- Day 22 of our Tacoma build. The Goal is 30 days to build it, 30 videos, 1 ton axle, 40" tires and so much more. Today we build custom front brake lines!
The Tacoma is a 2010 TRD Sport, manual transmission, short box. And we are using the solid axles from a Ford Super Duty, Dana 60 front, Sterling 10.5 rear.
THANK YOU SPONSORS, check them out! This build would not be possible without them!

Great job on the brake lines, And Congrats to sister on her graduation. Stay safe and see you tomorrow buddy!
The truck is coming along well!
phoenix is a cool shop cat! great job on the brakes
Phoenix is rad!
Might want more slack on the soft line to the upper link? Just thinking the travel of it coming down may bend the upper hard line. Keep it up pretty sweet build.
Bro, don't apologize for needing to do family stuff!
SHOP LION!!!! 🐈🐈🐈
You're a wizard of the Toyota truck line. Awesome!
those brake lines look great man! keep up the good work, this thing is going to be sweet when it's done!!!
Soft lines are easier to keep spares and change on the trial.
Nicely done man! That pipe bending tool is pretty sweet.
Great job.
Where’d the bender come from? And your flare kit?
Please wear safety glasses when using a thin wheel
If there is any chance of boulders, found hitting the upper link, and the soft line being on the side, couldn’t they get pinched? Any reason you can’t just have the soft line on top of the upper link? Also what about steel band instead of zip plastic ?
Just a couch 🛋 mechanic here 😅
There is no chance of them getting pinched. Upper link is beside the oil and and pretty much entirely inside frame rail. Also you guys are seeing alot of the temporary first time things here. I am planning on using gear clamps to hold lines to links, but want to he sure it's all where it needs to be. Zip ties are easy and cheap for mockup.
