This sport is a game of inches. So bloody annoying and easy to make a mistake. Just be patient and praise yourself when you do something good! Confidence is key in growth!!

Thanks Eddie. The side vs top spin effects on.bh flick was an eye openning. I observed it but didn't know why. Liked the open ready position approach too.

Yeah :) I find analysing very interesting!
Going to watch the word championships in late November? Hosted in Houston :)
Congrats Eddy on the 1 year anniversary for the channel. I just found you and I'll definitely watch more. The intros and outros are fine, any slight mistakes just make the videos more relaxed. Thanks for all the tips! 🇦🇺

Hi Eddy, am learning a lot of useful detail about shots and footwork, many thanks! Watching from Darlington, England.

Good tactics to learn from you
Actually i have learnt alot from you
Glad to hear that :) Please share this video for support!! It would be amazing :)
Hello from South Korea🏓! Through your very detailed explanations, I am learning a lot about table tennis techniques. Thank you a lot for your contribution to improving the table tennis skills of many table tennis enthusiasts!
Hi Hwang :) Thank you for your comment! Main reason was because I had no partner during Covid so this was the style I took. I'm really happy you get enjoyment and benefits from the channel.
I really hope I will return back to uploading this summer!
🇦🇷 Great content. Really helpful
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for also subscribing to my channel :) YT gave me a notification about you Juan!
Where do you make your most mistakes? In training or match?
@@DublinTableTennisClub Hey mate! Thanks for your reply. I started training a couple weeks ago... I'm struggling with pushing the ball correctly. During matches i feel more comfortable and relaxed with my strokes. Of course i'm only starting and i need to learn a lot.... But i think my coach is too strict with his approach. If you have some tips for training at home, it would be really helpful. At home i try to focus on leg work and shadow training. PD: Sorry for my english, not my first language.
I would have a few things!
My first few tutorials on my channel with a full light blue shirt has some tips on how to practice forehand and backhand at home.
I used them personally to improve my touch and actual technique follow through!
They all have the word “beginner” so it should be easy to find :)
Greece here, nice videos!
Amazing, we have a handful of Greek players in the club too :) Great backhands like Kreanga!!
thanks Eddy! I it was useful for me...happy anniversary too! Ali form IRAN
Thank you 😊
Hi Eddy, your english is very understandable, but also your content is great - I spoke with a few german table tennis friends, they also like your explanations ! Carry on that way !
Hi Chris :)
Ah that’s great to know!! I didn’t think people from Germany would watch my videos. Every time I’m in Düsseldorf nobody has seen my channel which predictable and normal ha
@@DublinTableTennisClub
Hi Eddy, I think the people in duesseldorf have a very strong team, many experts and trainers are there and they do not need to watch youtube table tennis. But many smaller clubs in smaller cities do not have the possibilities of duesseldorf, they watch channels and explanations like yours. You help the small clubs to become better competitors ! Greetings from augsburg Christian -
Great no-nonsense TT vids. Love the explanation as to why and not just how. 🇺🇸
Thank you for your comment :) I am really glad you liked it!! Any video suggestions?
@@DublinTableTennisClub A vid on TT common injuries, why and who to avoid them. I recently suffered a shoulder injury most likely because I’m playing forehand all tensed.
Yeah interesting idea :) It usually stems from either player has current injuries and they do not take the effort to warm up & stretch.
Or their technique / movement was incorrect and there for got strained and injured.
Will write one to see how many I can actually talk / mention :) Thank you for the idea!
Happy Anniversary...Thank you for the guidance. Will appreciate a footwork drill to improve my game. With love from Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Chess to your special day.Great work.. Keep it up. 👍With love from India.
Thank you Sandesh!! Amazing to have you watch me all the way from India :)
Yes :) Have it plans to do when I get a partner to help and or my robot!
Here from Waldorf, MD. You gave some very, very, very valuable tips and information. Especially with the getting wider, when returning to the ready position. Most coaches just say. Return to to the ready position, so that's exactly what one will do. But if you are a forehand dominant player. If you open your stance, you are in a much better position to, "kill the ball"! Excellent info! Thank you very much and Happy Anniversary!!!
John thank you for your comment :) I am glad to hear you had great benefits from it!! Good luck at your training and let me know in the comments if you need some extra help / questions to deal with :)
@@DublinTableTennisClub Thank you!
Great coaching!! 🏴
Glad you enjoyed it Marcus :) How long have you been training?
@@DublinTableTennisClub I've been playing for fun since I was tall enough to stand and play. I've been playing competitively for 10 years now. I've completely re-made my game from only having backhand punches and pushes to my forehand being my big weapon. Still a long way to go though 😉
Well good luck and enjoy yourself!
Is there a big table tennis scene in Wales? Never been myself actually (yet) ha
@@DublinTableTennisClub it is diminishing unfortunately in comparison to the huge scene of yesteryear where every pub, club, factory and workplace had a club attached. However there is still a vibrant scene just smaller scale. If you do visit be sure to check out Cardiff City Community Table Tennis Club. A guest coaching spot maybe 🙏😉
Ah cool idea :) yeah I could get in touch!
Marcus you definitely would need to join the session then!!
Great Video 🇩🇪

Thank you!! My goal is to get 50,000!! Even if takes years and year I hope to achieve it!!
Australia Victoria.. Thanks Eddy :) Great video!
Australia has a great table tennis scene!! How are the local leagues for the clubs around?
@@DublinTableTennisClub They're doing well! I live in North Western part of Victoria and we have just as many young and we do older. I think our league would have roughly at least 60 players with more being counted for fill-ins during comp if someone is ill. Additionally, there are other leagues not too far away who these numbers do not represent. So pretty good I would like to think! Honestly though, my 2 sons and I only started last yr (roughly 14 months ago). My eldest son who is 27yrs old now made it to pennant 2 pretty quickly. He came 9th out of 24 in the individual aggregate. I came 3rd in Pennant 3 and was in the finals with my team. Sadly lost. :(... My younger son who just turned 13 two months back won the finals in the Pennant 4 and was about 5th in the Individual aggregate. He is now in Pennant 3 and is finding it tough as skill wise, it's a HUGE jump - but his skill will develop reasonably fast. He seems to have natural talent like his bro lol He has won 2 individual games in the first round of teams (6 weeks).. Anyway, thanks for your videos, I really love them. See you in some more 😁 God bless
