if you are a beginner producer and you 1, plan to make your own independent music, or 2 plan to be producing for a meaningful amount of time I'd highly recommend focusing on improving your artistic/creative abilities as you go, it will be more satisfying and impressive in the long run, just a thought after hearing the first myth

@@based1 It sounds like you're referring to mixing. Yes, that takes training to make sure the mix sounds good across the board, but you could be the best singer in the world, if you record on an okay mike, in an untreated room, the reverb will lower the recording quality.
Zaythoven is not a good example because his originality is quite literally what set him apart. No one sounded like that back then. Even now to an extent.

One of my biggest songs actually they didn’t re mix my beat. The artist just liked how my mix was originally and didn’t like what the engineer did with the mix so they just used the wav of my beat and mixed the vocals on top and then mastered the track. So it’s really just case by case. I’d just say bottom line get your beat sounding good in your ears and then whatever happens, happens
Fact : the big trap producers are completely garbage at mixing , all they really can do is put a bunch of melodies and sounds together and make a beat and fix the volumes, they have no idea how to subtractive EQ, Compress... the basics... they don't know any of it. They just make beats and hand it off.
I think you’d be suprised but yea that’s kinda the point I was trying to get at in the vid, if you’re able to just level your beats right that’s all you really need to be able to do

I was wondering what if you decide to mix your beat and then if it gets placed have a mastering engineer only master it?
well ig the engineer will re-mix it so it fits to the artist, so the mixing I do for my beats is just so they sound more professional
