect it. All the gripes aside, I still recommend this game to old and new fans!
This game is absolutely stunning for someone who has never played this game before and loves sci-fi and space. Don't hesitate to play it. I bought it with only a few boxes and I gotta say it's the most worthy money that I have ever spent.
I just bought the mass effect trilogy on sale at steam for $9. I had heard the name somewhere so bought it, its installing now and from the comments here, I might of just bought one of the best series ever! I knew nothing about it really, but Im kinda excited now.
. @dempseysquires5191 Im maybe? about half way into the 2nd game now and the game is amazing!, one of those rare occasions where I went into a game not knowing what to expect and realising a few hours into the game Ive bought a masterpiece. Shadow of war (about 3 years ago) was the last time I bought a game on sale that blew me away knowing basically nothing about it
@@TheNomad2727 yes, Mordor shadow of war brilliant game, the nemesis system 2nd to none and mass effects. I will go as far to say is one of if not the best games I’ve played period
I have never played them properly but just got the legendary edition and started it today. I do remember messing about in the Mako on my mated 360 12 billion years ago. I am very impressed with how nice the remaster looks and I can't wait to experience all the good stuff people have to say about these games.
This version has some weird bugs the originals didn't have like one where your Shepard gets locked in a direction and walking "sideways" not actually in the direction you're moving. Happened to me quite some times in the original Mass Effect and ME2. The other is in ME2 after you beat the main mission and try a second romance option, the screen go totally black instead of the love cutscene with the game still running. You can even bring the start menu, save and load. But yeah, a glitch that didn't happen in the origina version.
If you have never played the ME trilogy and loved " The Expanse ", you will surely become fans of the series. It seems to me that I forgot to mention another incredible artist who participated in ME, she is Ivonne Strahovski 🥰
Andromeda was alright until i got a scene with as krogan that sounded like he picked glowers for a living. Krogan are supposed to be tanks, yet the one in andromeda makes it seem like the genophage was the only thing keeping the krogan straight
I remember playing my first 3rd person rpg set in a scifi fantasy universe; SWKOTOR, on the original xbox. I fell in love with the way the game played, the choices effecting your outcomes, and the whole alignment systems. This set me off on a life quest to find games like it, and in that search I found Mass Effect. Once again, I immediately fell in love, and once again, I set out to find a game like that again. I just recently got into playing Andromeda and I'm not impressed with the story like I was with 2 & 3, but the gameplay feels spectacular and the story is enough to captivate me and enthrall me into playing more to find out more. I was watching andromeda videos earlier and was reminded of the Legendary Edition coming out and immediately started looking for it on the PS Store. I had already purchased it. That's the impact these games have on people. They're masterpieces, no doubt about it.
I'm unable to on my PC. The EA app says I don't have permission to access the game, even though it's installed through the app. I tried running the app under administrator permissions, but to no avail. The EA app needs to go. EA needs to keep their games on Steam & let it be that.
I just got the legendary edition on PlayStation for £4.99. Downloading now never played Mass Effect and no nothing whatsoever about it. Hope it’s as good as people say.
I knew that there was this trilogy, I remember how in 2009 my brother played the second part, how he allowed me to choose the color of armor. Then I remembered ME in the year 2018 or 2019, I played the first part, but I had a terrible laptop, I tearfully deleted the second part of the game I had just downloaded, because it didn't work well and crashed. And for the third time I thought about it again in the winter of 2021 with a normal PC and it just changed everything. I have a principle that the first passage of any game should be played without mods, cheats and other additions that change something in the game. At the end of the first playthrough of the trilogy, I was crying like never before in my life. I had a week of depression. A week later, I started the second walkthrough of the game, played with the Happy Ending Mod and a couple more on eye graphics and clothes. It was the first time I ever put mods on a game. The third time there are already much more mods, 10 for each part, I played a year later, since I played Andromeda (I liked it). I accepted the ending to the destruction of the Reapers as my favorite, even though there is a mod for a happy ending, but I felt like it wasn't real (it sounds weird, I know). Now I'm going through the game for the fourth time and I still don't understand how my laptop didn't explode, because I have 20+ mods for each part, starting from the mod for fixing black squares on Noveria or Ilos (because AMD) and for not shaking the camera when running (because I was seasick), ending with big mods, such as patches, EGM, ALOT, Project Variety, a mod for Anderson's extended dialogue, a mod for flirting and additional romantic relationships, and a bunch of other interesting things Friends, you have no fucking idea how much I love the Mass Effect, how glad I am that my laptop allows me to play it quietly for hours, I have a huge amount of knowledge, I got five people hooked on this game. This game was the very last part, coupled with a love of Star Trek, Avatar, and space in general, so that I decided to become an astrophysicist in the future :D And I want to thank you MrHulthen for the most up-to-date news, I remember how after the first passage of the trilogy in early 2022, I was in tears and had a terrible headache (I fully understood Kaidan) at first I watched the teaser of the new part 10 times (I still think about it once a month and review it), and completely inspired I found your channel and watched all the videos in a few hours lmao. I adore you ❤
Funny enough I've just started a full playthrough of Mass Effect LE with some great mods added. It was great seeing this video as I have covid at the moment and felt too rough to continue my game. This cheered me up a bit :)
I still haven’t experienced this trilogy yet . But I have told myself , that once I finish a few of the games I’m playing I’m gonna take the time to play through these , especially since I am a huge fan of anything space oriented .
I just started my 1st ever ME LE playthrough. Kano Shepard Infiltrator and I just convinced the council to make me a spectre 💪. This is going to be fun
First time playing this game trilogy and so far it’s been great. Sometimes the story is hard to follow because I don’t know what to do next on the next mission and I have to go into settings journal
My first mass effect game I played was andromeda when it came out and was instantly one of my favorite games of all time, just finishing up my first playthrough of the LE trilogy and damn is it a freaking masterpiece. ME2 is the best game I've ever played, Never has a video game left me so heartbroken when characters die, and so suddenly.
The big problem with ME is also what makes it good. Shepard and his/her story is mostly made by the player, background, gender, behaviour, choices, it's been decided by the player, it is extremely satisfying, but it also means that it is not canon, and it won't effect the sequels.
I still love Mass Effect to this day! Some of the scenes really hit me hard emotionally and make me sad or laugh and I just love the overall story and think it's good that Bioware has made it's own space game series :D
To the handful of fellow home theatre enthusiasts who game, as of January 15th 2024, the first Mass Effect contained in this trilogy, on PC, still doesn't support surround sound without community mods and patches, which can be simple enough to implement, but it would be nice if it was fixed officially. That being said, still my favourite RPG of all-time. Highly recommended. :)
Because I was playing it all along 2022, and just can’t stop. I’m addicted:) When the wife steps out for an hour, other men watch porn. I load a loyalty mission:D
I loved Mass Effect 1 and 2 but I felt like Mass Effect 3 was insanely short without playing the dlc and none of my choices in other games mattered in the end.
@@ademirc5937 I respect that take but I just don’t like that with all the choices you make throughout the 3 games, your campaign will just end 1 of 3 ways with an alternate of do your friends die or not. I still very much loved the game though and Mass Effect will always be a classic

I gave Mass Effect my heart. Mass Effect gave me the universe.
I've been playing these games like a cultist at least once annually. I couldn't agree more with this video:)
Skimmed through this video to see if you covered the mods cause I think that's a big plus for getting the Legendary Edition on PC as opposed to a console, may not have been a big focus but I'm glad you did, cause I think that's a good inclusion for Mass Effect fans who may not have gotten the remaster yet :3
Project Variety might be my most favorite mod (followed closely by AHEM & Citadel Epilogue Mod) for the entire remastered trilogy, it may not be completely lore friendly, but Scottina did an amazing job on PV
Best trilogy ever made 100% Tacoapproved
Loved the video. And now I am starting a new play through for the ME 2 series. Keep up the good work! ❤
Never played one minute of this series so recently bought the Legendary trilogy for only $8.99. On the PlayStation Store. What a steal.
I still play this game all the time it just doesn't get old
I need to show this vid to my coworkers. They have been subjected to my unending hype about how Mass Effect is such a great game series... Time to show them some hard evidence.
Do it! The end goal is Mass Effect world dominance!
Awesome video MrHulten! I hope this video gets reccomended by youtube to people who didn't play Mass Effect franchise before, so that the fan base expands:)
How was it? Downloading it now. I never played them too
Disappointed ? Hahaha.
One of few RPGs that ive beat more than once. Just downloaded the triology. Its gotta be over 10 hears since i have beat it. Nostalgia overload.
Mass Effect LE was my first taste of ME
I was pestered by friends to play it. What an experience.
As soon as I finish Inquisition, I'm back to ME🤣
Mass effect legendary edition is currently on offer on steam for £14.99 until 13 April 23 and well worth it for all three.
Currently doing my third play through of LE, will never tire of this franchise
The Leaving Earth theme still hits different to all of you my brothers and sisters?
Playstation plus introduced me to the series last month and it turned out to be one of my favourite gaming experiences ever
Theory: Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was released so you could import your character into the upcoming Mass Effect 4
Hahaha brilliant
Never played this trilogy before. Currently on sale through Steam for 9.99. Definitely thinking of buying!
Playing the legendary edition was a great trip down memory lane.
Though the games where a bit buggy at times (ai glitching out and managed to softlock the game a couple of times)
Performance on base ps4 was pretty hourendous at times, even on performance mode.
Awesome series. Just did another play through before starting BG3
If you have never played the ME trilogy and loved " The Expanse ", you will surely become fans of the series. It seems to me that I forgot to mention another incredible artist who participated in ME, she is Ivonne Strahovski 🥰
Mass effect Andromeda is criminally underrated
Andromeda was alright until i got a scene with as krogan that sounded like he picked glowers for a living. Krogan are supposed to be tanks, yet the one in andromeda makes it seem like the genophage was the only thing keeping the krogan straight
I'm commander Shepard and this is my favorite trilogy of all games
From now on I shall direct potential newcomers to this video. Very well done!
On sale now!
You better stay on the ball MrHulthen, Dans Gaming has you in his sights
The map screen music still gives me chills
Now I'm going through the game for the fourth time and I still don't understand how my laptop didn't explode, because I have 20+ mods for each part, starting from the mod for fixing black squares on Noveria or Ilos (because AMD) and for not shaking the camera when running (because I was seasick), ending with big mods, such as patches, EGM, ALOT, Project Variety, a mod for Anderson's extended dialogue, a mod for flirting and additional romantic relationships, and a bunch of other interesting things
Friends, you have no fucking idea how much I love the Mass Effect, how glad I am that my laptop allows me to play it quietly for hours, I have a huge amount of knowledge, I got five people hooked on this game.
This game was the very last part, coupled with a love of Star Trek, Avatar, and space in general, so that I decided to become an astrophysicist in the future :D
And I want to thank you MrHulthen for the most up-to-date news, I remember how after the first passage of the trilogy in early 2022, I was in tears and had a terrible headache (I fully understood Kaidan) at first I watched the teaser of the new part 10 times (I still think about it once a month and review it), and completely inspired I found your channel and watched all the videos in a few hours lmao. I adore you ❤
Funny enough I've just started a full playthrough of Mass Effect LE with some great mods added. It was great seeing this video as I have covid at the moment and felt too rough to continue my game. This cheered me up a bit :)
please let EA/Bioware know that achievements on steam for ME2 & ME3 ARE BROKEN and it need Fixes
This! It's caused by the new EA-App. Unfortunately EA doens't allow you to use Origin anymore (everything was fine while Origin was active...).
Having another go this year on the ps5, played it on pc and Xbox one. Still an absolute blast.
I never played them, so I'm looking forward to finally play this
I still haven’t experienced this trilogy yet . But I have told myself , that once I finish a few of the games I’m playing I’m gonna take the time to play through these , especially since I am a huge fan of anything space oriented .
they really should add the MP to this...Andromedas MP is the most fun horde ever
Just started playing mass effect this week & I'm hooked I wished I played this when it was realised
I'm glad I missed it back then, I miss these style games and I'm glad this is my 1st playthru.
Same here it's my 1st play through. Finished 1 & 2 just started on 3 today.
2024 and... " Still totally worth it ".
I am commander Shepard, and this trilogy is the best of the Citadel.
Just bought Legendary Edition for 8 bucks!!
Nas
Only to remember, Mass Effect Legendary MUST be played in PC. The mods, man, really change everything!!
I've already platinumed all three games and explored the various romances and endings. If they had announced multiplayer I would've gotten this.
Playing it right now!❤️
I’ve finally decided to give this game a try since I couldn’t get my hands on it as a kid 17 years later now playing it pretty pumped to play
How is it going
The big problem with ME is also what makes it good. Shepard and his/her story is mostly made by the player, background, gender, behaviour, choices, it's been decided by the player, it is extremely satisfying, but it also means that it is not canon, and it won't effect the sequels.
I still love Mass Effect to this day! Some of the scenes really hit me hard emotionally and make me sad or laugh and I just love the overall story and think it's good that Bioware has made it's own space game series :D
I got it on New Years’ Eve for free on PS+ and have played through it 3 times already. Cannot get enough.
Just finished yesterday. My Top 3 favorite series of all time.
It’s worth playing any year in any era. I’m currently through my first play through of the trilogy and am in love with this universer
Because I was playing it all along 2022, and just can’t stop. I’m addicted:)
When the wife steps out for an hour, other men watch porn. I load a loyalty mission:D
I loved Mass Effect 1 and 2 but I felt like Mass Effect 3 was insanely short without playing the dlc and none of my choices in other games mattered in the end.
The entire Tuchanka and Rannoch arcs and the fates of multiple characters (large and small) are dependant on your choices.
@@ademirc5937 I respect that take but I just don’t like that with all the choices you make throughout the 3 games, your campaign will just end 1 of 3 ways with an alternate of do your friends die or not. I still very much loved the game though and Mass Effect will always be a classic
Thanks For making this , Never played the series and just bought Mass effect legendary Edition
I played ME again after about 5 years and it is as fresh as the first time I played it years ago. Love the Ultimate Edition
Never played this and just got it in the Bioware Mega Collection on steam for just £17! on steam
Tis a unique mix of Star Wars, Star Trek and Lovecraft
Andromeda is the best game in mass effect i haven't played mass effect legendary yet but Andromeda is the best stories graphics not very good characters but overall everything that i wanted in a game
Currently downloading it since i got it free from ps+ and been sitting there. Been tired w my game rotation so i want to try smth new and based on the comments, it sounds great. Thanks for the vid ❤
You're in for a ride. I played through the saga forest time in 2013. Since then I played it many many times.
Legendary was my excuse to do a full Ashley romance which you kind of have to plan from the beginning.
If anyone decides to give it a go, they you should definitely play it on PC and install as many mods as they can. The experience is vastly improved
I’ve been playing it and man I can’t play anything else. Once I hit 2, I was in love but 3? Man I can’t break away, so much to do still. Crazy thing is I’ve had this game for over a year but dropped it after one. I had always planned on coming back to finish and I’m glad I’m doing that now
