@@canon5204Why do people keep midi files instead of the project? And what info does a midi file carry? How do I export a proj as midi?
@@Makhwax midi is just note information, so if a producer likes the chords or the melody but not the overall project, they can just save the chords for another time. It’s helpful because then you can just drop in something good you already made instead of having to come up with something new every time.

basically deadmaus writes his music exactly the same way i have been writing mine for years...so i'm glad to see that..and everytime i watch his videos i think...yeah thats me...write a basic chord structure...then change it...change sounds....mess about with the filters. etc..before actually developing the song..no drums bar a kick drum..once i have something i like over say 16 bars i start to work on it...but maybe only months later
I think most people do similar things but yeah it's nice. At the end of the day a software has a general workflow.

What was that "SH101" plugin he was using? Does anyone know where to get it?
I think it's an unreleased plugin. I don't think anyone has it but him, don't quote me on this though. But honestly just stick to using serum or massive. Those are way better and will provide a nice UI with waveforms and visuals. That SH101 thing is probably something that would only be useful to you when you're being very minimal. It has the most basic UI for a synth.
Bit late to the comment party, it's a pre alpha version of fxpansion strobe. It was written by Duda and, from my understanding, works with his sh-101 synth.
