      @@jonlong5541 - Well they needed her to testify so they at list cared enough, maybe the ones who released her on bail didn’t get the memo. Or if she wanted to be out on bail they can’t force her to stay, but they didn’t mention that they advised her to stay but she insisted to be released. It was very stupid move on their part that cost this girl her life.

    • @thamnosma
      @thamnosma 2 роки тому +37

      First off, bail is set by a judge. The detectives do not control any of that process. Prosecutor asks for a bail amount and the judge sets it. Can a prisoner refuse bail if posted? I don’t know. But the detectives would have no involvement whatsoever in that process. They would learn afterwards. Your trashing of the detectives is utterly unwarranted. If they knew in advance this guy was gonna post bail, they could have gone to the prosecutor, who in turn would go to the judge and request higher bail. Her crime was low level so bail could not be refused. All of that would have taken longer than the time required to release her. Try some thinking.

    • @TiffWaffles
      @TiffWaffles 2 роки тому +7

      It's such a tragedy to see just how deep people can fall into their addictions. Traci Jo had such an amazing life ahead of her with her dance career. It's sad to see that her life was ruined because of this drug addiction. I wonder if she would have gotten into a rehab centre and turned her life around had she had the opportunity to do so? She wouldn't have had a career in dance unless she opened up a dance school for young people, but she could have had her full life and lived happily.

    Just a couple rectifications:
    "At 18, Tracy Jo met an older man named Michael Neal". Stop blaming the mother for 'doing nothing', Tracy Jo was already an ADULT.
    "In 2001, Prosecutor Steve Baldassano said Neal took them to a strip shopping center near Jones Road and FM 1960, where several trash-collection companies once had garbage bins. A check with one company revealed the body most likely was taken to a city landfill. The chances of recovery would be costly and not likely to yield anything because so much time has elapsed."
    "Michael Neal has since died." Good riddance.

      To be fair, sometimes you've got to let a young person figure things out themselves. My sister was in a really bad relationship with somebody that was a child predator (she wasn't a child herself, but the guy had sexually assaulted a teenager). Even though my mother banned the man from the house and told my sister that if she moved out with him, she would not be allowed back until the relationship was over... she even tried counselling my sister to urge her away from this man, it pushed her closer to him and she didn't figure out that he was a bad person until she started looking at her own relationship with him. She even stuck by him when he went to prison for a few months...

      Not according to the law, she was 18 when they moved in together and in Texas the age of consent is 17. I’m not saying that it’s appropriate because being an Atheist and a nearly 40 year old fully disabled combat veteran I wouldn’t be with someone under the age of 21 let alone under the age of 18. However it doesn’t specifically address how old they were when they met and became friends versus when they started having sex, which may very well have been at the same time but it MAY not have been. I mentioned being an Atheist earlier for two reasons, one being to help dispel the myth that you “won’t find Atheists in foxholes” because you certainly will find Atheists like myself fighting for their country including in combat situations. Also to distance myself further from “christianity” particularly when discussing this topic of the appropriateness of age, given that the so called “bible” acknowledges that “christianity” considers a girl a “woman” (meaning she can be married and start having children) around AGE TWELVE….yes you read that right…AGE 12!!!

I, as a family member, need to and really must, stand up in positive, constructive and holy ways for wife, kids and extended family so there are clear ethical and moral rules and expectations for each of us individually,for our marriages and our entire family.
