- These Maxtrac 4 inch lift spindles were the last piece to the puzzle of my 2.0 rebuild on my Toyota Tacoma. Now that these are installed, my truck is ready for desert season (suspensions wise at least).

The comparison from stock to Maxtrac is actually crazy
Great video. I'm installing the 4" Maxtrac Spindle now. Your video is guiding me. Thank you.
Hell yeah! My buddy got those spindles on his 07 taco and they are sick! Completely changes the truck 👌🏽🔥
I am an electrician in TX wiring in cars is childplay compared with the stuff you did in this video
Thanks man 🤘🏼
Aye man so check it out. All the stuff you went through. I went through with my Colorado. The driver side is naturally heavier then passenger. It’s uneven. The lift is amazing. I haven’t looked back. I do have 315/70/17. But I mean big tires small holes. Big game changer.
Thanks for this video bro......helped on my install
Hi good video. Your dash light might be the yaw sensor. My 4Runner light when on after a lift. Told tire shop to check yaw sensor. That was it. Hope this helps.
How are you running coilovers designed for only a 3 inch max lift on 4 inch spindles does it ride rough?
Now I’m no suspension expert by any means so take what I say with a grain of salt. But the 3 inch max lift is referring to exactly what that say. 3inches of LIFT. Doesn’t mean that the shock rod is maxed out. Just means that the Coilover itself can only lift 3 inches by utilizing preload. By putting in the spindle I’m able to remove all of that preload (drop all the lift out of the Coilover) and allows the spindle to do all the lifting so now the Coilover has a full range of motion and works better. Since the spindle attached to the balljoint in the upper control arm it’s simply spacing out the upper and lower not stretching out the Coilover since the top of the Coilover is attached to the coil bucket not the upper control arm.
Did you steering feel wonky like it was almost gonna crash down on itself before you got it aligned my steering feels really funky after putting the spindles on
Where did you get the hardware? The bolts that go in at the bottom there it’s sandwiched
It’s the hardware that came with the spindles. If you go to their website I think they have a parts section
Hey Man!
Love the info!
Question for you- was it difficult to run 16s on the Maxtrax spindles? I ask bc their website says you need minimum 17s, but I heard another YT say he had his on 16s. Just wanna get your thoughts man!
Thanks in advance!
I’ve had 0 problems with it 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@desertdime NICE!
Thanks man!
What size wheel Spacers you running with the 16” wheels
@@anthonyolmedo5794none in the front, 1.25” in the rear
7thats abs rest it
Yo did the maxtrac make a difference off road? Smoother ride?
I got some bilsteins 6112 and 5160.
I sing its praises all the time. Definitely helped with clearance and the overall ride just feels so much better. Must have ironed out some ride height issue in the shocks or front suspension geometry
Do you have aftermarket tie rods or stock?
Are these for looks or can they take on some aggressive 4x4 rock crawling ?
I don’t do any aggressive 4x4 Rick crawling, I do more fast desert off-roading. They give the additional lift for added ground clearance and also a tad bit wider track width
Will bilstein 5100s work with these spindle s
did you put rear blocks in
No I have deaver j66 leafs providing a bit of a lift
Got a question brotha. So i put maxtrac on my 2011 and i got some positive camber from it. Does yours have positive camber and if so howd you fix it. Also you runnin spacers?
Since you’re switching up the geometry with the spindles you might just simply need to get it realigned. I have spacers in the rear but not the front
What tool did you used for the shocks?
It’s an adjustment tool that came with the shocks
No sway bar?
No sir. Took it off during this install
Do you think this spindle lift will fit onto a total chaos upper control arm and 2.5 inch Fox coil overs?
It should. I don’t see why not 🤷🏻♂️
I have maxtracs and I regret selling my stock gusseted spindles… are you selling your stock ones by any chance?
ill trade you🤣
Do these increase suspension travel
I’m not entirely sure about that tbh but it increases the track with 0.75” on each side and corrects the suspension geometry. It also allowed you to take all the preload out of your Coilovers giving you more range of motion and full use out of them
Did you figure out how to turn off the traction light after the alignment if so how? I have the same light on in my dash😭
Literally just cleared that light about an hour after you commented that haha. I have a video going up tomorrow morning explaining how.
How long does this take
For me it took two days to do. If you know what you’re doing, it can take 1 day easy
