🎬What is HIDARI?
This film will tell the action-packed story of Jingoro Hidari, a legendary sculptor who is said to have existed in the Edo period of Japan, although his very existence is yet to be confirmed. Many of his anecdotes claim that he was able to “breathe life” into wooden sculptures, which is exactly what we wanted to do in this stop-motion film. With the aim of turning this project into a feature-length film, we’ve produced a 5-minute pilot film to explore the potential of this concept. We hope you enjoy this bold mix of dynamic Japanimation-like action and stop-motion techniques, unlike anything you have ever seen before.
Our intention is to use this pilot film as a starting point to create a full length feature film. We are currently trying to raise the necessary funding and finding production partners to achieve this goal! Thank you all for your support :pray:

🎬HIDARIとは
この作品は、江戸時代にいたとされる実存不明な伝説的彫刻職人「左甚五郎」の物語を、彼にまつわる様々な逸話の数々と同じように「木彫りの人形に命を吹き込む」ことで映像化した、ストップモーション時代劇作品です。この企画の長編映画化を目指して、まずは本企画の魅力やポテンシャルを探るべく、5分程のパイロットフィルムを製作しました。ジャパニメーションのダイナミックなアクションと、ストップモーションのアナログな世界観を大胆にミックスした、これまで観たことのないような映像体験をお楽しみください。
TEAM HIDARIは、このパイロットフィルムを出発点に、最終的には長編映画を完成させたいと考えています。現在、その実現のために必要な各種パートナーや資金を調達するための活動中です。引き続き応援どうぞよろしくお願いいたします！

@@nebricback1430 yes indeed, they inspired me to create my own samurai stop motion. Well they were one of the many inspirations. Regardless they will alway have a place in my auto biography.
