- Charlie Brooker brightens the depressing post-Christmas gloom with a satirical look back at the week's news, from the anticipated floods of Romanians and Bulgarians to the actual floods across Britain. Television reviews include Dolphins: Spy in the Pod, Celebrity Big Brother and Danny Dyer's triumphant arrival in EastEnders.
Plus, Doug Stanhope takes a look at immigration through his American eyes, Limmy asks Russell Brand 'What's going on?', Charlie casts his eye over the world of TV advertising and media absorbist Philomena Cunk visits Greenwich to conduct a probing examination into the mysteries of time.
This programme goes from amazing to more amazing every time.
"what the hell is an egg" made me cry with laughter
As usual Stanhope is so on point. "Immigration, again? Really? Who is it this time?"
Finding Chemo!
"It was like a war between robots and the sea, which is something I didn't expect to see in my lifetime to be honest. But then, I was surprised when wi-fi came out, so maybe that's just me."
Great segment, but the musak version of "Under Pressure" playing in the background kept distracting me.
sarsmask That bit was Hilaritang. Offish.
Stanhope was so right in his segment here..spot on
"Victor, the one-man hoard."
A hoard is what a dragon sits on. You mean hoard, a temporary fence around a construction site.
Yayyyy. Limmy!!!
Diane Morgan is a genius and uses her accent brilliantly - and she's a hottie. Philomena Cunk has to be Karl Pilkington's relative. Brap on.
I love that Charlie loves Danny Dyer! Although he's right, I only started watching again because of Danny and now I'm hooked again!
21:41 "We've all made sacrifices....." Where have I heard that some time this Bank Holiday weekend? (25/05/2020)
The Marillion line which is named after the band who are named after the line. Funny as fuck that is.
I was quite distracted during that immigration bit, as the music just made me think about The Simpsons
"do you want me to take your coat?"
"I'll wear your skin like a coat 😳"
Paddington bear was an immigrant from Peru.
His shows are so good i always laugh.
the whole show is genius, but I am always impressed by the stupid analogies the red haired woman can give
despite the clock being round, time does not go around like a circle!
I'd say that time was like a dimension. Like length. What is it? I don't know...
ha! Maybe a holiday would help with his troll face! Oh you had it coming charlie! You had it coming!
Where did they get a pair of X11s?
wonder what happened to season 2 ep 2 and ep 3 did the copyright police get them?
Love this show! He's a dude!
I ruined my keyboard and my screen at the 27:35 mark. Bloody hell.
Mechanical Prime Mini-droid David Camera-bot :)
Haha, Limmy in this...
"A daughter who dresses like she's in EMF" 😂
Some bits weak but Diane Morgan does it for me every time. The Marillion line - priceless, complete with her deadpan grin.
The genius, Limmy
did anyone else just sing along to under pressure in the background of the dolphin bit?
And if someone in UK critisized Muslim immigrants as much as Eastern European immigrants are critisized, everybody would scream "racist" and "islamophobe"...
Even though in most Islamic countries radical ideologies are prevalent and people coming from those countries tend to segregate and form ghettoes in Europe..
You mean like what British people do when they move to the South of France and Spain?
What is this point even? I'm struggling.
"Immigration? Again? Really?"
Oh, if only we'd known how bad it would get...
"Never find anything like this in America"? Apart from the Doug Stanhope bit, obviously ...
Charlie possibly overcompensating for the shade he threw Dyer on YHBW.
This is the last time anyone saw Limmy D:
Angry for money
Bloody ''eastenders '' is there anything worse..
Imagine if we stayed in the EU, and Ukraine joined.
With all these Amazon ordered Ukraine flags, I wonder if the UK would still be so xenophobic?
Fkn love Doug Stanhope. I hope he lives till hes a hundred and five. Geriatric and pissed off at everything, that will be funny as fuck. Or maybe he should be a brain in a jar like on futurama =)

He might not live that long. But check out Bill Burr and Jim Jeffries. They have similar themes and audience in common. And Bill Burr has even an animated show on Netflix.
Stefan B.
Ye I love those two. Bill Burr is probably the best live stand up around today imo, and Jim is great too.
Brooker confuses me, like Al Murray his comedy seems at odds with his politics
Strangely Charlie will be going out of date. Who watches adverts anymore?
That Limmy bit was fucking stupid and put me off the rest of the episode. Its just terrible and hope they discontinue that so called "skit".
I agree he really isn't that funny. first of all you can hardly understand anything he says, second that is apparently supposed to be funny I assume, that he has a strong scottish accent, and that isn't funny at all.
don't get that bit at all
I don't really have an issue with his accent-- its just that it's not funny, is extreme severely cringy to watch and does not fit in with this show's otherwise superb satirical style. It just seems like an odd segment that really wouldn't be featured or shown on tv because it's just bad taste... in my opinion anyway.
I agree. I feel like the bulk of his comedy relies on his accent or something. It might be because I don't understand his humour though.
I'm a massive Limmy fan, but I agree his sections on Weekly Wipe, though still funny IMO, aren't a full representation of his humour and abilities. He has a very dark and warped sense of humour and pisstakes quite a lot. His 3 series of Limmy's Show are a prime example of what he can do and his short story book is very fucked up. I don't blame you for not getting it, but check him out at least.
Christ, this is the series with Moments of Wonder, isn't it? Can't stand those sections. They're so incredibly unfunny.
