I love dark rainy days especially in the summer, instead of the hot and muggy endless summer days some of us experience. Thanks for your lovely videos.
It's really peaceful watching the aesthetic cinematography you have represented here. Life is so beautiful when we are detached from the monotonous activities of our regular busy life.
I love this, I myself come from black metal and this melancholy, darkness and cold really soothens my soul. Once went to art exhibition on this, and they talked about how the darkness was so uninviting and fearful etc, but it is completely opposite for us melancholic souls. It is where we find peace.
Everytime when I feel overwhelmed, I watch your videos to keep my head cool.Your voice and music make me feel energized and more calm after a long day. Thanks for your amazing work n keep going!!💓💓💓
This was a visual poem. I wish the feeling of it could be captured in a bottle to let loose on these oppressively humid days we're having. Blessings from Lisa in the U.S.
Yes, I agree totally with what you have said, things that we don't like is not always bad, because things that may bring sadness or pain at the beginning, it could bring happiness and prosperity at the end. Air becomes pure due to rainfall
I also love dark rainy days, when you can be all snuggly inside the home. I have trouble coping with very hot weather, and so does my black rescue greyhound, Madge. So we have been much happier lately in West Devon, England, as it has been raining a lot! I loved seeing you sitting so near to the beautiful deer, such a wonderful experience for you. Thank you for this lovely calm video. Love from Jilly & Madge the rescue greyhound. xxx
I like cloudy rainy days in the summer, as being a red head (the colour has very much faded now as I've got older) I then don't need to worry about sunburn or having to cover myself in suncream.
I was a goth in my teenage years too! I loved disappearing into my heavy music, black clothes and being very aware of melancholic feelings. Lovely video 🥰
Lovely video amazing scenes...i wish July was rainy here in Greece too ... I don't like so.. hot weather Spring and Autumn are prefect for me. Thank you for your video!
😊 Dark Academia, Cottagecore… I loved these aesthetics even before I knew they existed! 😅 I guess it's the Yin and Yang, two opposites embraced, each one containing a bit of the other. ☯ 😊That's why so many classically trained musicians love Heavy music, I guess (and also ABBA😉): it's a fact that one can go from Mozart to Metallica in a blink of an eye 😉 (Or from Mendelssohn to Manowar, for that matter!😅) At heart, the distance between a romantic symphony or an opera and hard rock is surprisingly short, and we know it! 🎻 ❤️ 🎸(I can totally picture your teenage gothic self listening to Nightwish, Within Temptation or Evanescence 😉). Indeed, light and darkness cannot exist without the other: the brightness of light can't be painted without the contrast of darkness surrounding it. Thank you for this beautiful and thought provoking video, so perfect for a rainy summer day, Daria! 👌👍👏👏👏😘
These aesthetics are simply just terms - I sometimes think they're a bit silly, but at the same time they help to describe the lifestyle or artistic choices we make, so I like them for the ease of expression. Haha and yes you named all the bands I listened to so much during my teens. I still do, but nowadays music isn't a form of self expression anymore as it was back then. I listen to different genres depending on my mood, so it's more varied now, from classical, to jazz, to 80s pop, to metal. Back then I'd never publicly talk about my secret passion for Abba. 😂
Whilst the beauty of dark academia has become almost synonymous with Autumn's glory. It flaunts the earthen hues, the trees are tinted in; the falling leaves that encapsulates the fragility of human existence. And thr darker tones that come around Halloween as the weather grows colder. I find myself craving the same familiar peace that dark academia comes with in the heat of summer. But on stormy days, nature opens its arms for my dark academia heart
What stunning scenery and the way you capture it is just beautiful! I was born during the Autumn Equinox and Fall is the time of year I feel most myself and truly happy. Give me alll the dark, gloomy days as leaves scrape along the ground and the air is crisp and cool. I'm very much hoping that Autumn arrives early this year 🍂
Ooh what a wonderful time to be born in! A truly stunning season! 🍂 I was born in the beginning of August, so I suppose I should like summer more, but I always liked autumn instead! 🙈 Also, it's about 6 weeks until autumn, so it will come soon!
You having been goth was what finally made me hit the subscribe button. I am a very old goth myself and listen to ABBA not so secretly.😂 Your videos are always so thoughtful and beautifully made, you use interesting angles or parts of the objects you film, and your voiceovers are like poems. I admire your work. Have a wonderful day and the sun in your heart!❤
All those beautiful deer sitting on the lawn of those who used to hunt them for sport. I hope that means that the majority of mankind is becoming more gentle ❤ :)
One thing I thought about a little too late and didn't mention in this video - about aesthetics, styles and subcultures. From my notes: "But isn’t it the same as ever - the subcultures that existed from mid 20th to early 21st Centuries, all the fashion styles of the past centures, or examples of architecture designed and build hundreds of years ago - just because people loved the embellishments or certain style? Like that house I showed you in the previous video, which was bought a typical Georgian manor but the owner added Gothic extensions to it… because he enjoyed them so much (and had the means to do it)." Were you ever a part of any subculture? And which aesthetic do you relate to the most? 🌿🎃😀
Greetings from Brazil, Daria! I just love your art, your sensitivity and expression about the balance of life and all this amazing atmosphere of the seasons and their colors. I truly delight and thank you for sharing this with us. It's so wonderful to see your videos and feel that feeling that I feel now.
Truly captivating! This countryside scenery is a perfect blend of relaxing coziness and enchanting beauty. It's like stepping into a magical world, where Cottage Core and Dark Academia vibes intertwine effortlessly! 🤎🖤✨🥹
I'm in Ireland, and we've been having the wild weather as well. It feels so autumnal, and I'm really struggling with not just diving into it. If I do, I will be sad at best when it inevitably turns back to summer, and I will be confused at worst. My body runs very heavily on cycles, and I cannot deviate. But this video is beautiful.
I feel you! This weather is quite confusing and I feel like summer never even had a chance to begin in our part of the world. If it gets warmer again it will be strange, but it's also strange to realise how cold and autumnal it feels for the middle of July! It just doesn't come together in one whole picture. Although I'm trying to embrace this colder weather right now, it feels weird to call it summer, but I also don't want to rush seasons before they're officially over!
Dear Daria. I am absolutely sure that the timing of the video is not at all what you need to worry about when creating a beautiful one. Maybe it's not so effective for getting traffic, but it's not a barrier to winning my heart at all)) You live in a magical place because the weather in your house can change the season several times a day: isn't that magic?
Sometimes these aesthetic names do sounds a bit funny but they do make sense at the same time 😅 It evident though why they are popular as what they encompass is something nice and relatable especially during the season (or sometimes out of the season if you crave a certain feeling). Lovely video as always! Your style of filming and aesthetics you choose to use work so well! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you so much! 🥰 I do feel that aesthetics are just the kind of modern day subcultures which encompass more broader and more inclusive elements. (Those born in the 20th Century will surely understand what subcultures are 😄)
Oh what a wonderful escape. Where is that location ith the reindeer 🦌? Is that some sort of sanctuary? I've never seen so many deer together.. how wonderful!
That’s Charlecote park in Warwickshire! Deer roam freely there and this place is kind of a sanctuary for them. These deer are wild, but because they live so close to people they’re not as afraid. It was such a happy coincidence that they arrived to this spot exactly as I was leaving - when I just came, they were nowhere to be seen. 🥰
Hey Daria! I love your style. I'm hoping to start something similar eventually. I was hoping you might share a bit of your technique, what equipment and programs do you use? I'm starting from zero! Thanks!
In love with your video aesthetics and calmness ❤ I would like to ask you if it would be ok to use seconds of some scenes of this video, like rain on the window or letter writing on a video I am working on. I make fanmade videos of movies/series and I really need some dark academia scenes. Of course I'll give you credit!!
Hi Daria, I'd love to know the name of the place you visited. It's my dream to visit such old dark aesthetic places. Thank you for another breath taking video. ♥️
Charlecote Park, it’s right on the River Avon. It has some pretty interesting history and famous visitors including Elizabeth I, and William Shakespeare.

I love dark rainy days especially in the summer, instead of the hot and muggy endless summer days some of us experience. Thanks for your lovely videos.
Days like these are so refreshing, aren’t they! ☔️😊

How wonderful to have all that wildlife calmly sitting near you! 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌
It's truly magical! These deer were just so curious and adorable! 🥰
Hurry up, autumn! The signs are pointing toward your presence. 🍂🍂
Less than 6 weeks left! 🍂

I can’t believe you get to sit among all those wild deer. What a magical place. That only exists in my dreams!
This video is so timely as it’s currently rainy gloomy and windy outside❤ I am happy I found your videos, they are truly art.
Aah thank you! 🥰

Beautiful. I loved every moment. Peace be with you friend. 💖
Rain is nice as long as you can stay inside and read a good book.
Autumn, the season that touches me to my soul. I love it so much and so look forward to the end of summer and welcoming fall🍁🍁

I used to frequent the goth scene as well. 😊 I still am a goth at heart, but that doesn't limit what I wear, listen to or read. ❤
