Thanks for this and all your other lessons Stasch! They are much appreciated!
Any time :)
Sorry I will be more serious next time :) Cheers!
Very cool. Thanks for doing this one. Keep posting these great lessons.
Great job, I'm singing the star spangled banner for the next mma fight in Atlantic city and this really helped me
I've been wanting to learn this, you made it nice and simple and added some ways to spice it up a la Hendrix. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! I love your enthusiasm dude and have so much gratitude for the fact that you and Marty do these videos. I have learned so much!!! Keep jammin'
Thanks Brett. Been wanting to learn how to play this for a long time. Love your style. You rock!
+Kevin Hunt thank you sir! Thanks for tuning in!
you are a badass true American Patriot, I'm just starting, at 49 to just play this song don't even play guitar thought it sounds so cool on guitar, and you sir nailed it!!!!!
Awesome man! Thanks for checking out the video!
Fulltone Clyde! I love that thing. The RMC wah's are sick as well!
not mine either haha! Tough to beat Voodoo Child or Bold as Love for me but I have to play this for an event coming up so I thought I would share it out there for anyone who wants to learn an easy way to play it.
Bro 'Stache! You rock! You're a good man for mentioning your buddy overseas. That takes a lot of class man. Never shave! Never stop jamming. Your videos are a gift to all that is the internet.
Thank you sir! Thanks for watching and the kind words!
That was fun. Thank you for the tutorial.
'Merica! I love this so much and thanks for the lesson. You rock man.
Watched the intro, i immediately thought of Kirk Hammett.
That's weird. This is Jimi Hendrix's Classic remix. And I've heard Hammets solos, and this one sounds more like Hendrix.
no that is hendrix style
Galacti It's because of the wah.
Woodstock 69
Great cover of Hendrix's SSB!!!...thanx so much for the great licks!!!
whoa, I actually had that song stuck in my head all day today...
Thanks P'stache! This lesson was great, I was able to play it on the 4th of July this year! You rock!
That is awesome! Way to go!
sounds JUST perfect!!!
Thanks!
I'm going to check it out and it better be good!
Papastache, you did a really good job teaching this lesson. Thank You, Adam
I first heard Hendix's version of this on my mom and dad's AM radio. It was part of a news story about the "disrespect of our country" at Woodstock. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever heard. I was a little kid. Bravo for this lesson.
You Sir are a nice guy! Luv your vids, learned a lot. greetings from germany
great lesson thanks!!!!
You're the best. Thanks for helping me punch it up.
Wow dude great video dude I learned this whole song in a day thanx mannnnnnn! :)
He rocked the last part!!
anytime! thanks for watching.
So I've been playing guitar for about 2 weeks now, and i wouldn't even really call it "playing" yet, more like still toughening up my fingers, learning the basic first couple of open chords (A, D, E, etc...) and trying to get my fingers to memorize where they are...but I have to say, with the little tiny 10W Epiphone amp I have and a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal, im actually able to kinda sorta play this and it doesn't sound half bad! It's so inspiring to hear myself create something that sounds so freakin cool and it does make me want to keep moving forward! And, last but definitely not least, it's because of AWESOME people like you sharing what you know that make it possible for people like me (on a severe budget--------4 kids...lol) to learn! Thank You for that!!!! Very much appreciated!!!!
Sure thing man! Glad I could help out!
Although I'm Belgian, this is the most awesome National Anthem in the world!... Jimi's version, that is.
Papastache you are the best. Very good lesson man (as usual). How can i get a link to that shredding at the end?
Great Stuff.Thanks Man.
Sure thing! Thanks for watching!
Yeh man 'Stache rocked it🤘🏻🏅
Thanks!
Thanx Brother! Nice to meet ya.~peace
Keep up the good work!
I searched , and my man papa , popped up !!! Ya baby !
Lol! Thanks for checking it out!
Awsome brother!!
amazing!!!
Hey Papastache just stumbled on to your videos and I really am diggin them. LOVe the V-H Unchained by the way. iI's also nice to hear I wasn't the only one who bombed playing the National Anthem live once either. Just curious if you would do some Thin Lizzy sometime. Maybe Cold Sweat or Hollywood. No ones really seems to know how amazing these guys really were. Loving the videos and it is motivating me to practice more.....Rodney
Hey buddy, nice to see comments from viewers. Its also cool when guys reply. After all, its you the viewer that makes it possible for us UA-camRS to get to where were are.
I love this sooo much
Thanks!
That was awesome
Thanks!
I pull this video every year just to refresh my memory and then play it on the blues deluxe with the LP at max volume!!!
Sweet!!
Sir - Is the tab for this posted anywhere that I can access it. Many tabs for this song on the web and I suppose I can figure it out on my own but figured I ask you first. Great playing!!! You are inspirational. Thanks for taking the time to post this video. Great work.
Rick Gillespie wrote "Seriously? There has to be more copies of tab for this all over the internet than any other song. Just Google it. Obviously this guy's thing is making great tutorial videos not tab or he would say, "don't forget to check out my website for some great easy to read tab". You want him to search for you? Wow!"
i remember i had to play the national anthem in 6th grade and i learned from this video. scariest moment ever but nailed it completely. forgot to give thanks to ur vid ahahaha.
hahaha just saw my comment from 4 years ago 😂
Awesome! Way to go!
Aha sometimes im so amazed my only reaction is to laugh thats awesome man

killer tone
Thanks!
Awesome!!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks Cameron!
Awesome Sauce dude
Thanks Steve!
can you're next lesson show us how you did that stuff at the end. .. wicked awesome
That young Padawan takes time! That's not something you get taught, you learn that, also you need additional equipment other than just a guitar and amp, like a wah-wah pedal and other neat things like that.
yo you should teach the end part
that rriff was just jaw dropping !
Great job teaching need to make more videos
Haha I'm trying! I'm up to about 950.
As of right now I‘m doing this as the opener for my schools talent show which happens on the 12th of May but right now I‘ve had a cast on for 3 weeks. Still rocking it tho.
Good luck man!
Finally got that cast off!
Namibia the second greatest country in the world . Namibian anthem . spicing it up . making it awsome again . From Duard .
Thank you for this tutorial it will help me out immensely... But do you have Prince Let's Go Crazy?. Also Jimi Hendrix Fire?
Sure thing! You know Prince videos get copy write strike a lot so I've shied away from them. I think I've done Fire, check the main channels search tab. If not I'm planning on a ton of Hendrix soon.
You sir. Are a boss.
Nice. Can u give a lesson on a easy classic blues song that know in mind.
awesome
Papastache thank you so much for the tutorial. I wonder if I could get a little help please on this. I lost you between 7:30 and 8:00 after the 7 9 10 9 7 on the B string. What did you do on the G string before the 8-9 hammer ons? Thank you.
Rockastache! Rock on man \M/!
F-ing awesome!!
so cool
thank you sir for this video
(lesson)
You should play this before sporting events instead of someone singing! Definitely playing this tomorrow
very nice
thanks man!
Sure thing!
hey man you do the most awesome rock lessons, can you do some RUSH, i saw you video of limelight, it was awesome! can you do passage to bangkok or tom swayer ? these are very complex songs, very tough, so i thought maybe you could teach them?
Who needs Jimi when you have Big Papa Bad Ass Stache! Friggin Awesome!!!!,
After the the first 3:50. Then it really starts. But thank you it has helped me a lot. I know to stop it at around 6min mark as well. Sorry just to much extra noise for me.
Sweet !!!
Papastache I would love it if you would teach Amhrán na bhFiann (avrahn na veen [The Soldiers Song]) The National Anthem of Ireland for a beginner electric guitarist. Please make it possible, I love this channel I learned alot from you on electric and acoustic. So if you teach it I would be so happy and maybe a quick lesson on how to get a good amp tuning for country music. Thank you.
hey Brett, you got "the gift" man ... please keep it coming--- could you show us how to play the Clapton, Hendrix, & Stills leads from the 2 songs on Stephen Stills' first solo-CD: "Go back home (5)" & "Old times, good times (4)".... thx
Sounds sick! Do you or Marty ever offer private lessons anymore? I'm local in OC. Let me know. Keep rockin!
Yeah I do sometimes. Hit me up on the papastache website help section. I might be able to swing it. Thanks for watching!
Michael Pelaez hey Michael ! Check out my guitar solos and maybe if they don't and you like my style I can teach you. I have years of experience recording, teaching and performing. Thanks
First time picking up a guitar only a couple weeks ago and this is the first song I decided I want to learn. I've got some of it memorized from this vid, but started to get lost. Any chance of getting the notes to play? Like EADGBE+Fret? I can't read sheet music, but I understand that. Awesome teacher, btw. Made it mostly easy for a newbie like me to understand.
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out!
Can you do a video of catlos santans national anthem it is so heart touching
awesome man! best part when hendrix does this song is when he breaks out his wah!
very cool dude
Thanks!
Jimi Hendrix anyone?
I am Jimi. What was the question ?
Dreamiik Saf Channel I was saying that Jimi Hendrix did a cover of the Star Spangled Banner in Woodstock in 1969.
I know men. When people are talking about the national anthem, i always think of Jimi's version. So catchy and improvised
H4RDC0R3_P14Y3R I love how Jimi made the bomb sounds on his version, it actually sounds like a machine gun is being fired and all the explosions. What a statement that he made in that day and Time. Quite incredible.
#JimiHendrixWasAGod
This is the most American guitar tutorial ever!
Haha! Thanks!
Papa Stache you are a true patriot
Thank ya sir!
Epic Stache, Epic
YEEAAAH Papa ! Many thanks for ALL your lessons man..... I tabbed this out from the vid added some Hendrix embellishments and it sounds just fricken awesome with my Wah. Keep rockin the lessons brotha.. Peace ~
So I put this video on quickly realized it would stay major and figured it out myself. A pro could probably do it first try but It took me a few. Fun ear training though.
It is a great ear training. It comes together pretty easy once you get the first few notes.
That cool bro
Thanks!
it's fun if you add pick sliding, alternate picking in it, some harmonics, and whammy bar
"hendrix it up a bit just by doing that"
The hammer on is from 9-11 Hendrix 911 Confirmed
ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED
If that was a reference to the movie “Observe & Report” during the firing range scene, It was brilliant. If not, still cool.
Can you please do the harder one where he does the dive bombs and everything because I cant find it anywhere else
Camden NoLastname best way is to watch Hendrix do it there's many videos of him on here . Also have the Hendrix version tab on your Hand or pulled up to look at also while listening to the man jimi play it better then anyone
Hey there Papa!!
What Wah are you using? It has a great wah sound brother!
Totally bitchin bro.I just love you and Marty. You are awesome Player's,Teacher's and you both have helped me keep going with this thing.I just play for therapeutic reasons and I'll never be really good at it.My left hand has been injured pretty bad and doesn't really work the way it used to but if I don't play my hand gets pretty stiff and doesn't want to work at all.So thanks for all you guy's do
narly!!! cool thank you
So I can’t shred like that at the end, yet... what Chord should I end on?
How asome would it be if you could play the Scottish national athem flower of scotland on guitar in a hendrix star spangled banner style
Awweeesooome!
He's basically playing speedy licks in E minor pentatonic. He has many videos on learning this scale.
i cried after that intro
Proud to be an American!
Finally I have found a guitar lesson with a freaking Wah pedal!
Haha! Love me some wah!
Yeah!
