Thanks for posting this video and the timing is great being Namm starts soon. The Digital Black Oyster is very cool!...kudos to Ludwig for being that adventurous. So Keystone series is now Classic Oak! That is a game changer....didn't see that coming....Oak is here to stay! Speed flyer pedal looks sweet...wont stop moving. Thank you Ludwig!

I have a 2018 Sugar Maple Neusonic Kit and I hope some year that Ludwig comes out with a Neusonic(maple/cherry)snare drum at the same lower price point as the kit. That would be great to hear a snare with the same layers of maple and cherry that the kit has( maple outer and cherry inner) because the drums sound insane. Where can I get one of those cool shirts Uli?

Not a huge fan of the weird digital whatever finish on the NeuSonics. A few little complaints here and there, but to me Ludwig is the only drum manufacturer on Earth. I would consider British Drum Company, Gretsch or Rogers if they actually ever start making drums besides the Dynasonic snares. Which I am going to buy one of, even though they cost way too much money. It's just a matter of stuff I gotta have because I gotta have it. Glad I don't play golf. I would be broke by now.

I love Ludwig...but, the Speed King in $70 over priced. Tama has the finishes, Ludwig has the sound and hardware.
Digital oyster is actually code for computer vomit...🤣 Drum mechanics has already done everything that Ludwig did to modify the speed king, over a decade ago, so nothing new there. It's cool that guys who grew up with that pedal have something to look forward to with the new SK, but only if Ludwig keep it reasonably priced. Any more than 120.00 USD isn't worth getting it.
I am going to buy a new Speed King the instant they become available, for my collection. And yes, I will play it. The box art is lame. Sorry guys, I grade it an "F". It looks like there should be a set of brake pads for a 1987 Plymouth "K" car or something in that box. I will probably get a Speed Flyer too, just because Mister Potato Head told me to and I am afraid of him. Are there any changes coming to other hardware items? I have heard that Atlas is going away. If this is true, what is replacing it?
What happened to Ludwig?
They used to sponsor every amazing talent in the music world.
Now they have corporate employees.
It's about the demographic of people who buy the drums and then the audience they shoot for. Most folks who enjoy Ludwigs grew up with them, and at this age now, probably look to by a kit that reminds them of their young years. Unlike myself, young black male at 25, I enjoy the sound of Ludwig Drums, catching them right when their quality of production turned around for the better as of recent (As reviews and my local drum store has said). So it's just business. I still love their drums.

@@frankburdodrums8984 Only because of the perception they've created through their marketing. Anyone who's played DW's know what the truth is about them. They're not the best and they're sooo expensive lol
@@WavesByWayne That's where your wrong. Ludwig's are more expensive and DW's sound better. And DW has way better hardware as well. Ludwig doesn't want to pay or sponser anybody and DW does. Ludwig is just relying on name recognition from people like ypurself to buy them. You probably like them because they have a Quest love set. They didn't want to pay anybody including him but he was the cheapest person they could get.

all i saw here seems poor for me...., the company dont want to evolution..., they want to live all live about the bonham and ringo fans and things like that...., the company start to grow up again some years ago making new and fresh things with his last designer, now this man is not with them anymore and he is making his thing alone in his own company inde drums, with some fresh ideas and nice modern designs specially in the lugs and things like that..., they dont bring nothing hot here and the finishes are really ugly, cheap and poor, they are mixing diferent hardware in every serie, thing which is really cheap and poor, they are ussing still the same old lugs from the 70 only with a new chrome giving a lot of imprecision and some tunning problems, some tension rods never go straight from the hoops to the lugs, the hoops are really old with a lot of tolerance, the tension rods arent stainless steel, the gaskets from the lugs seems to be cutted with a scissor from a kid, the female in the bass lugs are low than the claws and the tension rods dont go straight, they need a real serious suspesion system for toms from 6 to 16 and they need top players from all diferent musical styles, a drum company need to be open and to have a quality product for every kind of drumming, this speed king pedal is the same, is horrible, you need to make this more serious and make a good study with a ledal ot of metal players which are the drummers really need top speed with that... and with some ones still they have like palmer or rondinelly, great players with a good feet technique for redesign this pedal again in a modern way and make a good product not that..., if im the designer of ludwig i will change everything taking the old designs like a inspiration but ina modern way with a lot of precision and a good marriage beetween the parts in every series, the first keystone x were amazing, with a real beautifull lugs, diferent than the rest companies have, the signet was amazing and fresh and now they return to the same old staff...., is not good...., they dont want to take a risk and always return to the same old thing, without evolution is not future, look tama or pearl, always in a constant evolution and making his top products with a lot of precision..., im sorry, is not good for me see this time after time...., they were the best drum company in the 70 but they never will be again if they dont leave to do this again and again..., if i catch the best drummer in the world like vinnie and i need to suck his dick every day i will do it, if he want 20 drumkits i will do them for him but i will use him for make a better products with his ideas, and i will make signature snares for him, fuck this sale tons of drums and also you can say the best one is with ludwig..., holly grail the managers at ludwig dont have brain...., and again bonham and ringo and making again things from the past..., this is idiot. sorry.
