Someone should show this video to all the haters that say 'nobody liked the prequels, they sucked' because if they see the reactions of all of those people, then they'll see that there are many people, not only kids but adults as well, that did enjoy the prequels.
The prequel hate campaign is one of the largest cases of historical revisionism in recent years.
And we call those people: Retards
Harry Warburg *applauds patronisingly*
Literature and Film Are My Jam I actually like the prequels
Harry Warburg You make several good points, but I like to think that this is how people react in real life. Not everyone in life has the ability to make an elegant monologue or dialogue in fact if you were to watch other people's conversations you would realize that it actually sounds normal.
You will never convince the fans who hate the prequels to love them. But they will never convince me to hate them. Yes I was a child seeing the prequel trilogy, but I saw the original trilogy as a child first. I wanted to be like Luke more than Anakin. But I learned as an adult the dangers of becoming a Jedi by the prequel trilogy. Thank you George Lucas. You imperfect man who brought an imperfect masterpiece and forever made my imagination and love for filmmaking greater than any other filmmaker.
i love The prequels
I grew up with The OT starting at age ten in 1977 and I saw The prequels as an adult starting at age 32
I love The prequels
while it's true that you can't convince someone to like them from hating them, you kind of have to allow them to form their own opinion, I used to not like them, now I do, so.
@@warnoob326 I'm okay with having civility as long as it's not toxic
Actually I was conviced. Especially by the clone wars which gave so much background history that I truly understood that star wars was a tragedy about anikain. and once you understand that you understand the prequels, their impact and why the storytelling is done as it is.
@@ibonitog That's completely fair. I can understand people can definitely have appreciation for them because of the Clone Wars. And that certainly saved the prequel era for many. What I meant from my statement overall Was people can't watch the prequel trilogy who hated it and turn around from it. Sure you can have novelizations and video games and TV series to help expand on it, but people who hated the prequels won't be convinced to love them by just the prequel movies alone is what I meant by my statement. I'm happy the Clone Wars saved the era for you and helped you enjoy the movies more though. I like delving deep in the lore as much as I can to appreciate the Star Wars story from the movies, tv and streaming services, video games, books and more.
And here we are...14 years later...the kids we once were...and still might be...are going to see this story come to an end once again...
Oh, I'm not talking about the sequel trilogy, I'm talking about the Clone Wars' final season. That'll be the true end to the prequel era that I've grown up with.
Fuck 7,8 and 9
Yeah the sequel movies were complete shit. At least they got to their Star Wars Underworld show as the Mandalorian.
Before the dark times, before Disney..
I’m so sad that i saw this very happy celebration, this was was Star Wars was before.
You gotta respect that he set out to tell his story his way. What a ride, where would any of us be without star wars?
This is the true ending to the Star Wars franchise.
Seeing all these people just puts a massive smile on my face. Back when Star Wars was awesome.
I know he's the Emperor, but that was crazy when the crowd booed Ian. Fortunately, he took it in good spirits. Thanks for uploading these! Awesome stuff.
It was good booing. The booing was done in good spirits. Ian is a Shakespearean theatre actor, he’s used to it. If anything I’m sure he enjoyed such a strong reaction.
just shows how well ian acted
How can you boo the Emperor, what an amazing actor
I love this featurette it makes me so nostalgic and I start remembering what it was like when episode 3 came out more than any other Star Wars movie I'm glad I was able to witness the hype and excitement and happiness the film brought
I Can remember the countdown to seeing Episode 3 when i was 10 it was very exciting for me to see another Star Wars film at the movies for 3 years i was anticipating seeing what was then the final chapter of the Star Wars saga i remember watching the trailers months before May 19th i remember buying all the books released around the time of Episode 3 i went to see Episode 3 and i loved the movie its one of my favorites in the Star Wars Saga.
Brayden Campbell I was 7 and I could remember that Episode 3 was the most hyped episode out of the 3 prequels, I’m so glad it ended up being the best out of the 3 and such a great end to the prelogy.
Poor Ian is so good, he got booed 😅 I would never boo him! I would just thank him
IKR he's like the best part of the prequels, he's hamming it up so much and I love it
I like all of George Lucas’s Star Wars (Episode I-VI)
Yep, although with the exception of Empire, not the Special Edition versions.
The Disney movies, as far as I'm concerned, don't count.
"Nobody liked the Prequels!" Hmm..really?
This, was Star Wars. These, were the fans. Disney absolutley destroyed all of this.
Yes
Disney‘s star wars is lame
You guys are all morons haha. Star Wars has never been in a better place, even if the sequels aren't the best.
"This, was Star Wars. These, were the fans. Disney absolutley destroyed all of this."
It's ironic. That is exactly what Classic Trilogy fans were saying during the prequels. //Sidious
@@starwarsunfiltered7848 While you are right that prequel hate sounds similar to the hate the sequels garner, I think it is different this time. For me it is the fact that no artist is attached the new films unlike the other 6 which were all produced under one unified vision. They are now a business venture that is decided on by a corporate entity instead of a piece of art created by an artist. This is also how episode 7 and 8 are so drastically different in tone and storytelling. You cannot have a trilogy or a saga without a unified vision and that is what has happened to Star Wars
Say what you want, but Rick as a producer treated George very good. Not a yes man, but a good guy that let George make what he wanted to.
Rick was totally a Yes Man
@@youtubeistryingtocensorme He actually begged for Lucas to keep the scene of Yoda arriving on Dagobah. And I actually have to agree with him on that. Then the ending can come full circle.
He challenged George more than once as related by late great Jonathan Rinzler. It's mostly RLM and others like them who created the false claim that say he's a 'yes man' when that couldn't be further from the truth. Same with his other collaborators. George always listened and was open to suggestions. Just like Stanley Kubrick. He just had final say as any great artist always does. On a film the crew always look to the director to set the tone
@@hiattgrey9161 George wanted to focus on the Skywalker family. It makes sense why it was cut since we know where Yoda ends up.
For over a decade's generations, George Lucas was the guardian of story and creativity in the Star Wars universe... before the dark times. Before the Sequels.
Makes me sad watching this and knowing Star Wars will most likely never be celebrated like this again. I wish I was old enough to experience this as it happened
Ewan and Hayden are so gorgeous 😚
I agree. They are total babes and goofballs. I love them so much.
3:32 you're happy yoda didn't die in episode 3? Interesting.
@@Veckler its cause yoda died in the original 3rd movie (ROTJ) loool
Bitter sweet he didn't get to truly finish it out.
The Prequels make The OT better and The OT is already awesome
love Star Wars make my heart grow
I was there and as soon as I saw them I my hairs on my neck were literally standing up no joke
I loved Star Wars back then and I still love it today. I was inspired to write Star Wars at the age of 12 when I was watching Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
George Lucas shows genuine care for this vast world he's built alongside many other talented people. The 6 original movies, with their imperfections, feel far more authentic than most Hollywood movies we get nowadays
10:52
That kids likes TaunTauns so much because he has the same voice as one.
When i was 3 years i was doing jawa Moisés
I was born after the first Star Wars came out but I did watch them as a kid and kinda liked them. It just felt a little dated to me. Episode 1 came out when I was about 17 and that was my first theater experience of Star Wars and I absolutely loved it. I saw the following two, midnight showing, and the opening scene in Ep 3 where Obi Wan is crashing and ejects out only to slice a Droid on his way down was AMAZING! The whole theater exploded in cheers. I didn't come into these prequels expecting anything, I came in fresh and enjoyed every moment of it.
I hated Ep 7 and didn't watch 8 and 9.
I hated Ep 7 too. And I made the wise decision not to see the next two films.
God what a time to be alive and be a Star Wars this was ❤️❤️ before the dark times. Before the empire.(Disney)
I love you Anakin Skywalker♥♥♥
The final fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin (Vader) on Mustfar is epic, thrilling, emotional and heart wrenching all at once at is a former master and his apprentice, former friends and brothers fighting against one another but their fighting styles and skills are very brilliant to watch as well. I remember being seven years old watching Revenge of the Sith in cinema with my mum, dad and cousin and being in tears at the end while walking out of the cinema saying I can’t believe Anakin turned to the dark side. Looking back on that moment I find it very funny me being in tears about it and I smile. My cousin was laughing about it at the time.
This channel is amazing!Been here for years and I love that you are still posting featurettes :D
Thanks for the support :)
yeah man , thank you so much for the featurettes
and now all these kids are parents, taking their children to see it.
It is actually insane to think that redlettermedia changed people's opinions on these films so drastically. Literally the whole world loved the Star Wars prequels and it was a select few snobs that wanted to hate it for not being exactly what they wanted. Now Disney has come in with the same attitude and spit all over the incredible work of George Lucas and his extremely talented team. So sad to see
lol, it's not because of one random youtube channel
Ajay Ramachandran not entirely from them, but they definitely played a big role considering how many people cite them when criticizing george
I hate those loser fucks. They brainwashed everyone with their lies and manipulation. They're such hypocrites, criticizing the Disney movies when it's their fault those pieces of shit were made that way in the first place
i love The Prequels
@@zh7334 it's funny because it's exactly the type of movie that they should want. But because they have to contrarian they ruined these films too.
Fantastic. Boy I kinda miss those days.
Star Wars is life
Star Wars Passions i agree
it's funny how Hayden has to bend to hug people cos he tall
He's only 6'1, he's not that tall.
they were all a masterpiece!
Everyone talking about the audience booing Ian, nobody noticed Vader giving Hayden a nod.
I totally forgot about these. Thank you.
Part 2 is a reminder that we all thought this WAS he last film. I am ever thankful we continue to get more and more Star Wars. It was so damn depressing to think we'd never get another film. Be grateful. BE SO FUCKING GRATEFUL.
Thank You SO Much For Making These AWESOME Star Wars Videos And Featurettes!!!
I Love the romance
star wars given you the chance to do your dreams.
Love ya George and Company! From the very beginning to the fact that there is no end... I thank you all so much! Brilliant artists all the way around, from behind the scenes to smack dab in front... all the fans too... this whole thing just Rocks!
What an amazing and wonderful journey!
Of course I'm also talking about the original Clone Wars cartoon, the following animated series, Rebels, the entire EU and all that is yet to come... Star Wars Forever!
Natalie Portman was bald because she was recently done filming V for Vendetta. Another great film with Nat in it.
One day I plan to make a Star Wars movie and it's going to have a lot of fun and excitement in the story. The story that I wrote is absolutely everything that a Star Wars story needs to have.
How can there be so many female fans, when the OT and PT didnt have strong FEMALE characters like REY??? /sarcasm.
Explain this Disney/Lucasfilm. Are these the toxic fans that didnt like TLJ ???
What I got from these is - it's about family and that's what's powerful about it
Yes, "The Lucas/Skywalker Saga" is family !
Episode VII -IX "In name only" seems to me like a huge 🚽 flush in comparison !
Man!! Watching this gave me goosebumps along with a few tears. Star Wars has changed my life since I was in the 4th grade when TPM came out. I love Star Wars. All of it! (Minus the last Jedi, wth was that crap lol)
I will never understand the hatred for the prequel trilogy. The cast and crew had a blast during production. They were clearly happy, passionate and excited. Despite some quality dips, a lot of love and plenty of hard work went into making the films. The outcome SHOULD be good. The fans clearly loved it, especially the kids. They loved George, they loved Hayden. What went wrong?
Fast forward to today. The sequel trilogy was plagued with creative conflicts and toxic work environment. Even a toddler would say that the new story is absolute nonsense.
I love how now we know EXACTLY what shot that was on Mustafar.
"And we're gonna finish here" Haha
10:54 "what do you like about tauntauns?" makes tountoun sound lol
as george always said the movies are for the fans.forget what the critics and haters say.as long as the fans are happy thats all that matters.and i agree.yes every film has haters.its sad but true, but the haters will NEVER make me hate the prequels .they were awesome.
I love seeing those 2 little black girls showing love for the prequels. According to Disney Star Wars and their identity politics this should be impossible because “there’s no one that looks like them or represents them in these mostly white films.” Just shows you that the human experience and how it emotionally resonates with people has nothing to do with identity politics
Too bad the Star Wars Saga wasn’t actually over
Thats right! 6 FILMS! ONE vision. From George Lucas. Take note Di$ney!!
Gotta give it to SW fans for immersing themselves into the universe. They even booed Sir Ian because he played Palpatine. 😂
Gotta give it to Sir Ian for being a top bloke.
2017 "this is the end of of the Star Wars, what a ride!"...... 2022 "hold my beer".. BAARRRRRFFFFFFFFFFF
Great Video!!!!!!!!!
Before the dark times, before Disney…
The kid with the tauntaun sounds like a tauntaun. The force works in mysterious ways...
There has be a reason why Hayden is going to at Star Wars celebration for this year.
Probably because he's returning in TLJ.
TheNuisanceBird source?
+SkintSNIPER262 It was a guess. He probably is though.
Certain he will be a force ghost in EP8
I’d say even if he isn’t returning in TLJ, the recent softening towards the Prequels has allowed him to re-engage with the franchise that shunned him & 1-3 for years. I’m very glad to see it.
People booed Ian Mcderman!!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!
He's the villain. Why not?
@@arnavbhattacharjee2035 He is an actor (?
@@anakinskywalker7323 Pfft. He's a _Shakespearean actor._ Being booed is part of the job.
It was in good natured jest.
what an amazing time
11:27 sadly it did. Disney murdered it and defiled it after it was dead.
Hello there
We all will die, our children and grandchildren and Star Wars will still throw out content out there
"Started with a whimper...ends with a whimper." - George Lucas
real star wars ended that year
I don’t think they should have Vader next to the younglings
So sad to watch this and then see how Disney have tried to destroy this franchise.
This is starwars not the shit we have now.
I loved solo
Kind of weird how they'd get Stormtroopers and not Clone Troopers.
Before the dark times
before disney
9:09 - 9:44 Precursor to Rogue One?
The Clone Wars isn't live-action. This was a cancelled show he was talking about. Lucas had nothing to do with Rogue One or anything Star Wars now
bootleg317 George was talking about the cancelled live action Star Wars Underworld series. It was going to be similar to a bounty hunter show and provide a more mature and dark Star Wars for fans.
From memory, they were wanting to do a live-action TV series about different characters as George mentioned. However, they wanted each episode to play out like a movie with all the action, score, effects etc. and due to this, it was going to cost too much for each individual episode. I believe this is why they went with the Clone Wars as it was a somewhat more viable option than the live-action series.
Kind of. John Knoll came up with the story of Rogue One originally as an idea for the Star Wars live action series. He put it aside when it didn't fit with the direction of where they wanted to take it, but he pitched it again when Disney bought Lucasfilm and learned that they wanted to do anthology films.
mranderson00001 If he had waited just a few more years he could have done these ambitious episodes with Netflix, they like to have tv series with an hour long episodes.
I was 14 when phantom came out and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the prequels. How could those people boo Ian? Asholes
It was probably cause he played an evil emperor. It was all in good fun. It wasn't meant to be personal. Lol
It was in jest since he converts Anakin in the film. They weren't being serious.
George Lucas one film instead of 6. To think he wrote his Episodes 7-9 and they threw it out.
0:51 and "Disney" have ruined it.
I freaking love the Star Wars Prequels and the Original Trilogy but the prequels will always be my favorite Star Wars Trilogy. The Disney Sequel Trilogy is absolute Trash and I donated ever daam copy of the Sequel Movies since their not Star Wars. Hell I actually wrote a much better six part series set in the Legends Universe but its roughly three hundred and thirty years after the death of Darth Krayt.
Star wars: The Dark Force Religion War Saga
Star wars Episode 1: Reign of the Sith
Star wars Episode 2: Legends of the Jedi.
Star wars Episode 3: Fall of the Sith.
Prequel Trilogy
Star wars: The Balance of the Force Saga.
Star wars Episode 4: Heirs of the Jedi.
Star wars Episode 5: Fate of the Force.
Star wars Episode 6: Echoes of the Future.
Middle Trilogy
These is my Six Part Series.
The Alexander Family Saga is a nine part Saga series which begins roughly four hundred and thirty-three years since the battle of Endor, and follows the next generation of Luke Skywalker's bloodline as they battle the next generation of Sith after the death of Darth Krayt during the Second Imperial Civil War. 😉 I started the middle trilogy on April 6th 2016 and finished on August 23rd 2017 and working on completing the Saga and after Grey Jedi Order which will be the third and final trilogy that will be it.
that sounds interesting. is there any way i can read that. i wanna make crazy space movies
Deon Alexander can those be written into scripts and books for the films
That’s a good Star Wars saga I would honestly love to make a movie saga like that
I would love to watch the actors watch themselves see the movie.
Why does Rick Mc Callum not even stand up to show respect to Lucas when he has just said he has finished the last shot of the entire Star Wars saga?
man where did you find those featurettes? i loved it so much
They are from the Star Wars website.
So the last shot for episode 3 was...Anakin running somewhere? :D
3:40 is that Adam Driver in the background?
Waifu Wilson no only a random guy
5:25 why did they booed him?
what is the spinoff george was talking about
He had in mind a live action TV show that never took off. Clone Wars and Rebels did but not the live action show.
starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Underworld
what was George talking about at 9:15?
Star Wars: Underworld.
6:00 premieres
I grew up with the original trilogy..but I did like the prequels..be thankful for the prequels... cause Disney has F'D it all up..bastards
This just shows the prequel hate was always the vocal minority lol
9:28 I guess he means SW:TCW?
He's talking about Star Wars: Underworld. Scripts were written, test footage was created, but unfortunately it never got made due to costs.
and here we are today with 3 more movies made and 2 more to go thanks to disney so it's not the last movie 10:32
Steven Cai It was supposed to be. Disney ruined that.
George originally planned for 12 movies
7:29 when George Lucas turns into his own characters (Boss Nass)
Born in 1997 I was about two when the phantom menace was released and it was my first ever Star Wars film that I watched when I was four or five. If I remember rightly I didn’t watch the original trilogy until after either I watched both attack of the clones and revenge of the sith or just attack of the clones. The timing of events that far back is a little vague. I love the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. I can’t stand The Last Jedi. Force awakens was okay to an extent but last Jedi was awful and that’s why I haven’t seen the rise of Skywalker. No two character combination duo in Star Wars beats Obi-Wan and Anakin in Revenge of the Sith in my opinion.
11:58 the cringe is strong with this one
Maxx Doran these kids have probably never had sex before 😂 hahaha
lollllll
Not until KK came and ruined it!
Too many blue screen and green screens. The episode 3 looks like a video game sometimes
с возрастом понимаешь что это такая чуш))))
Say what you want about the prequels but compared to the Di$ney sequels.....hmmmm....yeah, they still suck.
It's sarcasm?
