My heart carries sadness for the children that did not get grow up and have lived their lives. King George V must have felt terribly guilty when he learned of the murder of the family. Just glad I have been able to learn all I can about them. I love them.

I’m devastated and have continuously been devastated when I read the story of the Romanovs and what happened to them ! Horribly sad I shed tears every single time for this family ! It never should have ever happened . Bolshevik hatred ... just atrocious may those who killed these beautiful people rot in hell forever and eternity !

As an American, I so love this family and I'm glad to be alive in an era to know these remarkable beings so well in photos, video, etc. I dare not think it, but, just what if the Bolsheviks had destroyed all that was left of the Romanovs? I am somewhat SURPRISED that they kept so many artifacts for us to see over 100 years later. Although they preserved memories of the family, I don't think that they thought that scientist would find their remains and give them a proper burial. They murdered the Romanovs and hid their bodies for the sole reason that they did NOT want them to be canonized as saints . But, it happened anyway...despite their evil actions. LONG LIVE THE ROMANOVS!

God, do help us save the Romanovs and restore the Tsardom of Russia from your very own glory and honor. Not just for Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia's sake... but also to show your love for the people of those nations. Amen!

Truly a sad and tragic ending for the Romanovs. I was so surprised to see that so much of their lives were preserved for us to know. My grandparents were born in Russian and emigrated to Canada about 1901. I wonder what went through their minds on receiving the news of the Czar and his entire family had been assassinated.

Very poignant and moving...whatever one thought of Nicholas as a 'Tsar/leader', and one could debate these points until the cows came home...I feel as a human being he was caught between a rock and an ice age, so to speak. He always struck me, through photos and film reels that he had dreamers' eyes and a simple view of the world, so completely at odds to what he was expected to be by a sophisticated, corrupted elite he was born into. I think if he had been banished to eastern Russia as a 'nobody' along with his son and daughters and wife, been made to work hard as a farmer or whatever, he could have been perfectly happy with that. But of course, as long as he had heirs, they would be pawns their entire lifetimes. Victims of circumstance, I guess, and they paid a terrible terrible price.

I feel sorry for them for the way they were murdered especially the children. The parents made some stupid mistakes and refused to face certain truths about their country and got themselves killed from it. All of the secrecy in the czarevich Hemophilia ended up being a waste of time they should have been open with it from the get go. Nothing can be done now it's the past. 2 years will be 100 years of their execution. Sad sad. But I believe they all are in heaven and the worries of the past are no more for them so there is comfort in knowing that!

Really beautiful ! You show them as something in the past , which they are , but also they live in the now, in our hearts . And you have captured and expressed those two realities. 5 stars!

I read the book: The Passion of Marie Romanov. It tells what happens from the moment the lights went off in the palace indicating that something was wrong, to the night they were killed. After I read the book, I was in a state of distress for weeks. Terrible what they had to go through, before their death! I read it twice. Sad, but fascinating!!!
