Releasing her on bail to the custody of the guy who she is testifying against in court for drive by shooting and hate crime charges. Those detectives are super smart.
Exactly. It wasn’t very smart move I can believe they even talk about the entire thing as they did a good job. She shouldn’t be dead if they protected her.
@@jonlong5541 - Well they needed her to testify so they at list cared enough, maybe the ones who released her on bail didn’t get the memo. Or if she wanted to be out on bail they can’t force her to stay, but they didn’t mention that they advised her to stay but she insisted to be released. It was very stupid move on their part that cost this girl her life.
First off, bail is set by a judge. The detectives do not control any of that process. Prosecutor asks for a bail amount and the judge sets it. Can a prisoner refuse bail if posted? I don’t know. But the detectives would have no involvement whatsoever in that process. They would learn afterwards. Your trashing of the detectives is utterly unwarranted. If they knew in advance this guy was gonna post bail, they could have gone to the prosecutor, who in turn would go to the judge and request higher bail. Her crime was low level so bail could not be refused. All of that would have taken longer than the time required to release her. Try some thinking.
What in the world did they think would happen? The girlfriend testifying against the boyfriend she lives with? And leaving the jail with him? Good grief.
Mandy, I am with you on this. Police was completely careless 😑. How do you let a murder suspect walk away with your star witness 😳? In fact, your ony witness!!! The mother ought to have sued the police 🚔 for negligence.
It's such a tragedy to see just how deep people can fall into their addictions. Traci Jo had such an amazing life ahead of her with her dance career. It's sad to see that her life was ruined because of this drug addiction. I wonder if she would have gotten into a rehab centre and turned her life around had she had the opportunity to do so? She wouldn't have had a career in dance unless she opened up a dance school for young people, but she could have had her full life and lived happily.
Sometimes I wonder if parents and teachers should not discuss and show cases of people's lives ruined by addiction at a young age, maybe as young as 8, at a time when some of them might seriously resolve to avoid them.
@@lorimavthey should also show cases of responsible adults who use drugs recreationally in a safe manner, and whose lives haven’t been ruined by it. Which is the vast majority of drug users.
Just a couple rectifications: "At 18, Tracy Jo met an older man named Michael Neal". Stop blaming the mother for 'doing nothing', Tracy Jo was already an ADULT. Not according to the law, she was 18 when they moved in together and in Texas the age of consent is 17. I’m not saying that it’s appropriate because being an Atheist and a nearly 40 year old fully disabled combat veteran I wouldn’t be with someone under the age of 21 let alone under the age of 18. However it doesn’t specifically address how old they were when they met and became friends versus when they started having sex, which may very well have been at the same time but it MAY not have been. I mentioned being an Atheist earlier for two reasons, one being to help dispel the myth that you “won’t find Atheists in foxholes” because you certainly will find Atheists like myself fighting for their country including in combat situations. Also to distance myself further from “christianity” particularly when discussing this topic of the appropriateness of age, given that the so called “bible” acknowledges that “christianity” considers a girl a “woman” (meaning she can be married and start having children) around AGE TWELVE….yes you read that right…AGE 12!!!
Michaeel Durwood Neal died in prison. I have been unabole to find the date of his death. It is known, however, that, to the very end, he refused to disclose the location of Tracy Jo Shine's remains. It is believed that Neal took the 55-gallon drum containing her body, and filled with muriatic acid, to the city landfill. Both of Tracy Jo Shine's parents are now deceased.
And the messed up thing is I could have sworn they said in the episode that he got life in jail so how is he going to be out on parole if he got an additional 45 years
I’m so happy that police officer didn’t give up. So many times we are led to have connect with certain people out of circumstances and it can lead to our demise. As women, we have to be more vigilant and cautious of people in and why they are in our lives.

So tragic that Traci jo got addicted to drugs and ended up associating with a murderous monster. Her mother was so concerned but she could not help Traci jo. Condolences to her. Rest in peace Traci jo.
How disappointing that an evil person like this guy is still breathing. This family is the poster family for dysfunction and evil. Yes, every family is dysfunctional in some minor ways, however, there appears to be no moral leadership in this family. Among the many possible lessons I could learn here, one stands out. I, as a family member, need to and really must, stand up in positive, constructive and holy ways for wife, kids and extended family so there are clear ethical and moral rules and expectations for each of us individually, for our marriages and our entire family.
I’m not going to overlook the fact that she was in a relationship with a racist. To be with someone who doesn’t like a certain person because of their face, you’ve got to be the same way. She didn’t like certain people but it was her own kind that did her in…and brutality! We can label this the same way we label everyone else’s crime. I don’t care who don’t like what I’ve said. If so, may have missed that part about the racism!!!! Keep in mind, she was ONLY going to testify to save herself!!!! She was still a racist!!!!

@@christinamenhennett Yes, it's psychological but in many cases there is also a practical motive... using the knowledge as a bargaining chip to cash in at an opportune time. "I'll give you the information you need if you can (insert favor or reduced time)"
@@bobshenix right it's a control thing giving them a power trip.
He later said where he left her: in a trash bin, that was already long been emptied.
there should be a rule that they won’t be eligible for parole until they admit where the body is. i can see why this legally isn’t possible especially if someone is convicted but is innocent (which does happen sometimes) but there are a lot of cases where it’s very clear that the person is guilty & they should have to tell where the body is. in an ideal world, him & all the other murderers like him would be in jail for life or worse but i don’t see it as true justice if the victims poor family doesn’t get to lay the victim to rest while the murderer serves their time & get their life back after. it’s just sick, i hope they can find her remains one day before her mother passes
Unfortunately, Michael Neal has since died in prison without revealing where he put her remains. It is very likely she may never be found.
_I know where she at_
I never get tired of this intro song of Forensic files.
What a wonderful family... brother, mother and sister... All beautiful people!
NO MORALITY+ DECENCY!! TQ FOR YOUR
COMMENT. YOU TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY
MOUTH.
Wonderful!! Her mother raised a junkie that got with a racist!!! 🥴🤡
Yeah....soooo beautiful 🤮🤮🤮
I'm going to be knitting while listening to this. This scarf is gonna be LIT
Going to knit a murder scene, like the Fargo TV show?
Since Tracy Jo dreamed of being a dancer, I wonder if she got involved in drugs to try and keep her weight down and it got out of hand.
Or cope with the stress of the competitive industry
Her mugshot is epic
🥴
4:08 She was released into the arms of a killer.
Not acceptable!
What the hell was that exorcist music when they showed her dancing.
exactly
The audio was super loud too. Creeped me out 😳
I loved it and want to know the name...🤷🏻♀️
@@jackedkerouac4414I’ve seen this episode a few times and that scene somehow always creeps me out 😬
Fatherless environments are unfortunate for children
I've read a lot of comments in here about being young and dumb. I did a lot of stupid stuff, looking back I could have easily been a victim. Thank God for my guardian angels.
Oh & officer Dion is a Chad! I hope he's doing well.
Marcel Dionne is a good lad.
Last seen with the criminal boyfriend. Absolutely suspect number one. Should have got a warrant to search his home and seriously interrogate him and his family
Michael has since died in prison. We will never know where he buried Tracy
Man sad how he killed her for fearing she would testify and then ultimately his brother ended up doing that instead. He only spent time in prison for what he did and the murder.
The mom lets her daughter date a guy almost twice her age and when she meets him she's satisfied that " he seems nice enough" ?!?!?!? Seriously??!!!
Could have been jealous of daughter's good looks and talent and was happy to be rid of her.
She was 18! What could she do? Lock her up in a cupboard?
“Lets”? She’s an adult, it’s not like anyone in their right mind would consult with their parents on who they will date. That only happens in backward countries where arranged marriages are allowed
I hate it that her daughter got into drugs and I understand she could not control her but why did she not do something before she turned 18.
And for that Sheriff he worked so hard so many years I command him!
I hate it for the mother that she cannot lay her daughter to rest unreal sad ❤️🙏🏼
How can that piece of crap get out of jail he is killed people and that’s not enough to keep them in there forever I just don’t understand.
I think the Sheriff felt guilty for letting her go with her murderer and that's why he worked so hard on the case. If he's still alive he probably still can't get a good night's sleep.
He died in prison
Ok but here’s the million dollar question. Who was the anonymous phone call? How did she know the info?
Probably a family member.
And is that person still alive?
To answer your question, she claimed to be the 'girlfriend' of the killer.
At one time Michael Neal took the police to where he said her body was, but nothing was ever found.
Fortunately, he has died.
Naa this the cops fault, they let the dude she was gonna testify against, post her bail 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Why did she go with him though?
I saw him with your Aunt last night
This is 100% the police detectives fault..the police blew it..First of all they took advantage of an addict and then didn't look out for her safety..at the very least the minute she agreed to testify against her bf they should of cut her loose..it was only a drug case..str8 b.s.
I bet that's why he kept the fridge for so long. Out of guilt.
Oh please. The cops don’t set bail. The prosecutor and judge do. The detectives probably asked for higher bail …. They usually do. You know nothing.
@@thamnosma since she helped them with a murder investigation they should just drop that bs drug charge and cut her loose.. someone died on the careless actions of the police
That stupid old cop should have never of taken her in the first place , stinkn maggot shouldn't have been inside the house... totally killed.her sitting there thinking I've got to look at other cases 😄takes lives and creates his own crap for a job
@@jonlong5541 How did she help them? You have ZERO CLUE what you're talking about.
“He seemed nice enough” Uhh he was in his 30s and your daughter was a literal CHILD. Wtf is wrong with her?!
Wow. The whole family did it. How sad. Poor Tracey.
The Assyrians had the right idea about how to punish criminals like this. Removing the skin while the person is still alive
Really really in love with these show 😍😍😍😍 so please keep it coming
Michaeel Durwood Neal died in prison. I have been unabole to find the date of his death. It is known, however, that, to the very end, he refused to disclose the location of Tracy Jo Shine's remains. It is believed that Neal took the 55-gallon drum containing her body, and filled with muriatic acid, to the city landfill. Both of Tracy Jo Shine's parents are now deceased.
ParentS? She only had one "parent."
damn I hate drugs.....what a change in that beautiful child.
That mugshot 🥴
And while away at school she began to experiment with drugs. Christ...
"She started dating so and so, who had just been released from prison." Christ...
The chilling part of this is that this creep is possibly out now, R.I.P Tracey
I think he died in 2019.
And the messed up thing is I could have sworn they said in the episode that he got life in jail so how is he going to be out on parole if he got an additional 45 years
He died in prison in 2015.

I’m so happy that police officer didn’t give up. So many times we are led to have connect with certain people out of circumstances and it can lead to our demise. As women, we have to be more vigilant and cautious of people in and why they are in our lives.
The murder victim did a extremely stupid decision when she said yes to get bail out by her ex boyfriend and then leave the police station with him. How #¤%& can you be?
They say the murderer made mistakes. Yeah the big mistake was the murder. Everything else is not a mistake. It’s evidence that they committed murder.
Another child lost to drugs. Her face in her mugshot shows the rapid deterioration due to that. She'd be 60 now had she taken the right path and not got involved with drugs and Michael Neal. Can't find anything saying that Michael Neal was paroled or if denied.

He pass away in 2012
Why did that song go so hard in the very beginning? 😂😂
Tracy’s mug shot looked like one of those late stage meth photos
She must of had threatened him that she would go to the police before the drug charge, cause how could you assume she was gone snitch on you to beat her drug charge.
So tragic that Traci jo got addicted to drugs and ended up associating with a murderous monster. Her mother was so concerned but she could not help Traci jo. Condolences to her. Rest in peace Traci jo.
Clever wordplay in the intro 🤌🏾
The daughter and mother knew something..definitely..creepsm.sad about the world that there are people like this
Put Neal's mother in prison and she knew something..
YOU TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH. TQ.
Actually he's dead...
Forensic files and that spooky musicals😂. Lucky am watching it in the day
I’m not going to overlook the fact that she was in a relationship with a racist. To be with someone who doesn’t like a certain person because of their face, you’ve got to be the same way. She didn’t like certain people but it was her own kind that did her in…and brutality! We can label this the same way we label everyone else’s crime. I don’t care who don’t like what I’ve said. It’s not changing.
My thoughts as well
Another reason why i don’t care!!!! After i heard that part, my thought was, oh well!!!! i ONLY continued to watch was to listen for the forensics!!!!
Can’t remember if i saw this one before. If so, may have missed that part about the racism!!!! Keep in mind, she was ONLY going to testify to save herself!!!! She was still a racist!!!!
Guess you've never been with or around people that help different beliefs than yourself. Just because was a racist doesn't mean that she was. Drug addicts don't care about anything but drugs. Maybe he was just feeding her drugs...

A life that had a promising career snuffed out. It doesn't matter if you grew up in the best of families; once they reach their middle teens and start veering off many things can happen with devistating consequences.

It is normal. Once she’s an adult she might as well date a 90yo - that’s why private life is called private.
@@BlinfulIt's really not. Legal doesn't necessarily equal normal. Sounds like grooming by a fascist nazi to me.
This is a sad thing for many teenagers, they don’t respect their elders, they don’t listen and they thought they know and can take care of themselves. Finally, the result leads to their deaths.
