I’ve heard in another review that the journeyman 650b has a weight limit of 355 lbs, cargo, bike, and rider combined, so I’m uber jealous that you have such a beast of a workhorse bike!
Nice ride...like the belt drive train. Too bad , just bought the Sirrus x4.0...great bike, but l like the belt drive which usually cost more, but this bike is reasonably priced.
Hey William, It looks like they have one available on the Govvelo.com website. Govvelo.com and Biloxi Bike Works are owned by the same people, and ship from the same location in Biloxi, MS. govvelo.com/products/bmc-alpenchallenge-one-2021?variant=39373829996593
“I can see what’s in front of me.” Always important on a bike. 😆 Just giving you a hard time, no worries. I appreciate your reviews. I test rode one of these and wasn’t impressed with the shifting-the internally geared hub seemed to really take its time changing between gears….don’t know if that’s a one-off sort of thing or not, it was the first and only belt drive bike I’ve tried. Also seemed like it needed a lower/harder gear for speed. But otherwise it felt like a quality bike and it looks good.
i just bought this bike, i confirm, the transmission is amazing.
Sigh.. I wish this was available last fall. I ended up getting the salsa journeyman 650b which is good’. But I wanted that carbon chain bike

I appreciate your opinion! Thanks
Many thanks for a video. I would have an additional question. If one lives in city with many step streets is it enough to have 8 speeds ?
I have ridden that bike up some steep bridges with no problem but I also am a high cadence rider .
Maybe a dumb question for this bike, but could I attach a Burley trailer to it?
good question and yes you can
@@TheBicycleRider do you think with the hitch or would it need a special skewer?
Researching this bike now. Bummer they no longer offer the belt drive.
TRhey do in BMC 257 AL 3 and one. They are improved models
