Genuinely my favourite match ever. If you put me on a desert island and say you can have a DVD of one match to pass the time, this would be it.

For those who were not around during this time period. The only thing we can compare it to as far as how great this match was. Its like Shelton v HBK on Raw. That level match on a regular Monday Night Raw. It was amazing.

Brett was so good in the ring, he could put his opponent over even if they lost.
One of the main reasons Bret is arguably the greatest of all time is simply how many opponents had the best match of their career against him. The list is endless.
Great match, great interview. Can't help but think Sean is undergoing a metamorphosis into Bubba Ray Dudley.

This was the first match I ever saw as a kid. Instantly hooked.
Flash forward to now and I just took my 7 year old daughter to see payback in the burgh. She loves Rhea and the Judgement day.
Awesome, that will be a great memory for her when she's older.

Sean almost sounded like he was breaking 2 tears thinking about it. Not his matches with HBK which is his homeboy
To me their match is so much better than any match. We have today. Yes today’s guys are more athletic and do more moves but I don’t see them knowing how to work. They know how to do moves but very little people know how to really work. Bret and Sean were two of the best workers of that era and I just rewatch that match and it’s just crazy how that match sucks you in. That’s the other thing about today’s fans and wrestlers who think being a good worker means doing more moves. I’ve seen so many of them say that Sean is a bad worker but literally every wrestler from the 90s he’s one of the best. This whole generation fans and wrestlers are completely clueless and don’t understand psychology at all.

That's what Bret could do for young talent coming up. He put his arm out and pulled them up when no other wrestler would because they were so concerned with protecting their own spot.
Start to finish that match was amazing. Also Macho on commentary had some funny and great lines! Good time to be watching raw.

If he wasn't so green on the mic 1-2-3 kid could have gone far as when you rewatch the ppvs from the new gen era Sean was quickly in the top 4 or 5 best workers in the ring next to Shawn, Bret & Owen.
His matches were always exciting and the younger fans really took to him as well as some of the mothers.
If I was a wrestler back then I'd definitely would have bugged Vince to work with him as he made you look a million dollars and gave the fans a great match
