Morale is a very powerful thing. It's part of spirit, if you're demoralized that basically means you lost the will to continue spiritually. Your body can break but if the spirit is not able to keep pushing forward that is true defeat
I cried a little after Ivan Drago threw in the towel when he finally realized his mistake in using Viktor to stroke that long time bitterness he held towards Rocky. Then calmed an enraged Viktor down, hugging him, telling him it'll be alright as Viktor cried in his father's arms.
This scene is amazing because you feel sympathy for the dragos and creed finally gets his vengeance, there both fighting for a reason, the dragos fighting to get back in their country, and creed because he wants revenge.
Victor didn't do anything to Adonis. The real reason is the fact that Ivan Drago and Rocy are too fathers that have a conflict...they put their "child" on the fight because in reality they want to fight again to each others for their own reasons. Rocky say to Adonis not to fight draco and he's right, but then he partecipate in the end to fight draco. The message is very close to our society today, we often go along and pursue things that are generated in our past from people we love but that are not our battles.
This movie pulled off an impossible task: it made the Dragos human, relatable. I genuinely felt awful when Viktor looked up and saw that his mom had left.
The final scene is one of the best in the saga, as not only does it serve as a "revenge" for Creed, but the moment when Drago throws in the towel also serves as redemption for Rocky. Drago does what Rocky didn't dare to do in Rocky IV.
Also, just a nitpick, but remember how Ivan finally put Apollo down in Rocky 4? Rocky pretty much downed Ivan himself the same way in that same movie. Another point to ponder about.
It's incredible how this movie can shift your emotional state from adrenaline-pumping and triumphant when Donnie knocks Viktor down, to genuinely emotional and sad when we see the torture Viktor puts himself through, and how it reflects in his father's eyes.
Ivan Drago learning the value of life and what is important in this fight alone is beautiful. Not only does he throw in the towel to end the fight in which his son could get injured for life if the fight would continue. But also defending his son when everyone else (including his mother) abandons him by throwing away his own pride to get back at rocky. Catching him and bulding him back better in life as in boxing. Say what you want about the character "Ivan Drago" but as a father he did what every good father should do. Swallow his pride if it can help save/defend his own kid.
I do feel some sympathy when drago got up and saw only his dad left, I did feel a bit sorry for him at this moment because he looked upset that only his dad was left

It'd be interesting to see him and Adonis become unlikely friends like Rocky and Apollo, possibly after Adonis suffers a bad loss of his own ... mirroring Rocky III.
Note to self: watch the damn saga. At first I thought Adonis' motivation for fighting Viktor was incredibly shallow. And then I watched Rocky 2. Now it made sense.
Not gonna lie: They really had the opportunity here to make a new music rendition of Vince DiColas "War" for this final fight. More in the direction of an orchestral arrangement. That would have been epic and would have fit the context!
I loved Ivan trowing the towel. It kinda breaks expectations and not, but it brings the hope i had for evolving the beef between Rocky and Ivan. Ivan wants his son. At the begining i saw him with hate towards the world. At the end he wants his son.
If you think about it the Dragos are fighting for each other. Ivan just wants his son to win and have the life he never had without realizing Viktor doesn’t really care about the glory and reputation, he just wants the love and respect of his father, which he fails to realize that his father has always loved him.
Great movie! As someone that grew up during the Rocky Era, especially Rocky 3, 4, 5, etc, I never thought there would be a Rocky movie where you would feel bad for a Drago.
Victor's defeat wasn't fact of strength, or speed, or determination. Compared to Adonis he was lacking only in the term of speed. Adonis individually won because of the scenario want him to win. Victor lost because of the honorless advices from his father and more than that, he lost because of his mother rejection and abandonment. Very unfortunate. This was the main reason i'm feeling compassion for Victor since the 1st time i saw the fight. Adonis was worth of the title just because of the cut scene in the locker room.
I really felt Viktors pain....his mom walked out on him again.....what a c*nt, he truly lost because of that he started fighting out of frustration and sadness completely losing all focus, Ivan had to throw in the towel....
They did a great job job of making Drago a tragic character. I hope we get more of him. Apollo Creed had his "redemption" later in the Rocky series and he became a classic protagonist. Viktor and Ivan Drago deserve the same.
Oddly enough, in Rocky, Apollo could not put Rocky away no matter how much he pounded on him. And in Rocky 2, Apollo admitted to his wife that he was bothered (and scared???) that he beat on Balboa harder than he'd ever beat on anyone and couldn't put him away. Ivan protected his son.
Whao i just watch the clip And now why am i heart touched? This movie is heart touching it really konneks the real life boxing Which the opponent has to fight for something
Watching Rocky vs Drago and Adonis vs Drago back to back you really notice how much they improved lol. Plus Adonnis seems way faster and agile than Rocky, the camera movement is so good aswell, makes the fight dynamic and fun
That look of pure sorrow on Viktor's face when he sees his mom walked out on them again is so heartbreaking...

Viktor deserves his own movie. 8:41 This part is so sad.
It'd be interesting to see him and Adonis become unlikely friends like Rocky and Apollo, possibly after Adonis suffers a bad loss of his own ... mirroring Rocky III.
Yes actually, a rocky movie from the point of view of drako would be awesome.
@@n0wheregrrl
You predicted the future, my friend. Go see Creed 3 ASAP.
Might be the best rocky film yet , every single character had a redemption
Isnt a rocky film tho
@@OnlyDylan17 yes it is. And if you want to get technical, then don’t bother. Very annoying
@@talpho3301 its a creed film. Does it say rocky anywhere in the titel
if this was a real boxing match there would be a lot more hugging
No cap
The ref must not have seen it lol he was right in front to see the hold
Ikr. this comment is so recent.
If real fights had as much direct punches land as Rocky movies they’d end inside of 30 seconds. 😂 More entertaining this way I guess.
U can actually see the pain he is going through but still refuse to give up gets me all the time 🤧6:07
7:16 and 7:45 That shit from creed's music to rocky's legendary music...just gives me goosebumps man..!!!
Cinema.
Note to self: watch the damn saga.
At first I thought Adonis' motivation for fighting Viktor was incredibly shallow. And then I watched Rocky 2. Now it made sense.
Creed never gave up 👍no matter what you go through in life keep pressing 💯 and you will win 💯
3:33 "HE'S CUT! HE'S CUT, and it's a bad cut!"
Drago s the best MAN here. He changed a lot to finally show tat LOVE s more imp than anything.
Adonis realizing Viktor Drago lives with the repercussions of Ivan Drago’s actions more deeply than himself.
This movie probably will be best one
Not gonna lie:
They really had the opportunity here to make a new music rendition of Vince DiColas "War" for this final fight.
More in the direction of an orchestral arrangement. That would have been epic and would have fit the context!
Man I love this scene mike b acted his ass off this scene damn near brought tears to my eyes 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I loved Ivan trowing the towel. It kinda breaks expectations and not, but it brings the hope i had for evolving the beef between Rocky and Ivan. Ivan wants his son. At the begining i saw him with hate towards the world. At the end he wants his son.
“Because your dangerous .” That line hits
Lmao
If you think about it the Dragos are fighting for each other. Ivan just wants his son to win and have the life he never had without realizing Viktor doesn’t really care about the glory and reputation, he just wants the love and respect of his father, which he fails to realize that his father has always loved him.
8:00 - that dig to overhead hook give me chills 😁
Creed opening round punches crisp and well timed
Watching Creed 2 makes me appreciate how well Steven Caple Jr directed and I really want to see more work done by him that's not Transformers.
Creed's body shape is tremendous ! also dragos
Creed's black version of his usual trunks is a symbol of him rising back from the ashes
It is also similar to the blacked out flags/patches US soldiers wear while prosecuting a war.
Adonis Creed is better than Victor Drago. He like, bro he whooped him and the end of the fight, but Drago did really good too.
Great movie! As someone that grew up during the Rocky Era, especially Rocky 3, 4, 5, etc, I never thought there would be a Rocky movie where you would feel bad for a Drago.
Great movie. rewatching this fight after watching Creed III and that movie was a masterpiece!
when Viktor looked at the seats and saw his mother not there really broke me 😢😔
5:34
“You like the pain and you can take. You know why? Cause you’re dangerous”
This, this is it
There should be a film on the Dragos
1:01 punch out reference
7:47 when the rocky theme starts playing you know somebody about to die
Viktor's character got my respect! Didn't say much word, his aurora is enough
7:16 when the rocky original them started playing I almost cried
I could.not hold my tears
Creed took this fight personally
Victor's defeat wasn't fact of strength, or speed, or determination. Compared to Adonis he was lacking only in the term of speed. Adonis individually won because of the scenario want him to win. Victor lost because of the honorless advices from his father and more than that, he lost because of his mother rejection and abandonment. Very unfortunate. This was the main reason i'm feeling compassion for Victor since the 1st time i saw the fight. Adonis was worth of the title just because of the cut scene in the locker room.
You woulda thought rocky would've taught him his patent-pending "block every punch with your face" move
taking a left hook from florian is no joke
Just like Creed wasn’t really a bad guy in the Rocky movies, this manages to make Drago Jr not really the bad guy again. Masterful stuff.
4:42 my boy use the the Mayweather shoulder shrug 😂😂
Its 4:40
Your boy gay. Eveyone likes drago
"Whats your problem...YO?"
😂😂😂
I desperately wanted Adonis to knock Victor’s lights out until I realized that that’s not really what this movie’s about
Oddly enough, in Rocky, Apollo could not put Rocky away no matter how much he pounded on him. And in Rocky 2, Apollo admitted to his wife that he was bothered (and scared???) that he beat on Balboa harder than he'd ever beat on anyone and couldn't put him away. Ivan protected his son.
Creed awakened his Spartan Rage, lovely movie🤝🤝
Whao i just watch the clip
And now why am i heart touched?
This movie is heart touching it really konneks the real life boxing
Which the opponent has to fight for something
Watching Rocky vs Drago and Adonis vs Drago back to back you really notice how much they improved lol. Plus Adonnis seems way faster and agile than Rocky, the camera movement is so good aswell, makes the fight dynamic and fun
I wanna know during this fight were was Adonis creeds daughter
jaja, right?
Baby sitter..... 👀
Adonis his mom is rich remember?
"If you want to get paid, you got to be willing to take the pain!" That sums up the Rocky series in one line.
He said give pain
watching in 2022 just waiting for that creed 3 trailer. i kinda hope viktor drago comes back in some way
