- In this video I get the gear input shaft oil leak sorted, find all my parts that have been scattered across the workshop, finish the boot and generally get organised for it to cross that finish line and become the fast road black and chrome Mini i've always dreamt of.

Great Videos keep up the great content do love the old stuff

A bonnet sticker reg plate would be good. An a Union jack on the roof
You could be Kaleb's Dad from Clarksons Farm 😆
Hopefully brother not dad hahah!
😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😂😂😂😂
Brent hinds bro? (Mastodon)
New sub ,can't wait to see it finished ,love minis ,love your videos
Thanks Simon!
Hi Simon - you” have to binge watch now !👍🏻
ESPECIALLY the Rascal … hilarious !
Metal shiny bits on the sump plug of a classic mini is normal. It's down to the gearbox being in the sump and is why the sump plug is magnetic.
Very good to know thank you!
I’d of gone for original raised letter plates… keep it clean
No black and white plates for you young'un, cut off date was 1st Jan 74.
A great video love the mini will look great when done
Thanks Raymond
Awesome videos man, great start to a Saturday morning :)
Cheers mate!
It’s made my UA-cam day to see one of your videos on it! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
‘Don’t forget your eye protection’ belly laughing at that face, very funny😂😂😂😂
Haha safety squints deployed!
I was bought up with minis and Morris 1000s helped my dad with welding up everything fron the floors up ! Eg iner and outer sills boot floor battery box front floors A panels subframe mounts etc.... but also I've owned 4 minis of my own and they are the most fun to drive and they have so much soul
So it's really good to see this very special 1275 GT being loved so nice job mate 👍
I adore that front end on the mini😉
hi there ben another very enjoyable video she is a beautiful car you know your stuff great to watch very well done
Yes put it on the back love this little car
Can't wait to see you take this thing for a road test! When finished. Loveing the content 👌
Fast becoming my Favourite channel well jealous of your workshop 👍
Love You're videos Ben it will be great to see the Mini finished and looking forward to the new resurection project
Oh wow an original Radford unless I'm very much mistaken?
I wouldn’t let you fix my pedal car!
Black N Silver
Would like to see it with black and silver plates, if it's old enough to run plates like that.
My new favourite channel. A very niceee!
Fantastic update and fantastic progress, Ben - for the number plates, I would tend to stick with “Original” (being on a ‘V” she’s a ‘79. Yes?)
Would be interested to see if all that old bodge silicone holds out, especially seeing as you’ve now revealed she’s at Stage 3 !
Really enjoyed that, keep ‘em comin’!
JCHK
Cheers John! She'll be a good one when she'd done
That grille looks kike a cut down Vauxhall Victor FD one.
Is that a standard clubman with different lights, or a special edition?
When I passed my test way back in 1993 I wanted a mini for my first car, but my brother had alright had one and my dad was said no chance am I spending my weekends fixing another one, you’re buying a metro. 😂👍
Haha excellent, it's 1275 GT With Vauxhall Victor grill!
Maybe sort that hunting engine out lol , and as for plates ,
Aluminium edged pressed plate with raised plastic letters circa 1970's would look fabulous..
Is that a pair of badges you have ? Go for red one lol
It'll fix itself haha!
Great vid!👌
I'd go with black n white plates.
Add allegro vdp grill, metro 5 speed box and have something unique.
metro a series never had a 5 speed, unfortunately lol (i have one), Jack Knight engineering made 5 speeds but they're rare and expensive
love the mini, can i buy it
Nice one pal always loved minis my first car was a mini clubman paid £50 for it couple of months mot left it was a rotbox tho lol I think the black n sliver plates think there for pre 75? 🤔
black and silver plates can be put on any historic vehicle iirc, so 1983 or earlier now
@@ambivalentonion2620 orite cool dvla seem to change rules every 5mins lol
@@johnlad1481 they do, I've looked it up again and they changed it so it's still historic tax class but only 1980 or earlier now
Or 'does it look like it's old enough' which i've found has always worked haha!
My favourite mini are you selling when it's finished???
It's getting close and yes probably, it'll be going on collectingcars or similar
👍👍👍
Are those lights from a Victor FD?
Fantastic spot, yes off a 67-71 Victor!
@@tastyclassics I'd love a Victor FD, preferably the VX4/90
Yes the moment I saw them thought that was a cut down grille and lights from a Victor FD as my dad had one.
Defo go pressed black and silver plates 👍
Cheers Ali, i've ordered some!
Black and grey plates, it wouldn't look right with anything else! I remember doing the gear selection seal on my metro what a nightmare!
Did my mini and they last a couple months at best then starts leaking again that wasbin the 90s so may be different these days
@@mattwillis8769 still no different, I recall it leaking again!
I dont like the grill and headlights
pushing it around is... nicht cool 😆
Ps… u obviously have plenty of money, BUT NO IDEA! 🤬
Borg and beck are not the same company anymore. The name was bought by the cheap and nasty First Line group. Buy a Borg and beck clutch these days and you are buying a poor quality clutch with a good name on the box.
