  • Please see an instructional video for replacing a drive belt on the Hammerhead Mudhead buggy. The process will also be very similar for the older Hammerhead GT80model.
    Basic tools required:
1 x rubber mallet or similar
    Cross head screw driver
    8mm socket or spanner
    13mm / 14mm socket or spanner
    **Very Important**
The drive belt has a flat edge on one side and a slightly tapered (angled) edge on the other side.
When fitting the new drive belt, ensure that the flat edge is fitted so that it faces away from you on the engine side.
It is easy to feel for the flat / tapered edge if you run your fingers gently along the edge of the drive belt before it is fitted.
Should the belt be fitted incorrectly it will wear down VERY quickly!

How can know the year or my hammerhead go cart?

If the go kart is a genuine Hammerhead product it should have a VIN plate. If the year is not on the VIN then the supplying dealer should be able to confirm the year by checking the VIN. Hope that helps and have a great weekend.
