awesome as always. may I suggest using 2x8x16 patio blocks for weight- 17 lb each. Trust me- I've done this, lol. I swear they can teleport through glass and acrylic.

Add a few different sizes of mason jars in the octopus tank. They love them. Joey is having fun

Joey what about adding a couple built up frames to three side of the top openings like a picture frame that you could slide the covers into. Would just take two layers of acrylic one wider than the other to create an overlap over the greenhouse panels
Hey Joey, I have those Eshopps overflow boxes in my freshwater tank and if you add a gate valve to de main drain then control the water level within the box, making it noiseless. I highly recommend it, also my aquarium is all a DIY custom aquariums set up inspired by your videos. I also have a fluidized bed with k1 in a custom sump

Gate valve 100%. I noticed they were flowing too fast as well
Drilling acrylic is so easy and fast. Sump systems are the best with easy maintenance especially the filter socks

Nice build. Those overflow boxes are perfect for a full siphon system “Herbie”. Two gate valves on your overflow plumbing and have the outlet submerged inside the filter sock will make the system totally silent.

Filter sock clamp great idea as stands/supports on line are expensive. That is all you need with least amount of space.

instead of weights you could drill some small recesses and use magnets. you can get some heavy duty ones that will make it impossible for the octo to lift or slide without ending up with some ugly big weights sittin on top

One thing about the Hanna salinity testers is that they can be off by -.002. I tested it against my Milwaukee and went to a couple fish stores to double check

Keeps looking better and better. Could you put a couple of non aggressive fish in with the shark Eggs just to keep the bio waste pumping for the bacteria. I dunno like the salt water equivalent to guppies?

Loving the tanks, what im thinking is maybe you can add marine pure spheres in a reactor? and have water forced through the spheres ? I believe fritz came out with a new bio dome media similar to the spheres, just a recommendation as im assuming its gonna be a high nutrient system and you may benefit from that media.

Hey Joey, turn ur skimmer off till u add fish because having the skimmer on during cycle will prolong ur cycle. Just wanted to help u out, excited to see the shark and octopus!
My dad kept an octopus when I was younger. Weighing down the lids isn't enough. They can slide them to the side and they will. You need to find another way to pin down your lips so they dont move to the side. :) My english isn't that great so I hope you can understand everything.

First off I want to say that Joey I love what you do and have been following for years. Keep up the fantastic work and making the hobby what it truly is. Now, I'm no expert in the field when it comes to saltwater sharks but wouldn't you want to use a cylindrical tank for sharks because they have a tendency to smack themselves against straight cornered tanks. Forgive me if anyone else has mentioned this in the comments, I haven't checked.
