  • Todays video is all things plantcore!!
    While it may be lesser known than cottagecore or goblincore which have many of the same key points, I love the focus on shades of green in particular and had a ton of fun coming up with all the projects!
    If you'd like to see what happens with the 3rd project of this video or want to keep updated with future content you can go see the new instagram for this channel! / jordan_marie_c

    Great video! I love your content! FYI calendula does NOT come from marigolds. It is sometimes called “pot marigold” but they are very different plants all under the Asteraceae family. The edible calendula used in salves, oils, and balms is calendula officinalis. French marigolds and Mexican marigolds in garden edging are tagetes. It’s always important, when working with plants, to know the Latin names and classifications rather than going by the common names as they differ regionally.

      She didn't even use calendula. I HOPE she does not use this in anything edible or even on her skin... its pretty though

      @@xerrias nah, tagetes are safe, some species are even used as a herb in food and as a yellow food colorant. They do nothing for your skin, unlike calendula, but nothing bad should happen too.

    Hey, just wondering: were the leaves on the marigold you used rounded or jagged (kinda toothy looking)? Calendula and tagetes are both called marigolds, but the tagetes causes mild stomach irritation when consumed.

    • @jordanmariec
      @jordanmariec  2 роки тому +3

      They are rounded but them being dry makes them appear a bit uneven I think! It is definitely something to look out for though! Flowers are seriously so easy to miss identify!

    • @ashleysovilla2037
      @ashleysovilla2037 2 роки тому +1

      They definitely looked like tagetes to me. Not calendula officinalis.
