Is there a difference between sending a file to another drive and copying a file to another drive? Does the quality of the files change depending on which method you use?
Very Informative. What would the difference be if you copy and paste a folder or file from the PC to the external hard drive instead of using the "send to" method?

Please use crystaldisk info to check both your Internal and External drive, you could also run a check disk on both drives too, if all checks out ok then try copying the files in small batches.

There is no difference and the quality does not change because the transfer is digital.
After you done this, and put it into a different PC does it transfer like that?
Yes, just do the reverse copy from the USB to the computer.

i am tryting to transfer a folder with folders and files in it size 800gb to my external drive it starts transfers about 12gb then it just stops

I have tryed to copy smaller files from the 800gb folder but it still stops after about 12gb

You need imaging software such as Macruim Reflect or Easus to do.
