I haven't made it all the way through the video yet so I'm not sure if you addressed it, but football doesn't have an all star game outside of the USA. International breaks happen throughout the season where players are called up to represent their international teams for various reason. Most of the time it's to play qualifier games for the international tournaments such as the world cup, European championships etc. other times it is just friendly games for the teams to gel leading up to these tournaments. Hope this helps! :)
When Jade asks Nate to come with her to help her family screw in light bulbs, it's playing on the old jokes asking, "How many _____ does it take to screw in a light bulb?"
I had a Polish girlfriend whose brother loved to point out when the family was being _______ about something. They loved the jokes but only from within the family, and they would act like they didnt get it if anyone else laughed. I figured this was Jade screwing with him in the same way.
11:58 "The press is ready for you,Ted. It's a big one." "That's what that lady from The American Office said." is a reference to The Office US, where the main character, Michael, adds "That's what she said!" after another character's line, making it inappropriate.
Love the callbacks in these last episodes😁 Keeley scaring Roy outside her house was a callback to her saying "one day I'll be the one scaring you" the episode where Roy scared her in the parking lot😆
Lovely, thanks! One thing - when Rupert asks Nate to join him and the two ladies, I think he means to have Nate cheat on Jade. Essentialy confirm that Nate is a mini-me of himself. Rupert is a very manipulative and toxic person; I have seen people that remind me a lot of him pull similar moves. My guess is that it makes him feel justified in his own actions, and he probably sees it as good mentoring.
Oh yeah, that's definitely abusive/addictive behavior. If Nate joins him, then it's not "I made a bad choice because I'm a horrible person", it's "everyone was partying, and things just happened!"
Yup, soccer Saturday is just for the alliteration. The BBC has a show called Football Focus on a Saturday morning. We love it when strings of words have the same first letter, we Brits are a sinple folks
At 16:25, there is an allusion to the old joke: How many Poles does it take to screw in a light bulb? Answer: Three. One to hold the light bulb and two to turn the ladder.
I thought that moment in the ep was so funny/sweet. Love Nate & Jade. Also love Nate coming home to Jade with a bear hug, after leaving Rupert at the club (ep 9).
Light bulb screwing refers to a classic but very politically incorrect joke about Polish people. Oh, when Roy's sister appeared did you recognize her? She was Sharon's Doctor who assumed Ted was Mr. Sharon. 😁
S3 E9 is one of my favorite episodes. Actually, the rest of season 3 are all my favorite episodes. I love your reactions and I don't want Ted Lasso to be over. Maybe you can react to Ted the TV series next? It's hilarious and heartwarming (believe it or not)
"The guy from Cream"..is Eric Clapton. 😉 And now I'm gonna put on my 'Coach Beard' hat - Joe Walsh's best stuff was from earlier in his career. The Eagles were his 'retirement plan'!! 🤣 EDIT: extra points if you heard me say that in Beard's voice..
@@OldLadyReacts , his first band was "The James Gang". His biggest hit was probably "Rocky Mountain Way", it's on his solo record "The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get" in 1973. Here's some James Gang to get you started, it's a banger. I was 10yrs old when it came out, blew my mind. ua-cam.com/video/3eC-4r4d0mU/v-deo.html
FYI it’s not all star games. Unlike American sports, football has international competitions like the Euro finals or the World Cup. Teams need to qualify for the tournament in the International break. Jade is polish. Polish immigrants to the U.K. often do menial jobs like screwing in lightbulbs. 💡
Remember Colin and Issac have been best friends through all three seasons. Isaac isn’t mad Colin is gay, he’s mad that Colin wouldn’t trust him to know.

Makes sense! Our Basketball league here has an All-Star game so that's what i was thinking of mostly.
Trent's t-shirt game throughout the series is A+!!! As to Beard having 17 axes, remember from season 2 he was once a Lumberjack Games World qualifier!
Definitely!

I had to go back and fix my typos. I hate looking stupid because of autocorrect.
Oh! Is that like the whole "how did the Polish hockey team drown?" kind of joke? I can make those jokes cuz I'm a little bit Polish myself.
@@OldLadyReacts same with me and Mexican jokes

I figured it was something like that, but I've only watched the British version of the Office. Never got into the American one.
Yup. Forever blowing bubbles is West Ham Uniteds song for real.
That's so wacky!

Oh! I remember that one now. Funny.

I appreciate a good play on words!

Oh, no I didn't recognize her!
I did not pick up on that, though now you mention it, I do remember Roy's sister was mentioned as being a doctor - I think in the Christmas episode.
32:00 I imagine there are many people who would be okay with Hannah Waddingham doing a spit take on them...
Well, whatever toots your horn, I suppose.
Yeah, “fit” means hot, “well fit” means very hot.
Good to know!

thanks for the recommendation! I was wondering what I should watch next. Other than Schmigadoon, which is on my Patreon. I'm loving that show so much!
Please check out "Love Shack cover by Hannah Waddingham & Brendan Hunt" & "Shallow cover by Hannah Waddingham & Jason Sudeikis"
I will!

Was Joe Walsh in a different band before he joined the Eagles?

Yes, fit means hot
Fit, hot, handsome or beautiful.

Yeah, that's what I figured.
Have you seen the movie Strays?
Hi there
Hello!
