A more effective way to get rid of cockroaches is to pour molten bitumen down their holes. I takes 2 people and a very small funnel. One person holds the copckroach and the other person inserts the funnel into the individual roach's hole and pours the molten bitumen. This method also works well for ants, mice, rats, possums and even neighbours or their children that annoy you.
Removing the back off the refrigerator may help with your roach problem, but you will cause a problem with your refrigerator's cooling. That cardboard back is there for good reason. To assist the condenser fan in removing the heat from the compressor area and the condenser coils. Without that in place, your compressor and condenser will not cool down and your cooling inside will become a problem.
I've been living the nightmare for going on six months now. I was actually hospitalized because I couldn't breathe at one point. Emergency said it was a panic attack. Scariest thing that's ever happened to me. We had a drug house upstairs from me. Traffic in and out all day and night. Then they started digging thru the dumpsters outside taking them up to the apartment to look through the garbage. Yep we ended up with Roaches. The whole quadrant of apartments. Management sent out professionals twice but the druggies wouldn't comply. So the problem became worse fast. I threw away my microwave toaster coffee pot because I saw them in there. Had to buy all new just to get them in there too. Well they finally got out and had three professional sprays done and had to tear out the carpet and foam because they were infested and needed to clean apartment before the professionals would go back in. Yesterday they hit all 4 of our apartments. In two weeks they will hit us again. They said we should be good. I'm looking for DIYs to do for myself after that last spray. I'm giving it until Between December and March. If I don't see one I'll stay. If I still have them, I'm moving away and starting over. I'm not taking anything but my clothes. In big boxes they sell from Home Depot. I'm spraying those boxes inside and out and then washing when I get to my new place and discard those boxes. Sorry so long but these are luxury apartments by the Monterey Bay in California. I've lived her almost 4 years since I retired and it was bliss until the past 6 months. I'm depressed and at my wits end. New sub.
Veronica Salas I also recently had a panic attack because of these things. We moved to a new apartment about 5 months ago and things were great at first but now I have seen about 3 within the last 3 weeks. We have a professional coming out in about 4 days. We want to move so bad but we are terrified to carry them with us to the next place. Any luck taking care of your problem? If so what bait or traps did you use? We have a 13 month old and I hate that these things are crawling around
thanx for giving me some more hope after I have tried EVERYTHING!!!! I will be using this method to get rid of these unwanted pest this weeekend..I already told my husband to get ready to move the fridge when he gets off work ;)
A really great video except for one thing. The cardboard on the back of the refrigerator provides a duct work for the airflow that travels over the coils under the refrigerator. Be sure and replace it or the frig will not cool properly.
the video was very educational to find hiding spots.wish more imformation was giving on how to treat them without using pestisides. but all and all it is ok
I get quite a few jobs in mansions, cleaner restaurants and homes. You're right however--it's rarely a full blown infestation due to the person being clean and the roaches cannot thrive.
lf the infestation levels are high you will have to spray inside all cabinets bait is ideal only when infestation levels are not at the summit u might also need to spot treat , apply chemical treatment at the back compressor part of the fridge if infestation levels are high
Man I hope those pest won't go into my ps3 I have a huge roach problem after I sprayed my bathroom they been crawling everywhere I'm really getting annoyed by this
Try placing some sticky traps first and see if and what you get--then (and even instead) just place some roach bait stations around as it sounds like you don't have a chronic problem
So much unnecessary hate. After cleaning the area behind my fridge I soaked the cardboard cover with ortho home defense and sprayed it all over the inside of the area. What are your thoughts on that? Before doing that I put bait all over the kitchen. My next step is to do a through cleaning and put fresh bait out.
Just watched your video and I have a few questions. My husband and I just purchased our 1st home, however there was signs of cockroaches infestation. We did not see any of them alive of course but We don't want to take any chances. We cleaned everything and all the appliances are no longer in the home. How can we protect our home from cockroaches.
i didnt hear anything about the stove? thats the biggest place ive found not to mention under the sink and i found thats where there coming from, k had a dkshwasher installation guy who instead of recovering ghe hole that the hose to the sink went to just left it open right after a total fogged of my whole place and idk if its just vecause thats where they are coming in from but my brand new dishwasher was infested all over anf its been about 4 months since the last tume i got rid of them all. i found that if u go thru and spray bleach everywhere they come running out like crazy and the amounts that come out of a little gap or an unseen ti ghe dye hole is even crazier. i was hoping to find something to keep them from coming back like a paint or something
I am in a rental house which had a small problem when I moved in (Almost everyplace in Texas has roaches). This house has wooden paneling along the walls so has cracks and gaps everywhere. They hide in the walls and feed off each other etc... No amount of cleaning has worked, we sprayed the heck out of them and they only got worse, we cannot seal up all the cracks, I have used the gel, I have used glue traps, etc... They are still as strong as ever, what can I do?
KOSHCON: That is exactly what happen to me. I moved into a brand new beautiful Senior apt complex. The apt above me was empty for 6 months and I was so excited for the entire six months I was completely roach free. The last apt I moved from you could see a german roach every once in awhile and they would come and exterminate but the roaches were still there. . I was so excited not to have not one roach. Then the apt got rented to an Hispanic older man on housing and of course his whole family moved in with him. That is another story because when you are on housing your not supposed to have anyone live with you. He had his two sons, his granddaughter and a sometimes little 3 year old living there. I got so many roaches they were in my dishwasher my stove it was horrible. I told the manager about it she was hispanic also and just looked at me with a look of i am glad you have them. Four years later and I am still seeing them. I have literally bought 50 cans of raid and other insecticide maybe more I have lost count. . I cannot get rid of them. The exterminator they have he will spray behind the stove and behind the refrigerator and tell you see you next time I asked him one time I said why don't I ever see any dead roaches after you spray or you using water. He just looked at me. I am on housing to and if I complain they will just make me move into another complex and I love it where I live. So I am just stuck with the little bastards. by the way the mgr transferred him to another apt away from me. I guess he is infesting the whole apt complex. I am going to try this maybe it will help.
I been living in my apartment for 5 months i never seen any now that my neighbor has moved out i am starting to see them my son and I have both been tested to be allegeric to roaches. Please help me please I been throwing up and my skin has been changing due to them being in my house. I am so ready to move if I can get them out.
There are many articles on my blog-- (same name as my you tube channel) that can help... Most apt have a svc, you should call & if you are that affected--by all means, move. It's not worth your health
what if im allergic to anything that kills the critters? ive bought aerosols powders the stickers dont work and the gel doesnt work... WHAT CAN I DO!!??????
six minutes of completely wasted time. yeah guy, i don't need to know where to find them because they found me, just how to get rid of them...and there is not one useful bit of information about that.

you didn't tell how to get ride of them just were thay are. well big deal. i know WHERE THEY ARE. in my house. and the clean statement isn't true. they came from my neighbor

One full minute before it even looked like information was coming. Im afraid it lost me too. Looking else where.
The tile should be changed to most common roach spots or something of the sort.
Not true.
I cleaned my kitchen until it was shining clean and the night after I cleaned it, I saw roaches crawling over it.

There's none in my makeup drawer. I wonder what's making them stay away.
you omitted saying that they love electrical wires and water sources, I should know I have an infestation.
I get quite a few jobs in mansions, cleaner restaurants and homes. You're right however--it's rarely a full blown infestation due to the person being clean and the roaches cannot thrive.
Behind the dishwasher and up against the wall.
lf the infestation levels are high you will have to spray inside all cabinets bait is ideal only when infestation levels are not at the summit u might also need to spot treat , apply chemical treatment at the back compressor part of the fridge if infestation levels are high

Wanted to know how to get rid, not where they hide.
How to get them out the tv?
Eric Johnson put your tv in a large plastic bag with a rag soaked in rubbing alcohol and seal it off completely for 24 hours. Works on all appliances.
