Expensive guy had a nice looking Coleman lantern. I like buying and selling those. My kids were big, big, big rock, fossil collectors. My 20 yo came by and picked up a bunch. Still a fan.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I think once you get the bug to do something like that it never goes away, you always seem to want to go find rocks and fossils

I love how you keep the fake banter going on like you’re actually buying any of the stuff for you or your kids or because you love it. You’re buying it all to resell it but you know if they knew that at the yard sales they wouldn’t give you such good deals so talk about how you’re buying. I can bring all the stuff home and enjoy it not.

When I was 16 my mother passed away…a family friend gave me a little ceramic turtle and said “take it slow.” Now I have been collecting turtles for 20 years. Even have a sea turtle tattooed on my back. Glad to see another turtle lover!!

That orange sled you found is the same one I use as a kid. I used to stand on it and hold the rope as I went down the snowy hill like a daredevil. Good solid sled

They did recall those Jarts, seeing them almost triggered me. I had one come down and hit me between the eyes when I was a little girl, so it's a good thing they were recalled.

You walked into a real treasure trove. I would have felt weird taking the Harley Bank for free, I'd have given him at least a token payment when he had No Idea what he had.

In the old days you could sell those jarts in a few hours for two or three hundred bucks if you used a buy it now, even tough they weren't allowed on ebay. Ebay hadn't figured out how to physically stop you from posting them yet. Then they figured out how to stop all posting of them so people sold them over at Bonanza marketplace instead, and Bonanza allowed them for a years until they finally cracked down on that too. I started on ebay almost 25 years ago and Jarts were one of the first things I discovered that had a lot of value that were pretty easy to source that was a banned item on ebay. It is the only banned item I can remember from the beginning of my ebay days.
