I know alot of people thought he was being over confident or cocky...but I saw a man who wanted to lie and say something good about DJ but his mind would not allow him to form a believable lie. His body would not let him lie. That's when I accepted DJ for what he is.

I think he's broken. To many hits, to many injuries and to many coaches and HE NEVER HAD A OL THAT GOT HIM KILLED FOR 5 YEARS STRAIGHT. Even during the playoff year the OL was still pretty bad. Now he's got the yips and totally lost his confidence. I do agree the Cowboys game was probably the nail in the coffin...he was killed in that game.

Amazing breakdown! The one at around 11 minutes is particularly infuriating and I was yelling at my TV for him to throw the ball. It's baffling to see his mechanics and decision making look the way it does in year 6 and frankly inexcusable. I was so high and optimistic on DJ coming into week 1, so it was devastating to see how things played out. I'm not sure how much of this can be fixed during an off week or at all, as at this point it seems he's broken from serious injuries and an internal clock that's been destroyed.
This was an awful game by DJ. This whole team looked like they were in preseason form though. Why does Daboll consistently have us under prepared week 1? Edit: Joe Judge really screwed up DJ. All these on the ground throws and lack of aggressiveness started in his 2nd year when J.J really hammered home not to turn ball over. Coaching matters and man its like DJ plays to not make mistakes now which you cant do.

I was a staunch DJ supporter until Sunday. I know all the criticisms. He’s a one read QB, doesn’t go through his progressions. I wanted to see what he could do when he had enough time for more than 1 read and some weapons. Also, there aren’t too many QB’s with his prototype physical attributes either. Either way, i saw and accept he’s broken. He got us to a playoff game 2 years ago go and won. First guy in the building, last to leave. These are all characteristics you don’t want to rush giving up on until you know. Now we know. Not like we were realistically able to move on for anything other than a stop gap anyway. So, here we are. The question now is, do we trust Schoen and Daboll to draft the right guy? We blamed Gettlemen for not drafting well beyond the 2nd round. So far his first 2 draft classes have been underwhelming.

9:07, Nabers wasn't open. He looks open but there's a safety back there. He's blending with the logo so it's hard to see him. But look at the logo on the field where the Giant throwing the ball. There's a safety there waiting for the throw from Jones. That would have been picked off swatted away or incomplete
The safety is about 12 yards back, there's no way he's closing that gap to get abywhere closer to the ball before malik catches that. Of course he's not going to throw it up the field, he has to lead him across the field to catch it in stride
None of this can be Brian daboll fault because daboll gives Daniel jones the option to check in and out of plays and DJ doesn’t use it. DJ should be at the point where he can tell what plays are going to work and not and check out the plays. They give Qb’s 4 to 5 plays out of the same formations that qb’s can check in to for man coverage, or zone coverage or any other defense the other teams is running that a DJ problem.

When your issue is from the neck up. Your stats will look better with better talent around you. But your flaw will still remain.
Jones needs a curl route on every play. What do you want Daboll to do? WRs are open and all Jones does is throw quick slants or the curl.

It over for Jones even if he has a good game against the commanders who cares he has always played good against the commanders. So if he lay an egg that game will he be benched?

Play 7: This tells it all. Jones had 4 men open. 2 in the middle of the field. He should have made a 30 yd pass. He throws it away.

9:07, Nabers wasn't open. He looks open but there's a safety back there. He's blending with the logo so it's hard to see him. But look at the logo on the field where the Giant throwing the ball. There's a safety there waiting for the throw from Jones. That would have been picked off swatted away or incomplete
The safety is about 12 yards back, there's no way he's closing that gap to get abywhere closer to the ball before malik catches that. Of course he's not going to throw it up the field, he has to lead him across the field to catch it in stride

Agree. Feel sorry for DJ but frankly, he is paid excessively and has regressed badly.
This is the same Janiel Domes from day 1. Against average DC's, he can win a few games. Against above average DC's, he gets exposed.
Play 6: QB has 2 receivers he could have passed to. He tries to run. Gets caught.
None of this can be Brian daboll fault because daboll gives Daniel jones the option to check in and out of plays and DJ doesn’t use it. DJ should be at the point where he can tell what plays are going to work and not and check out the plays. They give Qb’s 4 to 5 plays out of the same formations that qb’s can check in to for man coverage, or zone coverage or any other defense the other teams is running that a DJ problem.
Good take on the pick 6, it all just falls on DJ but he did his part as it’s drawn up. Over a year since live action, I think the arm part will tune up, and he does have time now. I think 22 was a fluke, but we will know by week 6
