It would be very informative if the people who are pushing for this, as well as all the other development around North Walsham, have already done a feasibility study and been in touch with facilities like local schools, medical facilities, electric/water/gas etc, public transport/buses/trains. The list goes on. I'd like to guess not many and if it were to be asked for the results of such studies to be made public they'd probably have misplaced or 'accidently' deleted them. Not only that but given that we appear to have a 'DECLINING' population. Which we will be requiring more houses to accommodate? There is of course the ongoing problem of the massive number of 'Illegal' migrants. As well as the 'legal' migrants (whatever we call them) and legitimate immigration. So maybe this rash of new builds will be to house them. Then the massive investment the government is making in our farming industry (not) so we can compete on a more level playing field with the considerable amount of grain and other crops which is grown in Norfolk but which we can't sell because it can be purchased from Europe more cheaply than UK farmers can even grow & harvest it, let alone store and supply it to people like Sainsburys or Tesco. The local Jobs market is already minuscule & relatively low paid, so who is going to be working locally, on a good enough salary to afford to buy one of these properties Then get your kids to a 'Local' school or surgery or dentist.
