You can right click on the scales in the keyboard to midi or in scale highlighting to keep the menu open while picking scales. Super handy for finding the scale of some midi

i was there when you made the beat for the outro on stream tye shi 😼

dude remember when music had deep meaning? Nah lets just all make samples for money.
If you’re making samples for money you’re in the wrong business 😭
biggest music theory hater 🫵
all my homies hate music theory
thank you bro. first video ive seen from you and im already learning. this will help my in my college course
let’s go🔥🔥
Upgrade to FL Studio 21 and you don’t need to drag out the notes in the scale for the ghost notes
I’m on 24 but this is just how I’ve always done it lol I think there’s better ways to do it now
Hell yea I am so glad you’re uploading consistently you’re so talented and I’m learning so much! Thank you 🙏🏽
thank you bro🙏
And now back to regular business.. let's buy some more plugins
fuck yes this is such a help
perfection.
if i have no followers and no name should i just give my beats out until i get buzz or should i try to sell them
if i was in that position id give my beats out to build my brand. u gotta do this cause you love music not to make money
Yo based where did you get your tag?

4:52 no no no no. Yes use highpassing, but do not neglect low end from melodies. Also reverse the polarity of your 808 before you highpass everything to a pancake
just the sub frequencies. i dont take out so much that it takes away from the melody. just replacing it with my own sub freqs.
first beat so good you snapped on that
Preciate you🙏🙏

the drums are yessir
Just bought this and there's a bunch of females at my house wtf!
Common side effect of based1 kits unfortunately
should we use the tr5
That’s what I use personally but you’ll get essentially the same sound with the stock one. It just allows for more tweaking
Removing too much low-mid from the plugin could be just as decremental. You have to be careful. You want some stuff to be felt too. Sometimes drums sound too clean because you're hearing the drums way more than anything else. Its normal for drums to be louder and hit hard, but you should also maintain a dynamic mix for the rest of the track too. I often boost them frequencies if i got enough room...depending if its contributing.
True I just try to remove sub frequencies
Study the engineers of some of your favorite songs with hard hitting drums. In reality, the producers aren't usually responsible for why the drums hit hard. Hate to be that guy but a clear example of this is Gone Bad by Drake & Meek produced by Wheezy. Jaycen Joshua made the drums hit harder. The original files didn't sound like that.
Facts that’s kinda what I was trying to say towards the end of the video but you explained it well. But if your drums don’t hit when you make the beat then there’s a good chance it won’t get used in the first place
@@based1 You're a 110% correct. That's why I like that your first suggestion was sound selection. Which sounds simple but often looked over 🔥
2:48 sauce for beginners when it comes to leveling: get a pink noise audio. turn all your tracks down to zero. solo each one with the pink noise playing, bringing each track up until you can barely hear it above the pink noise. for my beginner ears this did the trick each time. for me it did. mind you, this doesn't replace ear training. honestly it helps in a way [with ear training].
wow that’s fire I’ve never heard of anyone doing this before
@ its something i learned from an EDM producer
I feel as though I have seen this video before. A deja vu W video bro 🤝
thank you bro
People sleep on stock plugins and it's a shame. Some DAWs have great ones. Bitwig helped curb plugin purchases, too. It's like LEGOs and now I have fun trying to recreate plugins XD
very true
but to be real, omnisphere is an must have

That’s why you pirate them
most people crack plugins tho

Based1 speaks the truth
got to
Plug ins are fun tho! If the goal is to make a ton of beats then I feel you. I mainly make music sporadically and use plug ins to learn covers and such to play live with friends. Know most people are stuck in that cycle of buying things just bc one last thing you need to finally have everything perfect. That mindset is wild but understandable psychologically. To each their own though.
true everyones got their own workflow fs

Great video 🔥 Definitely helped a lot! I have a question tho : I want to clean my VST & plugins list on FL (I have a lot that I don't use anymore), but there doesn't seem to be a way inside of FL... How do I do it?
If you go watch my video “exposing industry fl studio tips and secrets” I talk about how you can do it
Why not just make a unique data folder for saying your projects instead of zips?
wym?
@@based1 so if u have the most updated Fl studio u should be able to have every project have its own unique data folder instead of just having a general data folder for all your projects.
This is better because the data folder creates 3 folders for your project (if needed) 1. Audio (for all your recorded and consolidated files) 2. Samples (for all the audio samples used in the flp file) 3. Backups (for all the backups of that project)
@@JustonCummings oh thats fire i didnt even know that. this is how ive set up my stuff from the beginning so ive never looked into that. good to know tho thanks for explaining
