Even in the cases where prefab homes are real, those coming from China will carry a shipping cost multiple times the base cost. And to insure it during transit will also make you broke very quickly. If you are in the US, your best bet is to buy local, build local, and limit shipping as much as possible. You will end up with a higher quality result and lowest finished cost. These videos describe good products only for those that live local to the factory.
I would steer way clear of buying a house from Amazon. Especially if it will be delivered from China. Has anyone reading this ordered from Amazon and had their product take months to arrive? And then it wasn't what you ordered? Now imagine doing this with a house. There are reputable companies in the US that make these types of homes. Then you have to have the land to put it on, and then you will have all of the associated costs with building a home and getting it move-in ready. Another too good to be true story.
I will never buy anything big from Amazon especially 3rd party! I purchased an electric wheelchair that cost over a thousand dollars and when I got and put it together it did not work! I called the number for customer support and got voice mail! I called and called until I started leaving threats that they finally called me back! They said it was the joystick so the sent me a new one which I replaced.. It didn't work so I said I had to return it. I no longer had the box so I had to take it to UPS to get it sent back. It cost $300 shipping and handing! I was credited $.01! They offered me $500 off a new one but you know what I thought of that after they finally admitted that a wire was broken off the motor and that was why it never worked. That was after a month of telling me I was the one who was wrong though! Amazon never helped me through any of this btw!!
Shipping containers. But, if done right right, delivered right and setup may not be so bad... I live on 35 acres in the woods and thinking about these for a AirBNB or long term rental. Even housing for someone helping me on the ranch.
For every attempted solution for poverty, home ownership and reasonably costed housing, it seems there's an entrepreneur lurking in the corners and trying to make a buck off of it!
How do you contact the vendors for these various models? I couldn't find any link on Amazon. Also, how do you protect yourself from fraud and or product defects? (Given they are in China). Thank you.

As anyone who’s bought anything on the internet from Chyna knows…the quality is garbage, and result in 70-82% ‘returned goods from damage’…don’t become a statistic…small homes can readily be built on site by ‘licenced’ contractors, for similar pricing…all you need to do is inquire…and also take into consideration if the property you want these homes on can legally accomidate these types of homes…some properties have a ‘size’ restriction, or a ‘prefab’ restriction…especially the ‘mobile home’ styles…please, please, please…BUY AMERICAN…
I doubt that these "homes" meet the requirements of many building codes. I'm thinking of structural standards, insulation and heating efficiency, etc. I know some places in the US have no building codes and will let you live in any kind of shed, but I wouldn't buy one. The Sears homes were good quality, and many are happily occupied today, but I have serious reservations about the Amazon houses.
The first one is a Tesla home. The one they said that is waterproof and fireproof no such house exist's.A lot of these homes are in the drilling fields stacked on top of each other
Looking at the description of the first one on Amazon, it doesn't seem that the kitchen and bathroom are actually included--only the wiring and plumbing (supposedly meets local standards but that would require quite a bit of customization and it's not clear whether the manufacturer or the customer would be responsible for researching local codes). Customer also needs to have a crane ready for unloading and placement on pad. Basically it sounds like you get the shell with "RV windows, curtains, internet socket and socket (water proof), internal sockets, LED lighting, switches, light belt, insulation layer." And if the electrical wiring and plumbing don't meet local codes, do you have any recourse? Doubt it. A purchase like this, you want to deal with someone locally.
Non conventional housing on your own plot of land outside of the city might be an affordable option for prepping before the SHTF. But a house without those HUGE windows would feel more safe, secure and private to me.
in reality it leaves a LOT to the imagination. the listings are sparse and give no REAL idea how they show up, what you need to do beforehand, and so much more - to make matters worse ive bookmarked 5 that turned out to be scams so id never ever trust amazon for something like this. in addition all these are likely too small to meet local zoning minimums for homes. even in resort areas its usually 1200 SQ feet or more

I never buy Amazon. Most f the stuff is inferior Chinese made and usually costs more money.
An issue I see is that theres no insulation. If you don’t live where the weather is perfect how will you not freeze or sweat to death
I've often wondered how these structures would hold up in Tornado Alley, Earthquake Central, Hurricane Island or Snowbelt City.
😂😂😂
